move me, baby | sp
Title: move me, baby
Rated: T for the first four scenes. M for the last.
Words: 3314
Pairing: Sweet Pea x reader
Summary: Somehow, Sweet Pea starts calling you “baby”. The nature of the petname evolves.
AN: It’s been a hot minute since I wrote a reader insert fic, but here it is!
The bench beneath your back is uncomfortable. You shift again, waiting for the artist, an older Serpent named Micah, to finish prepping his station. Nervously, you twiddle your thumbs, chewing at your lower lip. Already you’ve begun to fidget and the tattoo gun isn’t even out yet.
And really, you shouldn’t be as nervous as you are. You’ve seen Micah’s work before and know he’s a damn good artist. It’s not like he would be doing the Serpent’s tattoos if he wasn’t. Besides, you grew up on the Southside. It’s practically criminal that you made it this long without getting one, even if you aren’t a Serpent yourself.
“Oh, come on,” Sweet Pea huffs, causing your gaze to snap to his. He glances down at you in irritation, his lips pressed into a thin line. “Don’t be such a baby. It’s just a tattoo.”
You roll your eyes at the tall, gruff Serpent. Of course he would think that. Sweet Pea’s favorite past time is getting himself beaten up by the Ghoulies. You’re not even sure pain is part of his vocabulary at this point. “Why are you even here, again?” you ask, quirking a brow at your surly, sort-of-friend. “Don’t you have someone else to bother?”
Not that you want him to leave. The only reason you haven’t bolted from the bench yet is because of his silent judgment grounding you in place.
Plus, you think as you look him over, gaze lingering on the angry, two-headed snake inked into the side of his neck, Sweet Pea has always been pretty damn good eye-candy. That certainly makes up for him sitting there and judging you like an asshole.
Sweet Pea just shrugs. “Moral support.” He crosses his arms and leans back in his seat, completely relaxed.
“Right, because you’re so supportive.”
He reaches out and pinches your exposed hip, making you yelp and jerk away from his mischievous fingers. On reflex, you swat at him, and Sweet Pea chuckles when you miss, a deep baritone that sends a shiver shooting right up your spine.
Before you can yell at him, Micah steps back into the room. The older Serpent flashes you a brief smile as he fixes his gloves and settles into the chair on your left. “All right, Sweetheart, you ready?”
You manage to nod and resist the urge to fidget as he presses the stencil to your skin, a simple flower that follows the curve of your hipbone in the front.
(You’re so preoccupied with the whirring of the machine and the nerves bubbling in your stomach that you don’t see the way Sweet Pea’s eyes trace the hem of your underwear all the way to the blue stencil on your hip.)
Micah draws the first line, officially starting your first tattoo, and your eyes squeeze shut. Your teeth dig into your lower lip at the lick of pain that curls through you. It’s over as quickly as it starts, but you don’t hear the encouragement Micah murmurs.
Sweet Pea leans down toward you. “Just remember to breathe,” he says, just loud enough for you to hear over the buzzing of the gun. “You’ll be fine. Just don’t—”
“Sweet Pea?” Your voice comes out much softer than you mean it to, more breathy, a little shaky, but just loud enough to catch his attention. You swallow. “Just shut up and hold my hand.” The fingers of your right hand wiggle to emphasize the request.
For a second he just stares at you in surprise, lips slightly parted and dark eyes wide. His jaw tightens, causing the snake on his neck to tense. Micah smiles secretively.
Finally, Sweet Pea rolls his eyes. “Baby,” he grumbles as his hand slips into yours.

“If I die, I’m going to haunt your ass.” for the drabble requests! sweet pea of course :) love the hades!pea fic!!!
a/n: thank you for the request!
Tumblr media
You never expected when you moved from Greendale to Riverdale that you’d be holed up in some place called the Whyte Wyrm with guys named Fangs and Sweet Pea and Jughead.
Who let the parents name the kids in this town?
But, after you graduated college and your family moved to their dream home in the mountains, Riverdale was the only place you could afford a one-bedroom apartment in. You kept to yourself, minded your own business, did your daily tasks, and came home and went to sleep only to start the cycle all over again.
The one night you decide to break routine and go out late for some ice cream you get hauled in by some gang member and forced to hide under a bar.
“It’s for your own protection,” the tall one named Sweet Pea said. He didn’t so much speak as growl, but you’d be lying if you said you didn’t find it the slightest bit attractive.
You shake your head and produce mace spray from your purse, “Listen here, buddy, I can take care of myself.”
He rolls his eyes and you notice he curls his upper lip when he’s annoyed. He swallows, his throat bobbing, and then looks you directly in the pupils, “I can’t help that the Ghoulies are trying to take new turf. Look, I can’t keep a clear conscience knowing that an innocent might get caught up in that.”
“What kind of town is this?!” You run your hands over your face, “Seriously, what is going on around here?”
“You’re on the Southside, babe,” he smirks as he looks down at you, brandishing knives in both hands when the doors squeak open. “That’s just the way it is.”
You lean over the bar and grab him by the bicep, staring up into his eyes, “If I die, I’m going to haunt your ass.”
He winks at you, “I’d be honored.”
You shrink back behind the bar, gripping the mace spray in between your fingers so tightly your knuckles turn white. You close your eyes; if you’re going to die, you don’t want to watch as the person kills you.
There are scuffing sounds as bar stools and chairs are thrown across the room. You wince when you hear knives slicing against leather and skin, but you try your hardest to keep planted behind the bar, back pressed into the grainy wood.
The room goes quiet and your heart stops beating.
A pair of dark eyes pops from around the edge of the bar and you barely have time to reach for your mace before he’s got your wrist in his grip and a laugh on his lips.
“So about that haunting,” he teases, raising a brow.
You notice a small cut on his forehead and you can’t help it as you reach up to ghost your fingertip over the area. Your eyes dart to his, “Yeah, about that.”
“Instead of haunting my ass, why don’t I take your ass to Pop’s for a shake?”
You nod, letting him help you to your feet, “I’d like that. My haunting schedule is a bit full already. My milkshake schedule, however…that’s pretty open.”
Sweet Pea laughs and opens the door to the Whyte Wyrm, showing you to his motorcycle, “Well, I’ll have my people talk to your people, and we’ll see about the haunting. In the meantime, Pop’s makes a mean strawberry milkshake.”
send me a drabble starter!

