good evening everyone! we are hoping that you are all thoroughly enjoying the second development challenge. i know we have been actively enjoying reading up on all your characters and the information you have pulled together for them. we are coming to you live with our first official skin preview. 

pictured above is the top banner , navigation , and forum look for the site! we went a little overboard and took a few different screenshots because we just love those member group colors sooo much. our skin is the beautiful fairytales by the talented elle codes! we did go ahead and have scout and kay make some customizations to the beautiful skin to fit our aesthetic and to make everything match with our templates. overall, we’re really proud of how everything turned out! we hope you’ll love the skin as much as we do. 

skin features: easy to read and navigate, the skin and banner change with your account / member group, icon of the last person to post in a forum will show, a lovely gradient coded and placed onto the skin by kay 

site features: specific to our site we have your standard boards for claims, applications, requests, development, communications, and the like. aside from that, we have forums for the six main areas of orlando (north, south, east, west, downtown, and outskirts) as well as forums for popular areas beyond orlando, beyond florida, and beyond the united states! we’re also going to have a world building opportunity in the form of a unique business claim format that allows for you to design, create, and place a business subforum for your characters that own a business to allow for them to share their workplace with others! we’ll be providing more information on that in an exclusive preview via discord, so make sure you’re part of our discord server! lastly, we have roleplays first admin run twitter beef to drive social media interaction. again, we will be previewing that in a discord exclusive preview via discord … so look forward to that as well.

population //. 142k  median age //. 36.6 median household income //. 60k careers of residents (most popular) //. teachers, school administrators, nurses, managers, servers, cooks  about winter garden&ocoee;; winter garden and ocoee are as different as night and day, yet they so often get lumped together because they quite literally slam right into one another and it’s difficult to tell where winter garden stops and ocoee begins. winter garden is a great deal more middle class than windermere is, with more modest homes that go for around $500k. on average, rent is about $1400 a month for 997 square feet of living space. it’s a fairly quiet place to live, far enough away from the theme parks that you can get some peace and quiet from the tourist life but close enough that you can drive to disney in about twenty minutes and you don’t even have to get on I4. you’ll find a lot of small families here. this is another popular living destination for cast members. ocoee, on the other hand, is on the lower middle class to poorer side of things. your average house will go for around $200k, and while there are definitely nice parts of ocoee … parts of colonial (ie: the west oaks mall) lean on the less-safe side of things. ocoee does have the first oriental market, the largest asian grocery store in central florida and a very small “china town,” with a bubble tea store, a noodle bar manned by underpaid college students, and several other retails. the shopping center is in a state of disrepair, but those that frequent the area don’t seem to mind.

population //. 115k median age //. 34.1 years median household income //. 36k careers of residents (most popular) //. customer service, cashier, retail, server, cook, janitor, landscaping, housekeepers, truck drivers about metrowest&oakridge;; the metrowest, millenia, and oakridge area is easily identifiable as one of your less affluent parts of orlando. metrowest is a mix of middle class and more impoverished residents. home to valencia college, the area directly surrounding valencia is home to young students, universal team members, and some young families. there are some higher end apartment complexes and gated neighborhoods leading closer to dr phillips, rent averages about $1400 a month (the price being driven up by complexes closer to dr phillips) for a decent sized apartment. head down conroy-windermere road and you’ll be in millenia which is another mixed bag. the millenia mall is the focal point in this area, housing luxury and brand name stores that cater to wealthier shoppers and tourists who have traveled from abroad for a good american bargain. there is also the only ikea in orlando, if you need your swedish meatball fix. surrounding the mall are apartment complexes that throw various labels of “resort style living,” and “luxury” onto their name to drive property value in millenia sky high. surrounding millenia, however, are oakridge and orange blossom travel where you’ll find lower income apartment complexes, government subsidized housing, pawn shops, thrift stores, and more strip clubs than you could ever count. while the apartment complexes are run down, the streets in need of repair, and the crime rate high … there is a strong culture in this general area. if you want good hispanic, cajun, or creole food … this is the place to come. this is also one of the few places in orlando to find bodegas and ethnic grocery stores. rent in the millenia and oakridge area averages $1200 a month, with rent closer to millenia being higher and towards oakridge being lower.

