Language Lessons (Open RP)

“Today, I’m going to teach you some common, and uncommon phrases in my native tongue. Make sure to dial back the sensitivity on your universal translators, because some of the nuance might be lost.” Cosima smiles.

“First, one of the most common questions you’ll ask there is ‘Which way to the spaceport?’ In my language, that comes out as ‘Al’eli Kao Spakaran?’ Generally speaking, any question of ‘Which way to’ begins with ‘Al’eli Kao’ unless you’re asking ‘Which way do I go to get out of here’ which is ‘Ol’ali Kao Nur?’ With me so far?”

Super Sentai Stakeout (Open to Sentai muses)

Sen pours another cup of coffee for himself as his partner for the day keeps an eye out the window. Sometime today, there’s supposed to be a sale. Someone is selling stolen goods from SPD Headquarters at the JAKQ statue, and SPD authorized him to deputize his fellow sentai heroes for this stakeout.

“Any sign of activity?” Sen asks for the third time in two hours.

Certain Similarities (Open RP)

Kasumi smiles as the statement is made. “It’s true, there are some similarities between the Ninningirls Nintality Bakuretsu Ha and the finishing moves used by Pretty Cure. However, the Pretty Cure still have more power. They can purify dark gods with a punch. I would like to study those finishing moves, however, I would need much more advanced equipment to properly understand all that power.”

The Bird with a PSA (Open RP)

“As strange as it may seem, the immunization for the Game Illness functions equally well if you are genetically human, or simply humanoid.” Bard says to the gathered audience. “Ever since the Gamedeus outbreak, I’ve been vaccinated and I want everyone, no matter what world they come from, to make sure they are immunized as well.”

Inauguration Day (inheritedsystem)

Though hundreds of years of lightspeed travel would normally separate them, the leader of the Andromeda Kyurangers has heard of an auspicious day coming in the Milky Way. And so, Cosima Elros opens up a warp gate and walks through from her homeworld to Earth.

As soon as she arrives, security guards meet her at the main gate.

“Name and purpose of visit?”

“Cosima Elros, Kyuranger of the Andromeda Galaxy. I’m here to wish the new President well.”

“Well, your name is on the list for VIPs. Follow me, please.”

The guard leads her past the crowd, up to a large seating area much nearer to the stage. Maybe from here, the new President will recognize her. She certainly hopes so. She might not have been there for the final battle, as she was one of the many who had been absorbed by Don Armage, but she was willing to lend her voice as the Kyurangers called out to everyone at once.

“Now, have you been to an inauguration before?” The guard asks. “If not, there are some rules to follow. While he is being sworn into office, the audience is allowed to clap, but not shout. Any comments you wish to make can be said at the after party, but not during the ceremony. And taking videos and pictures of the event is allowed, but you’re not allowed to sell those pictures or video without a proper license. Do you understand?”

“I understand. Just to recap: Stay quiet, stay polite, congratulate him later on, and treat any recordings of the event as mementos.” Cosima nods.

The guard leaves her in the VIP seating area as the music begins swelling. She looks across at the stage as all the luminaries arrive to take their seats. Then, the last to enter is the new President of the Galaxy, Sakuma Kotaro. Cosima puts her hand to her mouth in shock. How much the little bear has grown since Don Armage’s defeat! He looks amazing!

“We have been together for so long, and done so little planning. That’s not really my style. But then again,it’s not my style you fell in love with.” He kisses the base of her neck. “If we do the November wedding, we can be married this year. But we can’t possibly get things together for a spring wedding. If that happens, it would have to be next year.”

Candy had walked over to Nobu's house to talk about something concerning their engagement and future wedding. "NOBU-KUN!!! Are you home?!"

He’s up on a ladder as she enters, but thankfully, he’s able to catch himself. “Candy, I know this might be a…tall order, but could you wait a few seconds so I get down off this tall ladder?”

He screws in the cap on the lightbulb and does a fireman’s dismount, sliding down the sides of the ladder. With the tools put away, he heads onto the deck, rubbing his fiancee’s shoulders gently.

“You wanted to talk about the wedding?” He has puns to spare, but he’s going to hold them back. This is a serious conversation. “I was thinking we could do November 1st for the wedding. That way, we get the spooky season around Halloween out of the way, and we’re nowhere close to Christmas.”