The Southsider (pt. 9)
Sweet Pea x reader
Chapter Summary: As y/n prepares for an important event in her life, her humor stirs up some interesting reactions from those she cares for.
Word Count: 1978
Chapter 1 • Chapter 8
Tumblr media
Toni taught you the main moves, and you were determined to perfect them. Some of the dance had to be from your own creativity, which you figured out along the way. This had to be perfect. Not just for Sweet Pea, but for you. "Alright, I think we could take a break. And by break I mean we're going lingerie shopping."
You nervously nodded. When you got there you just felt like none of them would look good on you. You felt awkward there. If you felt uncomfortable in a crop top for one person how were you supposed to wear this stuff in front of a group of people?
"Have you found anything?" Toni asked, poking her head out of an isle row.
"No. I don't think I'll look good in any of these." You sadly looked at the items.
She walked up to you with a few outfits in hand. "Why not?"
"I don't know. Just never been a big fan of my body I guess. It was only a few years ago when I had to cover up to hide the bruises covering my body."
She put a hand on your shoulder. "But there aren't any more bruises to cover up. Your dad's gone now and your body's thriving. You should be proud of having control over it. Now c'mon, I found a few things for you to try on."
You went into the dressing room, trying on each of them and showing them to Toni. Toni reassured you that you looked good in all of them, but you both agreed that none of them were really perfect for you. "This is stupid." You called through the dressing room.
"No it's not, now come on out. This is the last one anyways."
You stepped outside. Toni looked you over, nodding her head. "I like this one. I like it a lot."
"Really?"
"Yeah. This is the one." She grabbed your hand and spun you around. "Let's see that dance." Toni joked.
You hopped around, overexageratily rubbing your arms. "I'm not used to this much air hitting my body!" You partially joked. "It's so cold in here." She laughed and pushed you back in the dressing room.
You changed back and paid for the outfit. "It's getting late. Hopefully FP and Jughead will be asleep and won't see this."
You both walked back to the trailer park. As you both stopped at Jughead's trailer, Toni then said. "Y/n?"
"Yeah?"
"Pea's gonna love it." You blushed and playfully pushed her. She laughed at the reaction and walked back to her trailer.
You opened the door slowly. The lights were off. As you closed the door the lights clicked on, and you saw the two boys sitting on the couch. "Hey guys."
"Now where have you been?" FP asked.
"With Toni, like I said."
"What's in the bag?" Jughead asked.
"Nothing important." You put the bag next to your duffle bag and laid down on the small air mattress that was set up. "Night."
"Y/n." FP said in a harsh tone. You sat up, knowing he wasn't in the mood for games. "Where were you?"
"With Toni." You urged. "You could even ask her grandfather Thomas."
"That bag doesn't look like English homework to me."
You sighed. "Look, I went over to Toni's, learned some stuff, then we made a quick shopping run. I worked for the money that I spent, if that's what this is about."
"Were you with Sweet Pea?" His asked loudly, ignoring all that you said.
You gave him a really? look. "No."
"See? I told you." Jughead said. He started to get up. "We stayed up for nothing."
"Sit boy." He pulled him back down. "What's in the bag?"
You didn't want to argue or get him mad, so you grabbed the bag. FP tried to snatch it your hands, but you pulled it back, handing it to Jughead. He looked into the bag, before yanking his hand out right away. He got it. "Dad, she was with Toni."
He ripped the bag from his son's hands. "Give it here boy."
He pulled out the lingerie and stood, throwing it to the ground when he realized what it was. "What the hell is that?!"
"Careful, it was pricey!" You exclaimed. Jughead held in a laugh.
"So this is what you're doing now?" You nodded your head, a little confused. He didn't get it. "You used to be smart and open eyed, and now this is what you're doing? Sweet Pea's got you doing this sort of crap?!"
You bursted out laughing. "You think that Swee-!" you cut yourself off laughing more. You sat next to Jughead, putting a hand on his shoulder. You calmed down a bit, pointing to FP and the lingerie. "He thought that I got that for Sweet Pea~!" You started laughing again. Jughead couldn't help but laugh a little bit as well.
"Someone wanna tell me what the hell is so funny?!" FP was getting angrier.
You calmed yourself down. "Thank you for that laugh, it felt really good." You then sat up straight. "No, I did not buy that for Sweet Pea. I bought that for the serpent dance."
He put a hand to his mouth, digesting what you said. "The Serpent dance?"
"Yup."
"So you're gonna become a serpent?"
"Just like mummy." You gave him a cheeky smile.
"Oh." He let out a big sigh. "I just figured, cause it's Sweet Pea, you know?"
"No, I really don't." You turned to Jughead. "Why does everyone see Sweet Pea as some dark, controlling person with a knife kink or something?"
"I honestly don't know." He responded. "I don't see it either."
You nodded. "You think he'd like the outfit though?"
FP cut the conversation short. "Bed, now." You and Jughead lightly laughed as you all then went to sleep.
The next morning you woke up a lot earlier than the other two. Whenever you slept in a place you weren't used to sleeping in, you always woke up very early. You decided to make the most out of the time you had, and went to your duffle bag.
Jughead woke up the best way he could. He smelled bacon. He walked into the kitchen, groggy and tired, to see you practically shining. "Morning." You smiled at him. "I made pancakes, bacon, and sour bread french toast. What would you like?"
"The works." He sat, a plate of stacked food put in front of him. You knew him too well. He dug in as FP came out of the bathroom and sat down as well, a plate being put in front of him.
He turned off the stove and plugged in a small fan to not make the whole trailer hot. "Where'd you learn to make all this?" FP asked.
"Practice at my house. When it's just you, you don't have to feel bad for screwing up someone else's meal. I got better overtime."
After breakfast you washed the dishes as Jughead combed his hair. "So, you ready for our double date?"
You made a face. "Ugh, that's today. Why was Betty so excited for it?"
"I don't know. She's been talking about getting to know Sweet Pea because one of our best friends is dating him. She said it'll be good for the Southside to stop hating the Northside so much by southsiders getting to know her."
Oh Betty. Such a sweet heart of gold.