olympus dance studio was established in 2015 by twenty-two year old kavan byeon. he had spent his childhood as an active part of the vancouver dance scene and when he moved to orlando in high school he bounced from studio to studio before deciding orlando's dance scene was lacking, and he intended to change that. it took some time before this dream became a reality, but by 2015 he was opening the doors to a dance space in the heart of downtown that offered room for classes, workshops, and practice for a dance crew that he was actively working on recruiting for. the studio //. the studio hosts classes tuesday through saturday with sunday and monday being the off days where they will rent the studio space out to mommy and me classes, youth groups, youth dance teams, and other things of the like. rather than confining the studio to one particular style of dance, kavan employs instructors and choreographers from a wide arrange of styles. lessons are taught with focus on tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, ballroom ... but there is no denying that the studios bread and butter is hip hop. after all, the studio is the practice space of a internationally recognized dance crew bearing the same name as the studio. more on that later. the day at the studio usually begins around 1PM on sundays or 4PM on weekdays, the days starting off with begginer classes that are mostly younger children and adults that found their love for dance later in life. intermediate classes follow afterwards, and then the advanced classes.

olympus dance crew was officially established six months after the studio opened its doors. kavan put time and effort into recruiting the best dancers in the area at the time and getting them onto the team. two months after their establishment as a crew, they gained international recognition for competing on a televised dance competition that prompted them to continue gaining traction and popularity world wide. they now perform every year at halloween horror nights and they have an active fanbase that follow them on youtube and social media. many of the choreographers on olympus have been recruited to choreograph for various celebrities and many of the dancers have gotten their claim to fame via serving as back up dancers for music videos and concerts. the dance crew keep with the "olympus" gimmick and each member of the crew have stage names based on gods from the greek pantheon. when a new member is officially welcomed into the crew after an audition / trial basis, they are awarded their jacket with their stage name on the back. the crew assigns each individual their stage name based on their personality. many of the newer members of the crew started with the junior olympians, the youth dance crew that kavan also manages for kids ages 12 - 17. the regular dance crew is ages 18 +

the chwe family originated from jacksonville, florida. mr chwe was navy, stationed in jacksonville in a decently ranked position that made it so his family didn't have to move around all the time. mrs chwe was a librarian and a free spirit, until she wasn't. it was a particularly dark and rainy night and she was on the way home from the grocery store when she lost control of the car. the youngest of the family was but three years old when she passed, and it struck the family pretty hard. the eldest stepped up to look after the younger in the family. the chwes was a family of five kids and everyone stepped up and played their part to take care of things around the house, even the three year old. when the youngest was six, mr chwe introduced a new woman to the family ... mrs white (obviously that can be changed). the two had a whirlwind romance, it having been years since mr chwe had dated. things were going well, but there was the fact that mrs white had three children of her own. by fall of that year, the two familys attended a wedding celebrating the marriage o their parents ... and then they began their lives together. tensions were high between the blended family at first, but the siblings did eventually grow to love and appreciate one another. they looked out for one another, regarding their step-siblings as actual siblings even though they didn't share blood. obviously the first to take one of the step siblings can decide details on that portion of the family including age range, what they look like, if they kept their original last name or took on chwe. for the five chwe ages range from twenty-nine at the eldest to twenty - one at the youngest. you can age them however you choose, just keep in mind that bryson is the second youngest at twenty-four. bryson originally moved to orlando to attend college at the university of central florida, and lingered after graduation when he had a young-adult life crisis and ignored his degree to play video games professionally. it is up to you how the rest of the family ended up in orlando, but their parents live about an hour and a half north-ish in jacksonville! if you wish to take one of the biological chwe or one of the three step siblings please message me via my ask box or reach out to me on the site discord!

good morning everyone! our discord exclusive challenge is now in full swing, and those of us here on the staff have been thoroughly enjoying reading about your characters! if you haven’t joined the discord yet, we would highly recommend doing so so you can actively participate in the discord challenge for the chance to win some really cool prizes! we’ve got even more cool prizes available for development challenge #2 hosted here on tumblr, which i’m about to explain to you now. 

the premise behind development challenge #2 is “road to euphoria,” and it is a series of prompts at three different difficulty levels designed to help you travel easily through the development process so that when we drop the application codes, you’re like “awe shit i basically have everything figured out already.” 

now with all challenges, there are rules of the road so … lets tackle those first. 

