He's not sure what to make of the nickname 'Ghostie' — it is both nonsensical and tactically disarming. Fun and charming isn't the intended image this mask is meant to convey, yet it does well to lure a survivor into a false sense of security with the idea that it is harmless. What a conundrum... Just like the man under the mask.

Humans will do whatever they can to avoid the primal emotion that is their fear, which unfortunately includes making light of the terrors they must face. Humor is a coping mechanism, after all, but how much is he willing to allow his characters to cope with the narrative?