When you got to school Kevin immediately came up to you, linking arms. "Oh my God, we have so much to talk about."
"So you heard?"
"From Veronica, who heard from Betty, who heard from Jughead. I knew that wrinkly, sack of bones aunt was evil. Okay, no offense, but her inside kind of shows on her outside."
You laughed. "None taken. I agree, when I look at her I see my mom if she was buried in pet sematary and came back."
He laughed as well. "As much as I love talking about the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch of the South, I wanted to ask you something."
"Go ahead."
"As you know, I'm directing the musical for this year, which I have selected to be Carrie: the Musical."
You nodded. "And a good choice too. I think we all know who's going to be lead."
"Pretty much, but there is another role that I think will be perfect for a certain person."
"Which is?"
"I want you to play the role of Chris Hargensen!" He smiled brightly as you, anxious. You loved musicals, but you weren't much for performing in front of others. However, seeing the smile on Kevin's face caused you to give in. You would do anything for Kevin. He was your best friend.
"Sure." You smiled back.
He excitedly hugged you. "Oh my God, this is perfect. It's a good thing you said yes, because I already wrote down the cast list and was on my way to post it on the bulletin board."
"Gee thanks."
"It's fine, Veronica was going to be my backup in case you said no." Kevin took out the paper from his satchel and posted it, people shoving past the two of you to see the list. "First meeting starts tomorrow after school."
The bell rang. "Alrighty then. I'll see you later."
The day went by a little too quickly for your likely. School ended, and Betty told you to meet them at Pop's at 4. You walked out of the PE locker rooms, which happens to be your sixth period, to see Sweet Pea waiting for you. "How are you so quick?"
"I'm just that good sweetheart." He smirked.
You laughed and lightly nudged his shoulder. "No need to brag. I was close behind you." He only responded with an unsure sounding Mm. You fake pout.
"Put the pout away." He hugged you from behind as the both of you walked to his motorcycle. "I'm here." You snapped your head and looked at him with a wild smile. He didn't know whether to be confused or nervous.
"That was the most adorable thing I have every heard! I fell for a teddy bear."
He felt offended. "I'm not a teddy bear, I'm a serpent. Nobody adorable would have a neck tattoo."
You giggled. "So cute."
You made it to his bike, and he grumpily let go of you to hop on, but you grabbed his hand to stop him. He sighed and leaned on the bike. You leaned onto him, his hands unconsciously finding your waist.
"I know you're not just a cuddly teddy bear. You're tall and dark and brooding and a mystery that people can't seem to solve. You're a badass who has a neck tattoo. You're a serpent. I know all that, but I also know that you can be a softie sometimes, and there's nothing wrong with that."
He then gently said, "I'm only soft for you."
You were about to kiss before you heard laughing. You pulled back and saw Fangs standing right next to the two of you. "I'm only soft for you? Yeah, that's something any chick would want to hear." You both stared at him, Sweet Pea fuming. "Oh, right, I'm not here."
Sweet Pea then quickly got up and chased Fangs through the parking lot as you patiently waited for your boyfriend while leaning on his bike. When he came back breathing hard with ruffled hair you smiled. "You good now?"
He walked straight up to you and pulled you in for a deep kiss. You were surprised, but quickly reciprocated. When he pulled back you were gasping for breath.
"All good. Let's go to that damn double date." You were still in a daze and extremely flustered, so all you did was nod and grab onto him as the two of you sped off.

Requested Yes!  “It’s cold, you should take my jacket.” How about #81 with the sweetest of all peas boo💕 - Thanks so much for the request boo @theflameofdeath Sorry it’s taken so long to get out.
Summary - Fangs gets kicked out of the Serpents how does his little sister react to the betrayal of her best friend Toni and her boyfriends loose lips.
Sweet Pea x Fogarty!Reader (Brought back Lil Fogarty for this one! Y’all can read Bulldog Heartbreak and Riot night if you’d like but this can be read on its own)
Warnings: ANGST ANGST ANGST
Tumblr media
You shivered as you stood next to Sweet Pea in tent city around all serpents. Your brother  sitting on a stump behind Jughead his head hanging, as Jughead called Cheryl and Toni to come up to him.
Sweet Peas snaked his arm around you pulling you close. “It’s cold, you should take my jacket baby.”
You shook your head no as you intently watched Jughead. “Cheryl that’s not the point, you broke the code.” Jughead paused as you turned looking at Cheryl and Toni their hands intertwined. “Turn in your jackets and go”
Your mouth dropped as you watched the anger and hurt etch across Toni’s face. “Are you serious Jones? I’m a serpent by blood.” You noticed the small quiver of Toni’s bottom lip. “You can’t take that away from me.”
You looked to Sweet Pea his head hanging as his fingers dug into your side. You knew he was going to be hurt by this. Toni was his best friend. Hell she was yours. Jughead couldn’t be serious.
You closed your eyes not wanting to see what was playing out in front of you. Hearing Cheryl’s next words causing them to snap open and lock with Toni’s the hurt and betrayal clearly displayed.
“You hypocrite, you give your drug dealing buddy Fangs a pass but you crucify us.”
You looked to your older brother, his head hung as his hand covered his eyes slightly moving across his face. He had told you that he was taking care of mom but wouldn’t let you know how and wouldn’t let you help. You leaned more into Sweet Pea as he held you. Not wanting to know or witness the outcome to this. How the hell did Cheryl know anything like that?
Tumblr media
“And in case you wondering Fangs told Sweet Pea who told me.” Toni answering the question running through your mind “Who then told me” Cheryl finished for her.
You moved away from Sweet Pea. How could he keep this from you, but how could he also tell Toni? Why would he risk anything like that? Sweet Pea stepped towards you but you shook your head halting his movements. Another shiver running through you, the anger you felt towards your boyfriend and best friend rising to the surface. You felt the heaviness of a jacket being placed on your shoulders. He knew you were pissed but also knew you were freezing. The thoughts running rampant through your mind and the warmth encircling you causing you to not care that it was his jacket right now.
Fangs looked up as Jughead turned looking at him before looking back to Cheryl. The words that spewed from her mouth next, making you want to step to the fiery redhead.
“If you are asking for our jackets…shouldn’t you be asking for his as well?”
