A tease with a heart of gold

Yunho x male reader

Prompt: Yunho loves teasing y/n, he loves how cute he looks when he's annoyed by it. It was all playful for him, he never meant any harm to the other boy. Though Y/n writes it off as yunho annoying him for the fun of it and just putting it in with the other teasing he gets. So it's no surprise that when his feelings get hurt and he discovers yunho found him crying, that he'll only assume the worst. Right?

"Well aren't you bright today, Mr sunshine" another teasing remark thrown by the one and only Jeong Yunho "fuck off goldilocks" y/n bit back "now why would I do that? When you're my favourite person" that was always yunho's subtle way of saying 'hey, I kinda have a crush on you'. To y/n it seemed far from that however, thinking the tall boy only teased him to annoy him.

This is how it always went, ever since he had layed eyes on the smaller boy, he was immediately drawn to him. Yunho adored everything about y/n: the way he dressed in such a unique and confident way, God he loved how the smaller looked, how he smiled around his friend, San, who yunho definitely wasn't slightly jealous of. The way y/n came off mad and cranky when it came to yunho, but so sweet and gentle to people who needed his help.

Unfortunately the only way yunho could ever approach him without becoming a flustered mess is by teasing. Of course yunho would never say anything that he knew would upset the boy, he just kept it to lighthearted teasing.

It was a regular day, students filling the halls, y/n was wearing another one of his outfits, this time revealing a bit more skin than the average guy would want, so of course school bullies decided that now was the time to strike

"so are you like, a whore or something?" y/n stopped dead in his tracks, turning around to face who called him that and of course, it were the straight hypermasculine jocks "I'm sorry what the fuck did you just say to me?" the jocked smirked "I didn't know sluts were this dumb, or are you just that stupid?" y/n didn't have time to answer, feeling someone groping his behind and smacking it "you know for a fag, you do have a nice ass" y/n pushed the jock off him "fuck off!"

"oh the fag's got guts, I thought you all were sissy femboys" the boy started panicking, what was he supposed to do? He can't go up against all of these guys. All whilst fearing what else they'd do to him, he was truly out of options, seeing as most students were inside their classrooms by now, most students at least

"leave him alone!" there came y/n's saving grace in San "whoa buddy relax we were just having some fun" the other didn't answer, instead punching the jock "AH- what the fuck dude?!" San's stone cold eyes met the bully as he rubbed his cheek "fine, we'll leave, but don't think I've had enough of you yet" he said, directing his voice to y/n, who looked absolutely terrified.

As the group of boys walked away, San went to check up on his friend "did they hurt you?" that question was the final straw. No longer was y/n able to hold back his emotions "the-they t-touched-" y/n couldn't even finish the sentence "do you wanna go somewhere more private?"

Yunho was sitting in his class, daydreaming about one particular boy "you are so obviously in love" his friend, Yeosang, commented, which snapped him out of his daydream and made his ears quickly turn red "you know, maybe you should just talk to him instead of teasing him all the time?"

"I can't, I always freeze up when I try to form any normal conversation with him" he whined. just then, two boys from what yunho assumed to be a sports club, considering the jackets, rushed into the classroom "why are you late?" the teacher asked sternly "ah, sorry, we thought our class was somewhere else today" they sat down near him, whispering at a volume that was just high enough for yunho to pick up

"man, why'd that blue haired dude have to come ruin our fun" blue hair? One of the only people at the school with that colour was San, y/n's best friend "I mean come on, with those clothes he was practically begging for someone to feel him up. Why else wouldn't he just wear normal guy clothes" yunho was almost certain he knew who they were talking about "though for a fag, he does have a nice ass"

that was the final straw, Yunho knew he had to go do something. He wasn't just gonna stand by as y/n suffered "may I go to the bathroom?" as soon as he got permission he practically ran out the door, searching where the boy could've gone off to.

"San, you should really go to class, you're gonna be late" said male only shook his head and remained next to y/n "I'm not leaving until you feel better" he appreciated his friend staying with him, but the boy really didn't want him to get into problems because of him "San please, you're gonna get in trouble...and I wanna be alone for a bit"

"will I see you after school?" y/n nodded, trying to reassure his friend that he'll be okay "I'll get going then, you better keep that promise or I'm looking all over campus for you"

As San came out, he spotted a familiar tall, concerned looking boy "yunho? What are you doing here?" as he spotted the blue haired boy on the other side of the hall, he was filled with relief "do you know where y/n is?" San was very suspicious of the boy, given his protective nature "why should I tell you? So you can go harras him too?!"

