I don't know if I'm the only one who particularly likes the "fall in love at school" plot? I especially like to see some fic where Gellert and Albus are in the Triwizard Tournament, or that Gellert and Albus are just two normal high school students without magic and they fall in love...if you've watched fic like that, I hope someone can recommend it to me!😭😣

EPISTOLARY

Thirty-Five Owls – The Grindeldore fic that all others can only aspire to. Read it first, read it last, read it again and again and find new things to love about it each time. Perfection.

Ad Familiares – A late-night conversation in letters.

SUMMER OF 1899

Let Perpetual Light – A complete narrative of their summer together that may be my favorite take on it. Its use of Ariana’s perspective and deconstruction of the Hallows mythology are simply brilliant.

Golden, Ripe, and Rotten – Three glimpses into that summer in Godric’s Hollow, from its beginning to its end.

The Motion of Mutable Things – Absolutely beautiful lyrical language; a poem in prose.

Those Faded Old Glimmers – The course of the Albus/Gellert relationship split into five movements.

Order of the Parrot – Five times Albus and Gellert tried to predict the future, and the one time Gellert did.

Every Shining Moment – “Here are three stories,” Gellert says, holding up his fingers. “Which one is the prophecy?”

nobody else but me – Albus Dumbledore discovers that no matter how hard you try and move on, you can never really escape your past mistakes.

A Confederacy of Deceivers – Albus Dumbledore stops deceiving himself, 45 years too late.

Beautiful Nightmare – Albus Dumbledore wakes up with his partner, Gellert Grindelwald, in a world that they rule together for the greater good.

Strange Comfort – Gellert needs a distraction. The memories, he finds, don’t die so easily.

dear forgiveness, i saved a plate for you – Almost thirty years after Ariana’s death, a stagnant and repressed Albus Dumbledore decides he could use some counseling.

Just thinking about the summer when Gellert and Albus fell in love makes me cry and go crazy. Those were the only two romantic months of their lives when they were madly in love with each other…😭

there's something so endearing, so fucking sweet about 17 yo albus dumbledore writing "that was your mistake at durmstrang! but i do not complain, because if you had not been expelled, we would never have met" i CAN SEE the :D at the end, i swear. i would give up anything to live a peaceful live with this adorable man.

i bet he had (still have, thanks to jude law) big heart eyes, sighed dreamily while doing anything, laughed at really bad jokes gellert told. even when he was older, he saw himself as a fool for love, and we see the innocent faith he puts in it. so, can you imagine he, the young man who always felt a certain distance from other people, who, since young age, was more a role model of perfection than an actual person, feeling love, first love, summer love, intense love that made him do a blood pact? im going insane?