“Cheryl I swear if you cause my brother to lose his family…” Your fists clenched as you narrowed your eyes at both her and Toni.
“Y/N/N, don’t.” Fangs’s voice cracked as he looked to you. You looked back trying to plead with him to let you help him for once. The rest of the serpents quiet as Jughead stood still not uttering a word. You looked to FP for help but nothing, you just watched his shoulders drop.
“Jug…” Betty whispered.
“You’re right” Jughead motioned for the jacket from Fangs before the words were spoken. “Fangs give me your jacket”
Your stomach dropped as tears welled in your Y/E/C eyes.
“Hey what the hell man!” Sweet Pea grabbed Jughead as Jughead fisted the front of Sweet Peas shirt. They stood staring at each other. “Jug…please don’t do this.” Your voice cracked as the tears leaked from your eyes.
Fangs jumped up from the tree stump he had been sitting on. “It’s okay Sweet Pea.”
Sweet Pea pushed Jug away from him as Jughead turned towards your brother. His face contorted in pain, before he gave a grimace as he took his jacket off holding it in one hand as he stared Jughead down. Fangs threw his jacket to the ground, causing a small gasp to escape from you. “Some leader you are.” You watched him turn around and walk away.
Tumblr media
“Fangs” Sweet Pea called out pushing Jughead out of the way only to be stopped by FP.
You turned back towards Cheryl. “Fuck you Cheryl, you have no idea, you have never had any idea on how to treat this family. This family that took you in and gave you a home when your family turned on each other and killed your brother. I wish it would have been you.”
“Y/N….” Toni began.
“Don’t. I don’t ever want to see you again Antoniette.” You spat out before taking off after your older brother. Not caring about what anyone else had to say.
“FANGS!” You yelled as you ran to catch up to him. “Fangs please, please stop.”
Fangs stopped letting you catch up to him. He turned, the tear tracks staining his cheeks. “I’m, I’m so sorry Y/N/N, I didn’t know what to do I just I couldn’t let mom get worse, Jug found out he gave me a second chance, or so I thought, and I stopped I swear. I swear I stopped.”
You threw your arms around his neck as you held him, Sweet Peas jacket falling to the dirt. “It’s going to be alright. I promise. We will figure this out.” Fangs grip tightened on you as he let the emotions pour out of him.
“Fangs! Y/N!” You went tense.
“Don’t blame him. He trusted Toni.” Fangs mumbled as he composed himself. Fangs let go as you turned looking at Sweet Pea. You bent down slowly picking up his jacket as you held it out for him. Your anger returning as you watched Jughead and FP come up behind Sweet Pea. You moved quickly avoiding both the arms of your brother and your boyfriend. Shoving Jughead with as much force as you could muster.
Tumblr media
“HOW DARE YOU! YOU TOLD HIM THAT HE WOULD BE FINE. YOU GAVE HIM ANOTHER CHANCE! OUR MOM IS DYING! DO YOU NOT CARE?! FUCK YOU JUGHEAD!”  You screamed at him as you punched his chest over and over.
“Y/N!” Jughead tried to get you to stop so he could reason with you. FP finally moving around as he grabbed you as he pulled you away from his son, turning you into his chest. You gripped his jacket as you sobbed. FP had always been in your life, you weren’t a full serpent yet but you were always around. An honorary serpent so to speak. You were never at the meetings this one being a surprise and you couldn’t escape it, no one seemed to mind and Cheryl nor Toni could spout different bullshit at you trying to twist everything.
Jughead looked to Fangs. “Fangs… my dad and I were talking, we want to give you another shot at redemption.”
Fangs looked from your trembling form in FPs arms, to Sweet Pea who gave him a small nod. “What are you thinking?”
“We want you to go undercover, join the Gargoyle gang.” Fangs nodded. “We need a man on the inside of Hiram Lodges drug operation so we can take him down…  you in?”
You pushed out of FPs arms. “Fangs… that’s dangerous. You can’t.”
Fangs looked to Sweet Pea who stepped closer to you, pulling you into him.
“It’d be an honor.” Fangs replied.
Tumblr media
You couldn’t believe what your brother was getting into now. You walked off, Sweet Pea close behind you. “Y/N/N!” you kept walking. “Little Fogarty!…  Y/N Y/M/N Fogarty!”
You stopped in your tracks, letting Sweet Pea catch up to you. “Y/N, he’s going to be fine, this is the only way back into the Serpent’s, the only way we can help your mom, your family. We will be there I promise I won’t let anything happen to him.”
“Funny…  that is what you said when you went to go get him from jail. Look what happened there.” You seethed out.
Sweet Pea flinched at your words. “I’m, I’m sorry Y/N I shouldn’t have told Toni I know, how was I supposed to know she would turn on us and side with Cheryl but you know I can’t take it back. I would give anything to take it back.”
You released a shuddered breath as the tears welled back in your eyes. “I can’t lose him again Pea. I can’t, I’m sorry it wasn’t your fault he got shot, it’s not your fault he’s in this mess. I’m sorry.” You sobbed out as you turned running into Sweet Peas arms as his arms wrapped around you holding you tightly. You shivered in his arms the cold nipping at your skin once again. Sweet Pea removed his arms momentarily as he covered you with his jacket once more.
“Isn’t this the most important thing you have in your life? Why would you give it to me?” You questioned still tucked into his chest. Sweet Pea placed a small kiss to the top of your head.
“Baby…you are the most important thing in my life so just take the damn jacket when you get cold.” He smirked, letting out a small chuckle.
“Just don’t let anything happen to him please…” you mumbled into his chest.
Sweet Pea tightened his grip on you. “I promise princess, I won’t let anything happen to him.”

The Southsider (pt. 8)
Sweet Pea x reader
Chapter Summary: Y/n has to stall by talking with one Penny Peabody. But her problems don't stop there. She still has to deal with her aunt.
Word Count: 2239
Chapter 1 • Chapter 7
Tumblr media
You stepped inside, not ready for whatever was waiting was waiting for you. You knew this was dangerous, and Sweet Pea warned you, but you had to do something. Your aunt could be being tortured for all you knew. The last time you hid while waiting for others, your mom's life ended.
"Aunt y/a/n, I'm home." You called out.
