i’ll  tell  you  this:          when  i  first  met  peter,   the  tv  was  playing  boss-beat  bandstand.                    who couldn’t help but dance,          even just a little?     [   fig  01.    the first day of the rest of our lives.   ]      and i told him,      this is our song.           can you believe he didn’t even bat an eye?   that’s my kind of man.  kind that goes with the flow.  y’know!

i don’t think he ever properly believed me,   can you imagine!   as if i’ve ever been known to say something         i  don’t  mean.          [   fig  02.    a  symphony  of  us.   ]         i told him every so often,   whenever we’d dance to something new  …           whenever that dancing made me feel special,   if it reminded me of just how much i’d really grown to like this pretty boy with the brown eyes:         𝑝𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑦,    𝑡𝘩𝑖𝑠  𝑖𝑠  𝑜𝑢𝑟  𝑠𝑜𝑛𝑔.

SPIDER-MAN’S EQUIPMENT ( 3/? ) : // 𝙎𝙋𝙄𝘿𝙀𝙍-𝙎𝙀𝙉𝙎𝙀

as a result of the fateful bite from the radioactive spider, peter parker gained several new abilities — one of them being the precognitive sense of spiders. peter feels a tingling feeling from the back of the skull, alerting him both in and out of costume of danger. it allows him to quickly protect himself or others within a few seconds of the danger happening, or it can be used to alert him of others in disguise. there are some exceptions to this, however — some foes such as venom are able to move past peter without alerting his spider-sense, and many others have attempted to circumnavigate it to gain an advantage against him. the people peter holds very closely, such as mary jane or aunt may, can sometimes fail to trigger it as well. peter’s spider-sense has proven time and again to be one of his most useful tools in his arsenal.

happy birthday, @arachbit  !    congratulations for another year of growth, creativity and being the beautiful, kind soul that you are.   you teach me everyday   &   i’m lucky to have you as one of my very best friends in this world.   i’m always grateful for the ways in which you don’t quit on me and my stubborn ways   &   incredibly  proud of the strength with which you have quit on everything that doesn’t serve you anymore in every facet of your life; it takes a really strong will to do all that you have done and i know this will only yield the greatest of rewards.   love you dearly & i’ll be rooting for you always, kiddo!

#literally it was the marketing for the ps4 game but it really makes sense for him#spider-man is just like all of us#anyone can wear the mask if they want to#powers or not if you are in the position where you can help it's a responsibility to do so#so it's not just about doing the right thing#it's about always doing the right thing so someone else might look at you and do the right thing too#it's one of spider-man's main reasons for saving people#not for the sake of literally saving lives#but maybe just maybe inspiring others to do so if they had the chance#tbd#i love the 'be greater' concept so so so much jfc

i talk about this a lot already so if it’s already familiar i apologize but i really think one of my favorite parts about spidey is how much he inspires others to not just be good but be greater