O1. members of staff are encouraged to make development posts, however they will not be competing for prizes.  O2. prompts from dev challenge one and dev challenge two can be stacked. ie: a post you made towards dev challenge one CAN be counted towards dev challenge two PROVIDED IT IS MADE VIA TUMBLR. any requests / posts made solely via the discord cannot be counted. additionally, you can stack multiple prompts from development challenge two, more on that later.  O3. you can post for the same prompt more than once. ie; if you have three characters you can post from the “moodboard” prompt three separate times for each character. if you want to make one character six moodboards, you can also do that. have fun.  O4. if we reblog the development post, that means we have seen the post and it has been counted. if we have not reblogged it, we have not seen it. if you go more than 24 hours after having made the post and you have not seen it get reblogged, please reach out to us via our ask box to make us aware (lets be real, tumblrs tagging system has evolved into complete garbage). to circumnavigate tumblrs horrible tags, we also will have a tracker channel made available in the discord where you can actively link up your different buzz posts so we can access them there. yet another benefit to hanging out with us on discord!  O5. you only have to complete ONE of the prompts from this challenge to qualify to make your third face reserve. however, you must complete a prompt from all three difficulty levels to qualify for a chance to win a  prize.  O6. we will be utilizing a points system (detailed below) to calculate the winner of this challenge. there will be three winners based on the number of points they have accumulated, and an “honorable mention” winner that is the admins choice (someone who put in some hard work for development, but maybe wasn’t able to make as many posts).  O7. for the posts to count, they must be tagged #euphoriarps #R2EUPHORIA #promptnamehere , ie the moodboard prompt would be tagged #moodboard. please also tag development posts with #member:youralias and #character:charactersname to help us keep track since some of ya’ll are using roleplay specific blogs.  so that is pretty much it for the rules … now onto the more exciting stuff.

what is a development challenge without some really cool prizes? so here is what you can win for your participation: 

prize one: early site access  prize two: a free premium member group  prize three: free fifth character slot (and an additional face reserve)  prize four: the honor of being euphorias first featured character 

just like with development challenge one, we will be awarding the prizes using a “pool” system, ie: the winner of first place will pick what they want, second place will pick what they want, then third place will pick, and our honorable mention winner will receive what is leftover. so here is how the point system works!! 

+ 1 points: for a development post that doesn’t meet any of the prompts. reblogging the ad can also count within this category, but you may only claim reblogging the ad for points once every 48 hours.  + 2 points: for any development post utilizing a prompt from level one  + 4 points: for any development post utilizing a prompt from level two  + 6 points: for any development post utilizing a prompt from level three  + 5 points : if anyone on the admin team thought your post was well thought out / creative  + 20 points: for completing every single prompt. if you complete all the prompts multiple times, you will earn + 20 for every . single . completion  note about stacking: you are permitted to stack multiple prompts in one post, however we will only be counting the points value from the highest ranked category. ie, if you did both basics and backstory in one post, it would only count for + 6 points. HOWEVER, stacking is beneficial cause it counts towards completing all the prompts and will also count towards your “prompt from each difficulty level” towards claiming a third face slot!