"I'm in here." You flinched at her voice. You walked to the living room, where your aunt was sitting on the couch, terrified as Penny Peabody sat across from her. Six other ghoulies were crammed in the living room as well.
"Took you long enough." Penny said. "Take a seat."
You sat next to your aunt, who was glaring at you. "So," you said, trying to not sound terrified. "What brings you here?" You made yourself comfy. If you looked scared, then they would use that fear.
Her and the ghoulies laughed. "Oh, you know, just in the neighborhood." She was playing with her knife. "It's a good thing you came when you did, I was getting a little bored with your auntie here. Thought about messing with her a bit."
"Hm." You leaned forward. "So what's the real reason your here?"
"Well you're a bold one, aren't you? It must not be a family trait, because auntie here told me everything I wanted to know about you."
You playfully shrugged. "Well, it seems like everybody knows about my past these days, so you're not really that special. Sorry to be the one to break the news. But, you still haven't answered my question."
Malachi gave a crazy smile. "I like this one."
"So do I." Penny said. "I'm here because I know how close you are with FP Jones and his greasy son. I kept thinking about all these ways I could get back at him, but then I saw you and Sweet Pea together, and decided to check out what was so special about you."
"Did you like what you found?"
She breathed out a laugh. "Very much so. Auntie helped fill in the blanks." That made you more nervous than anything. But the more you talked, the more you stalled. You could do it.
"So, what I plan on doing is hurting you, very badly. I might let you live, I haven't decided yet. But now that I think about it, you'd be perfect for the ghoulies. And nothing will hurt the King and prince more than their adopted princess you turning your back on them."
Your breathe hitched. How could you keep stalling? You prayed Sweet Pea would be here soon. You looked at your aunt, and she nodded for you to agree. "No." You quietly said to your aunt.
"What do you mean no? You have to." She glared daggers into you.
She hated you, and you knew it. She would always request business trips for her job to avoid you. When she was home, though, she would take jabs at you and make you feel worse about yourself. Sometimes she would raise her hand, knowing that you'll flinch.
You didn't like her either. You knew why she hated you, and you hated yourself too. But she was your family, your mother's sister. She should love you.
You saw the others watching, amused. This should be stall them enough for Sweet Pea to come. "I am not turning my back on FP. He is always there for me, and the same goes for Jughead.
"I'm your family, I come first."
"Yeah, and so was my dad." She put her hand up, and you flinched out of habit. You then grabbed her wrist, fed up.
"If you're going to hit me, hit me. If not, then don't try to scare me like my dad did to mom and I." She ripped her wrist away, dead silent. You felt too angry and scared right now, the words just came out of your mouth without a thought. "FP and Jughead are more family than you have ever been, and pretty soon I'll have a new family. With the Serpents."
Y/a/n's anger increased at the thought of you being a serpent. Her sister was a serpent, and look where she ended up. And now you were dumb enough to be talking so highly of them. "You really think they'd actually care about you?"
Just then Jughead kicked open the door, and in came around twenty Serpents. You smiled at her. "You tell me."
"Damn it!" Malachi yelled, going up to you and gripping your jaw with one hand. "You just made a mistake, little girl. You could have been my new plaything." He said through gritted teeth.
"Hey!" FP yanked him away from you and pinned him against a wall. "Careful now, boy."
Penny looked at you. "So you're more than just a pretty face after all. We'll back off, but we'll be back. Count on it." And with that her and the five others left.
Sweet Pea ran up to you and gave you a huge hug, sweeping you off your feet as you stood and spun. He then inspected you. "Are you okay? Did they hurt you?"
You shook your head. "I'm fine. Promise." You put your hands on his cheeks, and he pulls you in for another hug. When you pull back you see Jughead staring at you before going up to you and pulling you in for a big hug. Then Toni gets into the hug, followed by Fangs and Sweet Pea.
"What the hell are you doing?" Your aunt got up. "Get away from them."
Everybody pulled away from the hug. "They saved our lives!" You argued.
"Knowing them is what got us into this mess! I'm your aunt, and family comes before anything else."
You hated the lies that spilled out of her mouth. "Oh really? So where were you when mom was being beat to death?" She responded with a hard slap to your cheek. Everyone watching was shocked.
FP reacted fast, pulling you away from her. "Easy there y/a/n."
"You know what? Fine. If you all just love her so much, why don't you take her? I'll be away in four days anyways. When I'm gone, I don't give a crap what you do, but while I'm back in this damn town, you won't be living here. If I were you I'd pack a few days worth of clothes."
FP squeezed your shoulder from behind you. You turned your head around and saw him nod towards your room. You nodded back, heading to your room to pack some clothes.
Sweet Pea watched you walk to your room, dead silent. He slowly followed you, but stopped when saw Jughead doing the same thing. The two boys looked at each other, before Sweet Pea said, "She needs all the support she could get."
When they opened the door they saw you putting clothes into a duffle bag while your eyes were glassy and threatening to spill. "Babe." Sweet Pea gently said.
You looked at the two of them and rubbed your eyes, hating to have them watch you cry. "Hey guys." You said in a shaky voice.
"You feeling okay?" Jughead asked.
"Yup, never better." You voice cracked.
You were holding a shirt and was about to stuff it in the duffle bag when Sweet Pea put his hand gently on your wrist. "Babe, talk to me."
You looked at his worried expression. He was going through all of this because of you. "God, I'm such a bad person. You don't need this in your life, and neither do you." You looked at Jughead. His expression was unreadable as he stared at you.
Sweet Pea ushered you to your bed for the two of you to sit down, waving for Jughead to take a seat on the other side of you. "No you're not." Sweet Pea said.
You shook your head. "Yes I am. My own aunt hates me. Not that I blame her, sometimes I hate me. She blames me for my mom's death, and I do too. I was too scared to tell somebody about my dad, and that was my fault."
Jughead spoke up. "Not it wasn't. You were a kid, you didn't know any better. You were raised to fear your dad, you couldn't have known."
You looked down at your hands. "But that's not it. The real reason why my aunt hates me is because the only reason why my mom didn't get help was because he threatened to kill me. Me being alive is what got my mom dead."
You took deep breathes. All you did lately was cry, and you didn't want to do it again. "Don't say that! You mean a lot to everyone." Sweet Pea said. You were a little startled at his outburst. "You mean a lot to me."