"what? Of course not.....listen, I heard what happened and I just wanna make sure he's okay" he felt his cheeks heating up but he payed no mind to it, y/n was more important "do you....like him?" San asked, still suspicious of the boy. Yunho nodded and the boy gave in "fine, he's in that closet over there" before he left he gave one final warning "if you make him feel worse, I'll personally come after you"

Yunho had no time to think about the warning, he just wanted y/n to be okay. He practically sprinted to the closet, carefully knocking on it as to not startle the boy "San I already told you, leave me alone" he heard come out, the words being broken up by tiny sobs and sniffles. Yunho opened the door, hearing him cry was heartbreaking to the other boy "I'm not San, are you okay?"

"fuck of, Yunho, I already had enough shit done, I don't need you to make it worse" he could make out y/n's figure in the dimly lit room, his face buried in his knees "I'm not here to tease you, and you know I've never and would never tease you for something like this-" he was cut off by y/n, finally looking up so yunho could witness the sight of the broken boy. It broke his heart "how would I know that?! All you've done is throw comments at me!"

"I didn't know you'd take them like that...... y/n I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean to genuinely upset you" y/n was beyond baffled at the boy that sat down in front of him. never would he have expected yunho to apologise for anything "why are you saying sorry?....why are you even here if it's not to make me even more miserable?"

Yunho hesitated for a moment, questioning whether this would be a good time to confess his undying crush for the other boy "because......because I like you, I have since I first saw you. But anytime I tried to talk to you I got too shy or didn't know what to say. Admittedly it was kind of stupid to tease you and hope you'd catch on.......sorry" y/n was beyond speechless. Yunho liked him? Said boy had his ears and face completely red "I-I thought you were like the others..."

"they went somewhere no one should go. And for the record...i-ummm...i th-think you look really good with these clothes. You always look good" y/n couldn't help but hug yunho, who was beyond excited and happy to receive it. He felt the other sniffling and still lightly sobbing "ssshhhhhg, it's okay"

Y/n cried in the other boy's arms for what felt like hours He felt comfortable and safe in the other's embrace "thank you for not leaving me" yunho's embrace became slightly tighter, reassuring him that the tall boy will stay by him "next time someone bothers you like that, I'll help you, properly"

As the final bell rung and students rushed home, San was waiting by the gate. He hoped y/n was okay, and hoped that yunho didn't make the situation any worse. If the taller boy did anything upsetting to his best friend, he would personally drag yunho to hell.

Amongst the busy crowd he spotted two familiar looking people. Once he realised it was in fact the people he had be waiting for, he rushed towards them. San embraced y/n in a long, tight hug "I'm so glad you're okay" he took the other's face in his hands to inspect for any bruises "he didn't hurt you, did he?" y/n shook his head smiling with a small red tone dusting his cheeks

"good. You're safe today, Yunho." the taller sighed in relief. As San was about to drag y/n off so they could go to his place, the other stopped "wait! Yunho, since we kinda settled things, why don't you...come with us?" the boy was speechless from pure shock, before regaining himself, cheeks and ears practically on fire by how much they blushed "uh-yeah sure, I-I'd love to"

"alright love birds, let's go then" San teased as he watched both of them become even redder than they already were. As he went ahead, the two 'love birds' trailed a bit behind him "you never actually answered my little confession you know?"

"oh? Well I guess I was you know, a little busy with my own problems to fully process it" yunho giggled at the other's comment "well, for what it's worth. I meant everything I said in there, I really do like you, hell maybe even love you! But it's okay if you don't feel the same way. And if you want me to stop bothering you-"

He got cut off by y/n kissing his cheek "I still need to figure out my feelings a little. But I think if you have a bit of patience, maybe we can make this work?" yunho eagerly nodded, already excited that he was simply given a second chance

"are you guys seriously just leaving me like a Third wheel?!?" San yelled from a distance, snapping them out of their lovey dovey state "we should probably go" y/n laughed and started running, the taller boy following close behind

and as a final note, with this change likes are officially completely pointless for content creators. up till now they served to boost a posts placement in the tag searches (a post tagged #girl with 40 likes would show up higher in the search than a post tagged #girl with only 10 likes,)

Attention Content Creators

There’s a new Situation and because of this Situation I can’t even tag anyone to spread the word. I was recently informed that as of about 18 hrs ago at this point (Jan 1st, 1pm EST) NO NEW POSTS are showing up in ANY tag search on ANY browser/app. I’ve checked this to confirm.

Myself and many others have noticed that posts have been taking a very long time to show up in tags these past fews days (my last post took about 5 hrs). Yesterday around 2pm EST staff reported they were aware of the issue and were working on a fix. This new development appears to have started around 7pm EST, which leads me to believe it’s a result of the “fix” that’s currently in progress. Unfortunately this has made the already bad situation impossibly worse in the meantime.

I have no idea how long this will be an issue but you may want to hold off on posting any new content until it’s sorted out.
