Owls borne of Teldrassil

Serilda unfurled the scroll slowly, taking care not to test its frailty; she'd lived long enough to know that even her own memories outlasted most physical mementos. The ink still looked resplendent in the moonlight, and she read it with warm nostalgia:

"Let all who gaze upon this document know: the bearer walks not alone. Her eyes are doubled, her vigilance ever aloft. She stands now among the Watchful, whose owl companions see beyond veil and fog, and whose silence carries the weight of millennia." "Her name:

Vespera"

It is an honor to be entrusted with the care of an Owl born from the boughs of the great tree, Teldrassil. Vespera had not yet matured, and her training was incomplete; she was injured in a skirmish that also took the life of her sentinel carer. Serilda was chosen to heal her and continue her training, and was eventually formally recognized as being her responsibility. Serilda takes her responsibility to Vespera very seriously, and forbids her from reprising her combat role until the priestess is satisfied that she is ready.

Serilda could feel it: power, warm and soothing, beneath her skin. It thrummed with certainty. Savus’ words pressed against old wounds, whispering to the part of her that still ached for justice. For control. It would be so easy for her to let it loose: To burn away the fetters that bound her, to tear through and silence his vile voice forever. The words that dripped with honeyed poison, spilled into the cracks of her doubts, her fears. The priestess' fingers trembled, her breath shuddering against the weight of this presence, against pain, and it took all the strength she had to know her enemy and to see it for what it was. She drew inward instead of striking outward. She reached for the quiet—the stillness of moonlight upon dark waters, the certainty of the night sky unchanged by the chaos below. “I will not be remade,” she murmured, voice quiet but resolute. “Only the Goddess shall remake me.” She turned her shoulders inward, curling herself like a flower, quieting herself into a reposeful state. The light within her did not explode—it did not lash out with reckless abandon. It unfurled. A soft, luminous glow rose from her skin, gentle as moonlight spilling across the sea.

World of Warcraft - Winterspring

Another drawing for WoW’s 20th anniversary! Drawing all of my favorite zones to celebrate Azeroth and beyond✨ 

I think Winterspring is a universally beloved zone regardless of which xpac people started with. It’s the ultimate cozy snowscape and I miss it so much 💜 (haven’t played in 4-ish years) Spent so much time during vanilla venturing through the zone to sneak into Hyjal and to farm herbs before raid night.

Any herbalists recognize some of the plants?? ☺️

Reblog if your Nelf is canonically unnerving

I wish they leaned more into Malfurion and just night elves in general being a terrifying presence in game. They are primarily nocturnal. Humans at least don't like the night in general as like a defensive adaption against predators.

Night elfs should be more horrifying to humans and other diurnal races. Need more Night elves in creature mode just unnerving their non elf friends.