"And me." Sweet Pea entwined his fingers with yours while Jughead put a hand on your shoulder. Sweet Pea put his head on your shoulder, kissing it.
You smiled and giggled. "Thanks guys. I think I'm gonna start only being my annoying self from now on."
"And there she is." Jughead said with a small, teasing smile.
You quickly pack your things and headed out, with a brother and a boyfriend right beside you. When you guys got there you heard shouting, seeing y/a/n and FP face to face with anger written all over them.
When you entered you purposely made noice while walking. Everybody stopped what they were saying and turned to you. You stepped onto the kitchen tile, making more noice. You then placed your duffle bag on the counter, opening cabinets and putting things in there.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Your aunt asked.
"I am just taking what is mine. You know, since I had to pick up a job to pay for my status of being alive. Maybe I should be your guardian." You said, still putting things in.
"Don't even try to make me look bad, okay? I send you money every month."
"50 dollars a month isn't gonna get me anything except for maybe a week's worth of Pop's. But hey, having a soul isn't for everybody. Bye now!" You presented a big smile and waved.
When you left, everybody, with the exception of your aunt, followed. "So where are you gonna go?" Toni asked.
You shrugged. "You can stay with me." Sweet Pea suggested, smiling at you and taking the duffle bag off your shoulder.
"No." Jughead and FP said in unison.
FP then grabbed the bag from Sweet Pea. "She'll be staying with us."
"I'll see you tomorrow then." You said. "We have an interesting double date to go to?"
"Yeah, nothing funner that going on a double date with basically your brother." He quietly said, unconsiously putting a hand on your waist. You giggled.
"Y/n! Let's go."
"Oh, Sweets is taking me home." You smiled.
He looked from a cheerful you to a nervous Sweet Pea. "Okay then."
As he and his son rode off, you and Sweet Pea got on his bike. You looked at Toni to confirm if your plans later were still on. She nodded.
When you got to the trailer you were staying at, you and Sweet Pea said your goodbyes. You both inched forward, about to kiss when you heard FP open the door, starling you. "C'mon, get in. It's getting cold." You gave Sweet Pea a knowing look and went inside.
Right when you stepped inside you went for your duffle bag, grabbing some materials to make food and got to cooking. "What are you doing?" Jughead asked.
"Making lasagna." He nodded in response. He would never argue over free food.
"You don't have to do that, we could go to Pop's." FP suggested.
"It's okay. I want to say thank you for letting me stay here. Jug seems happy about it. Either way at least we'll actually be using your kitchen for once."
After a while you finished cooking and ate. "This is amazing." FP said while wiping his face with a napkin. "I don't know when was the last time I had a home cooked meal."
You felt proud of yourself. Jughead slid his plate to you. "More please."
You stared at the plate. "Are you serious?"
"What can I say, I'm hungry." He knew exactly what you meant. You huffed and grabbed the plate, serving him another piece.
You finished and washed your plate. "So, I promised Toni that I'd help her with her homework tonight. I was wondering if I could go."
FP didn't really give much thought into this. She lived in the same trailer park. "Sure. Don't be back too late."
"Okay." And with that you left.
"I want you to keep an eye on Sweet Pea for me." FP was still staring at the door. "Find out if he's trying to do any funny business."
"Really, dad? Sweet Pea really likes her, he wouldn't do anything to hurt her." Jughead said as he ate his food.
"I don't know, just make sure nothing bad is going on."
"Dad, you didn't see him comfort her today. He's good for her."
As a protective father and a argumentative brother disagreed over some issues, you knocked at Toni's trailer. She opened it. "Glad you came." She said. "You sure you want to do this?"
"Yes." You said, happy and excited over your decision. "I want you to teach me the serpent dance."

The Southsider (pt. 7)
Sweet Pea x reader
Chapter Summary: It seems like a normal day to y/n, until she sees an unfamiliar car in the parking lot. But she decides to play it smart and make a call.
Word Count: 2007
Chapter 1 • Chapter 6 • Chapter 8
Tumblr media
You put Sweet Pea's flannel in your backpack and headed to school. You slipped on your jacket and got to school with a pep in your step. You thought that everything was fine, put you saw one Reggie Mantle walking the halls.
Veronica and Betty came up to you. "Do my eyes deceive me? Why is he here?" Veronica asks.
"I was hoping you guys would tell me." You frown.
"Let's go before he sees you." Betty says, to which you respond by nodding. Unfortunately he sees the three of you leaving and decided to follow.
Veronica sent a text to Archie. Before he could get straight to you, Archie steps in his way at the last minute. You let out a smile. "Easy Reggie. I don't think she wants to see you."
"I know, I came to apologise." He looked at you, as if he wanted you to help him, but you just stood there. You didn't care what he had to say, what he did was unforgivable. He brought up the worst times in your life, just to seem superior.
He tried getting closer to you, but Archie pushed him off. "Look, I realized that what I did was pretty douchey. I was too focused on the Southside, but you've been in the Northside for so long that you're basically one of us." He gave you a nervous smile. "I'm sorry."
You said nothing. You're basically one of us? You felt madder than you've ever felt within this week. After the exposing, the letter, the bullying, this pissed you off the most. He wasn't sorry for what he put you through. He was sorry because he now thought of you as a Northside.
Sweet Pea spotted you in the hallway, instantly smiling. But that smile faded when he saw Archie pushing away Reggie while Betty and Veronica were beside you. As he got closer to protect you, he saw you walk straight up to Reggie and gripped his collar, punching him in the face.
He fell to the ground. Sweet Pea stopped in his tracks, definitely not expecting that. He then saw Archie putting his hands on your shoulders, which snapped him back to reality. As he kept walking he heard Archie say "I could say that I was the one who did it."
"No, it's fine. I'll deal with Principal Weatherbee when he gets me."
Sweet Pea then reached you. "Are you okay?" He put his hand on your arm.
"Yeah I'm fine." You smiled at him.
"Hate to break up this convo," Veronica said, smiling. "But we will be stealing your girlfriend. Bye now." And with that Veronica and Betty led you to the school library, where you all sat down and you told them about your date.
"You're kidding right?" Veronica asked.