(What this Blog is doing for Shattered Grid)

So, I decided that both my Power Rangers and Sentai blogs will be taking part in Shattered Grid AUs. So that means I have to come up with roles for my muses in this alternate world.

Here’s a list of my Sentai muses and their positions in the post invasion world of Shattered Grid.

Commander Odagiri: When Drakkon attacked, Commander Aya Odagiri reactivated Chojin Sentai Jetman, with one additional member: Herself. Taking on a surge of birdonic energy, she leads the children of her team as Black Osprey, taking over the mecha once piloted by the Black Condor.

Oishi Raita: He is in no shape to continue the fight as Yellow Owl. His power has passed on to his eldest daughter, Ako. But even if he can’t fight, he can help in other ways. Nobody suspects a farmer’s truck of carrying weapons for the resistance.

Mirai Shiori: She is no longer having visions of being Kujaku. She has fully assumed the mantle of the peacock goddess, and has become a public figure in the resistance, rallying the heroes of Earth under her banner to fight Drakkon.

Jiraiya Ki and Momochi Kasumi: Kasumi was injured in the fight with Drakkon’s minions. While it’s not a life threatening injury, he left arm is still recovering. This puts her in the role of designing gear for Ki. Ki has taken on the role of Neoninger, combining her father’s ninjitsu with Kasumi’s gadgets.

Sen’ichi Enari: SPD, as a law enforcement agency, sent as many officers to Earth to fight Drakkon as possible.  The Dekarangers found themselves outmatched, and as such have taken weapons and gear confiscated from Agent Abrella’s operations and have started giving out the least dangerous pieces to the Resistance.

Hayakawa Kasumi: I-NET was the first organization that became aware of Drakkon’s incursion. Though they couldn’t prevent his arrival, the organization that created the Megarangers was able to defeat two of Drakkon’s dreadnaughts, and the technology scavenged from those ships has been put in the hands of the resistance. But beyond this, Kasumi’s work on I-NET continues on Project Ark, a last-ditch plan to move the surviving humans to another Earth and seal the door behind them. She doesn’t know it yet, but the world she’s found belongs to another group of heroes.

Nobuharu Udo: Kyoryublue still fights against Drakkon, standing in the gap to protect those who can’t protect themselves. He will be the shield that blocks the worst of Drakkon’s attacks, and the one to deliver a bad pun when the Resistance needs something to smile about.

Cosima Elros: Though Cosmos Legacy has returned to her home galaxy, the cries of Earth cannot be ignored. She will return, and stand side by side with the Earth’s heroes. But she won’t be alone. A new team of Andromeda Sentai Kyuranger is coming with her.

Kameo/Daimugen: The ancient turtle god is underground, in a literal sense. Whenever a sentai mecha has taken heavy damage, they can retreat to a cave underneath Vietnam, where Daimugen will recharge and rebuild them.

Bard and Larri: With Earth connected to Zyuland, it’s only a matter of time before Drakkon attacks their world. However, these two Zyumans have uncovered an ancient legend, of the original users of the six Champion symbols, who fought alongside Cetas. Now they need to find willing hosts for that power.

“They’re not a bunch of amoebas in humanoid form.” He snaps his wrist, causing the blade to wrap around two of the minions, flinging them up into the air. “I’ll take those two. You get the other two. Fair?” He takes wing to meet them as they come plummeting down.

Bard holds up his blade to the throat of the Gangler Pordermen minions. “I don’t even know what a Lupin Collection Piece is, let alone why I’d have it. So, unless you want to meet the ground from sixty feet up, I’d suggest you leave me alone.”

Seeing that the Porderman are about to attack, Bard takes hold of his ZyuohChanger Final. “Instincts Awakened!” He dials in for his transformation, and strikes a pose. “Champion of the Heavens! ZyuohBird!”

He stares at the Porderman. “Are you certain you want to do this?” He gives them one last chance to run.

Ticked Bird (Open to Lupinranger Muses)

Bard holds up his blade to the throat of the Gangler Pordermen minions. “I don’t even know what a Lupin Collection Piece is, let alone why I’d have it. So, unless you want to meet the ground from sixty feet up, I’d suggest you leave me alone.”

Bard switches the grip on his blade, causing it to curve around him, so it’s now against the LupinRanger’s throat. “I don’t take kindly to being stolen from. Return it, and I’ll let you go with a warning.”