general //. those who have never made the great pilgrimage to florida often associate the sunshine state with, well, sunshine. they imagine a tropical paradise where they can frolic through disneyworld, contentedly eating a mickey bar and taking wall pictures for the `gram. the reality of the matter is, florida is not the paradise that so many think it to be. and those cute disney instagramers? they thank god for face tune to hide just how fucking awful they feel. the moment you leave the orlando international airport, it feels like chuck norris became the human embodiment of heat and punched you in the face. while there are occasional periods of reasonable temperatures, they are punctuated by a lot of rain and devestating heat and humidity that leaves many a newcomer experiencing this lovely thing called heat stroke. let us dive further into florida’s imaginary “seasons.” hurricane season //. hurricane season runs from june the first to november the thirtieth. it is during this time that florida’s weather is the true embodiment of hell’s front porch. on a normal day, temperatures can range anywhere from the high eighties to the low one hundreds with humidity that leaves things feeling like it’s twenty degrees hotter than they actually are. those that have keyless start up for their cars are thankful during the summer time, as they can get the a/c in their car going before they get in. for the plebs that do not have those privileges? they have to hachachachacha their way into their car and start the car and get their seatbelt on without burning off all of their skin. and for those of you with leather interiors? you’re basically fucked. june and july are certainly hot, but they’re not unbearable. morning time is reasonably comfortable, and you can almost certainly guarantee that there will be an afternoon rain storm sometime between the hours of 1PM and 4PM. the period fo time in which it rains varies, it can be anywhere from downpouring for fifteen straight minutes or raining light enough to be an inconvenience for four whole hours. it is a truly floridian thing to place an umbrella into your car, and then to never actually use the umbrella because it rains so frequently that you give up on lugging the umbrella everywhere. during the more dramatic of thunderstorms that occur during the summertime, the thunder can get so intense that it can shake houses and apartment buildings. roads will flood, and everyone will mysteriously decide to turn on their flashers and drive thirty miles over the speed limit on the interstate. because for being a state where it’s always raining, nobody actually knows how to properly drive in the rain. most of the tropical storms and hurricanes that form in the atlantic end up affecting florida in some way, shape, or form. in instances of the outer bands brushing up against the state, it’ll prompt the usual amount of rain. nothing too shocking or devestating. life will go on as it usually does. if a category 1 to a mid tier category 3 storm threatens to hit the state, floridians will rejoice as work and school are cancelled and go buy out the entirety of the liquor aisle to ride out the storm. “hurricane parties” are a legitimate thing in florida. no exaggeration. for an upper tier category 3 storm to a category 5 storm, floridians will act like it is the appocalypse and will effectively buy thousands of dollars of supplies. for those non native to florida, they typically fall into the “act like it’s the appocalypse” category no matter what the level of storm is. they’ll barricade themselves in their house or their apartment until after they’ve done the hurricane thing a few times and then it becomes normal. if you thought the heat before the rain was bad, the heat after the rain is exponentially worse. the humidity increases tenfold and you’re not only wet from rain, you’re wet from sweat that largely feels you leaving like a drowned rat. the worst of the florida summer is august and september. the heat and humidity can get so bad that it feels like you are venturing outside into soup. the air is thick, and sticky, and forget looking cute because you are guaranteed to have swamp ass two seconds into leaving the air conditioning. influencers and beauty gurus have to pump hundreds of dollars into luxury setting sprays to keep their faces from melting off, and frizzy haired chic may as well become a trend during this time of year. the recommendations for surviving the heat, the rain, the hurricane season? drink water. now drink more water. now drink even more water. find a hurricane buddy, someone that has grown up in florida and can recommend the best brand of tequila to make hurricane margaritas with. keep several changes of clothes and shoes in your car for the inevitable downpour, maybe consider using that umbrella for a change? who am i kidding, we all know it’s worth it. and, of course, drink . fucking . water. sfall and swinter //. the end of hurricane season (october and november), and december through february be labeled sfall or swinter … essentially, slightly less bad summer punctuated by occasional and surprising cold fronts. if the temperature drops below seventy five degrees, that is when you’ll see floridians pulling out the knit sweaters, thick hoodies, and the uggs. non-floridians will question what on earth is wrong with them as they are standing their in their t-shirts and flip flops enjoying the fact that they don’t feel like death for once. these tiny dips in temperature, however, will typically last all of two to four days before it spikes right back up to being eighty five degrees with humidity making it feel like it’s ninety eight again. you see why it’s sfall? because it’s still summer. late december through february can get a little more brr. temperatures will briefly drop anywhere from the low fifties all the way into the upper twenties depending on the cold front and where it is coming from. the orange groves will threaten to ice over, floridians will descend upon target to purchased puffed jackets to insulate themselves, and the non-floridians will once more question their sanity levels. florida cold should be identified as a wet cold, the humidity having a similar effect to the cold as it does with the heat. it makes it feel colder. factor in the fact that the cold times are also windy with a wet sort of wind chill and it goes highly recommended that you at least wear a light jacket. florida does sometimes have bizarre cold fronts where it’ll be thirty eight degrees at 8AM and then by 2PM it is in the mid-eighties. it is always recommended that you plan your “warmer” outfits with layers that can be taken off to reveal layers more suited for the summer. or just carry a change of clothes and shoes in your car. and drink . fucking . water. the pollening //. march begins the season best known as the pollening. the temperatures are finally manageable, ranging anywhere from the high sixties to the low eighties with the bare minimum in humidity. when it is humid, there is typically the presence of a nice breeze to cool you off and keep you from getting too sweaty. so while you’re comfortable physically, if you are one of the many to be afflicted by seasonal allergies then your sinuses will be making you miserable. there is only so much that one can do to enjoy the weather when they have a stuffy, runny, crusty nose and watery, itchy, eyes. invest stock in claritin and tissues, my friend, because that pollen is going to fuck you up. the pollening typically spans march through mid to late april. it’s gonna be may //. late april through may is the most ideal time to be living in florida. there is some heat and humidity, and there are occasional days of on and off thunderstorms … but it these times when you need to make the pilgrimage out to cocoa or clearwater for a needed beach day. it’s sunny, it’s comfortable, there is a breeze, and a distinctive lack of pollen. it’s not the best time for theme parks because it’s spring break season and everyone from other states are there, but floridians will take advantage of the good weather for barbecues, picnics, and beach days. it does get notably hotter very fast the later you get in may, and the last two weeks of may start that late afternoon rain that you can set your watch by; foreshadowing the june through november misery that is hurricane season. conclusion //. florida, like most places people live, is an acquired taste. there is very little that can be done to warn you about the actuality of the weather. with temperatures that can range anywhere from the hundreds to the high twenties, and a sticky humidity that can make you question all of your life choices … there is only one thing that can be said about surviving florida: drink . fucking . water.

The further you travel into St. Cloud, the less populated and the more country it starts to feel until you’re surrounded by a sea of cows and farmland.