You shook your head, feeling the blush grow on your face. "That's so romantic." Betty fawned.
"Who knew such a dark, brooding person could have a soft side to him."
"Just because he's not the boy next door doesn't mean that he isn't a sweet person, V." You said.
"She's right." Betty said. "Jughead is a lot more sentimental when it's just us two."
"See?" You teased.
"Hey, don't hate on Archiekins just because he's not afraid to be affectionate in front of others." Veronica sat back in her seat.
"So what if they have some pride? It just makes it all the more cuter when they show some bashfulness." You enjoyed being able to talk about stuff like this with them.
Meanwhile, Sweet Pea and Archie stared at one Reggie Mantle on the ground. "Get up." Sweet Pea said.
He got up. "Are you going to tell Principal Weatherbee?" Archie asked.
"Nah, it's cool. Once she realizes where she belongs it'll be fine." Reggie smirked. He decided that he was going about this the wrong way. He tried to humiliate you, but others had your back. But if you were turn your back on the Southside, that'll really hurt them.
Sweet Pea was about to punch Reggie himself, but Archie put a hand on his shoulder, shaking his head. The bell then rang, and everybody went back to class.
Toni and Cheryl, who seemed to be getting closer, were begging to have you tell them about the date. You decided to play with them, denying their requests. It wasn't like you cared for Betty and Veronica more, but you knew that they would make fun of Sweet Pea.
You only dropped little teasers to what happened, until you finally said "You should ask Fangs. He was there, even if he wasn't." They looked at you, confused. You just giggled. Oh Fangs.
When lunch arrived, you took the flannel and looked for Sweet Pea, finding him on his way to his table. "Sorry, I forgot to give this back to you."
He smiled and took it. "It looked better on you anyway."
"I kind of doubt that. I kind of find the flannels on you pretty hot." You reached up and was about to kiss him, but was interrupted.
"Oh, there you guys are!" Betty said, dragging Jughead along with her. Sweet Pea backed away from your touch, causing you to huff. He heard the huff, and held back a smile. He had that affect on you then. "So I had the most amazing idea in class. I thought that we could all go on a double date." She smiled as Jughead looked at her, surprised.
You didn't know how you thought about this idea. Jughead was like a brother to you, and going on a double date with him in it was a bit weird.
"I don't think that's such a good idea, Bets." Jughead said.
"Yeah, I agree with Jones."
"Come on guys, it'll be fun. Right, y/i?"
You looked at Sweet Pea, who shook his head. You then turned back to an eager Betty. "Uh, sorry B, but I have work later on today."
"Do you have work tomorrow?"
"Well, no but-"
"Then it's settled. The four of us will go on a double date tomorrow at Pop's. I can't wait." And with that they left.
You gave Sweet Pea an apologetic smile. "This isn't a good idea."
"I'm sorry. Let's just make the most out of it, yeah? I honestly didn't think it was a good idea either." He huffed and nodded his head. You kissed his jaw, then the side of his mouth. "Thank you."
He looked down at you and smiled before giving you a quick hug and walking away.
When school ended you headed to Pop's, greeting FP with a smile. "Well, what's got you so chirpy?" He smiled at you, glad that you were doing better.
You shrugged, thinking of Sweet Pea. "Oh, y'know, I'm just happy with my life right now."
"Well I'm glad that you're doing better now."
"Yup. Sweets has been helping me out the whole time." This got his attention.
"Sweets, huh? You've been spending a hell lot of time with him."
"Well yeah." You grabbed some ordered food. "I'd hope I'm allowed to spend some time with my boyfriend." He looked at you, shocked as you quickly sped walked away from him to deliver the food.
As you came back he stopped you from grabbing other plates. "What the hell you just say?" He quietly asked.
"FP it's not a big deal."
"Not a-"
"Let's not overreact, okay?" You put a hand on his shoulder. "He has been there for me every step of the way. He has done nothing but helped me when I needed it. Give him a break."
You took the food and served some people. He huffed. "Fine, but I'm having a little talk with that boy."
"Believe me, there are some worse guys I know out there."
His fatherly instincts seemed to still be intact. "Like who?"
Just then Reggie walked in, smirking when he saw you. "Like him."
He sat down to where the counter was, looking at you expectantly. You gave FP a look, and he nodded. You went to the back to help Pop make some milkshakes while FP went up to him. "What can I get you?"
"Is y/n here?"
"She's busy, I'll be serving you." He narrowed his eyes at him.
"Shame. She's pretty hot in the uniform, don't you think?" Reggie knew what he was doing. He knew he was talking to the serpent king. He wanted to test him, test if the Southside king could keep it together.
"I think she likes to be treated respectfully. Now what would you like to drink?" FP was trying his best not to punch this kid in the face.
"Chocolate milkshake. Extra cherries. Have y/n bring it out if you can." He nodded and headed to the back.
He went up to you and watched you make a chocolate milkshake. "I heard everything." You said, not looking up from your work.
"I am so close to spitting in this boy's drink."
You smiled. "Why don't we just act like we did?" You finished the milkshake, adding three cherries on top and handing it to FP.
He gave it to Reggie. "Here you go kiddo. I added a little something to it, just for you." He gave him a smile, leaving Reggie to look at his drink suspiciously. You passed by with two other milkshakes in your hand and gave him a smirk, causing him to be even more suspicious.
As you were heading back to behind the counter, Reggie grabbed your arm. "Excuse me," He said. "I'd like to order something."
FP then grabbed your other arm and pulled you away. "And what would you like to order?" FP asked.
He ordered, smirking at you everytime you passed by. Soon Jughead came around the time you were going on your break, so you went and sat with him as you took your break. Then Sweet Pea came to say hi to you. When you ended your break, Sweet Pea was about to leave before FP slid next to him in the booth. "Not so fast, boy. I'm on my break, and we need to have a little talk."
Sweet Pea squirmed in his seat. "I heard you and y/n are dating now." Jughead tried hiding his smile and obnoxiously slurped on his milkshake. "If I so much as hear or see anything that I don't like you doing towards her, you're a dead man."
He nodded. "Understood."
"But right now, we've got a more pressing issue. You see that boy?" He pointed to Reggie, Sweet Pea nodded. "He's been coming onto y/n the whole time."
