They prepared a manger for the baby the day before Claire’s labor started.

“Jamie, if I don’t make it, take the baby to Inverness. Find Reverend Wakefield, he will help you.”

He promised her he would.

After nearly 24 hours, they heard Brianna’s first cry. She had the same red hair as Jamie.

When she called the baby Brianna, Jamie asked why. “I promised you the baby would be named after your dad, Brian.”

The little family lived happily in their cave for six years.

The couple searched for a cave or abandoned cabin. Claire stopped to pick edible plants as they walked. Once he had her settled, Jamie would hunt for a rabbit.

The Frasers recognized the landscape. Not much had changed since 1746. Jamie remembered a cave where they once spent the night and headed in that direction.

They quickly found a suitable cave. Claire used dried and fresh plants to make a mat for sleeping while Jamie gathered stones to create a fire pit.

However, Jamie reached out to grab his wife a split second before she touched the stones. Surprisingly, both tumbled into Claire's time.

Fighter jets flew overhead. He hollered, "What is that noise?"

Startled, she asked, "What are you doing here?

"We need to find shelter and make a plan."