"And the hierarchy of high school jocks strike again." Jughead said.
"Damn Northsiders! Always trying to take things that don't belong to them!" Sweet Pea tried to get out of the booth to confront the Bulldog, but FP pushed him back.
"Easy boy, you don't want to make a scene. Just keep an eye on him when you guys are at school. You too, Jug. We need to take care of her." The boys agreed.
Sweet Pea then decided to take off. He said goodbye to you while giving you a side hug and a kiss on the cheek. This angered Reggie, which led to him leaving Pop's.
Soon your shift ended and you walked home. When you got to your house, you saw two cars parked in the driveway. One of them you recognized as your aunt's. The other you didn't know. You scoped out the car, seeing a ghoulies jacket on one of the seats through the window. You then called Sweet Pea.
You let out a breath you didn't know you were holding when he picked up the phone.
"Pea, we've got a problem. The ghoulies are at my house, and for some reason out of any possible time my aunt's home too."
...
"No, I'm standing outside."
...
"Okay, I'm going inside."
...
"I have to, they could be hurting her!"
...
"I'm just going to stall until you guys get here."
...
"I will. Bye."
You then hung up the phone. You took a deep inhale and exhale, and opened the door.

Better - Sweet Pea x Reader
“Are you still awake?” Came a soft voice from your left. The voice woke you from a light sleep, and you rolled over.
“Hmm?” You said sleepily, running your hand through Sweet Pea’s soft hair.
“Can I.... can I talk to you?”
The fact that Sweet Pea was asking that woke you up, and you pushed myself into a sitting position, brushing hair from your eyes.
“What’s wrong?” You asked, leaning against him, seeing his worried eyes.
He didn’t reply. And that got you really worried. Sweet Pea was never like this.
“Talk to me.” You say softly, linking your hands together.
He inhales. “Everyone.... everyone keeps saying I’m not good enough for you.” He blurted, and you blinked slightly.
“What? Who’s been saying that?” You said, angrily, and confused.
“People at school. Serpents.”
“Why would they think that!”
“I’m not good enough for you, Y/N!” He exclaimed, and you could see that this had been on his mind for a while now.
“Sweets...” you pause. “How could you think that? I don’t know where I would be without you.... I don’t wanna think about what I’d be without you-“
“You wouldn’t be in the Serpents, I know that much.” He said softly, referring to you joining the gang, after you had been dating for a while.
“Sweets...”
“If I hadn’t hadn’t influenced you, you wouldn’t be caught up in all of this shit going on in the Serpents! With the Snake Charmer!” He exclaimed, clenching his hands into fists, trying to contain his anger. Which wasn’t directed to you, or even your relationship, you knew. He was feeling guilty- because he believed that you were caught up with all of this because of you.
“Look at me- just breathe, okay?” You say, quietly, unclenching his fists and holding his own, dramatically larger, hands.
“Listen to me, Sweet Pea. I wouldn’t have got through my first years of Southside High without the Serpents. I would have ended up with the Ghoulies if not for you- and that would be much, much worse. Joining the Serpents was my choice, and I’m god damn glad I did. I met my family - Toni, Fangs. I already knew you, but because of you, I met them. I’ve never been happier than when I’ve been with you, Sweet Pea. I love you. Been in love with you my entire life, ever since I met you at least. You’re the best part of me - and that’s true, whether you believe it or not.”
You said, meaning every word you said.
“You truly mean it?” He said, hoarsely.
“Yes. Every syllable.”
“You deserve better.”
“No. I couldn’t do better.” You say, a slight tease in your vice, and you kissed him gently.
“I love you, Y/N.” He mumbled, wrapping his arms around you.
“Love you too, Sweets.”

The Southsider (pt. 6)
Sweet Pea x reader
Chapter Summary: Y/n forgets about her past for one night and goes on her first date with Sweet Pea.
Word Count: 2124
Chapter 1 • Chapter 5
Tumblr media
“Wow.” Sweet Pea breathed out, staring at you. You giggled, feeling your cheeks heat up at the intensity of his gaze. “You look amazing.”
He handed you a small bag of kiss candies. “Roses were, uh, too obvious.” He felt stupid now that he handed you the bag. Maybe he should have gone with a rose. He put his hand on the back of his neck, trying to calm himself.
“This is so cute.” You laughed. You looked up at him, happy as can be. “Thank you.”
You put it on the counter, coming back. “Wait.” He said. “Where’s your camera?”
“My room?”
“Get it.” He said. “We’re gonna make some memories.”
You quickly went to your room and grabbed the small camera, coming back and showing it to him. He hooked your arm in his, generating an amused laugh from you. He really went all out in your opinion already, and the date hadn’t even started.
You both drove off to a shed in the Southside. It was small and run down, but that didn’t matter to you. This meant that he put thought into this, and he was trying to do something different.
He took your hand in his and led you inside. There were things stored on the shelves, but the center was empty, except for a worn out couch and a projector behind it. And Fangs was also there pouring popcorn into a bowl.
“Hi Fangs.” You smile.
“Sh. I’m not here.” He hands you the bowl. “You look hot.” Sweet Pea gave him a look, and he gave a shit eating smile in return.
“Thanks. You want some?” You offer. He hesitates, then takes a handful and makes his way to the door. “Bye Fangs.”
“I’m still not here!” He calls out, closing the door.
Sweet Pea glared at the door. He then looked at you sheepishly. “Sorry, this is Fangs’ shed. He’s letting me borrow it for tonight. He was supposed to already be gone by the time we came.”
“So what are we doing in Fangs’ shed?” You ask, giving him a teasing smile.
“We are going to watch some movies.” He puts his hands on your waist and leads you to the couch, sitting you down on the left side. He then turns the projector on, the light hitting the blank wall. “I hope you like classic horrors.”
“Love ‘em.” You say as he sits down. You then snuggle up next to him, munching on the popcorn. Sweet Pea loved down at your tiny form, putting his left arm to the back of the couch, slouching a bit to have you snuggle into him further.
You absent mindedly put your hand on his thigh. Although you were engaged in the movie, Sweet Pea felt like he was going to shit bricks. He was nervous that he’d screw this up somehow.
You were so pretty. How could he show you how he thought? You were wearing black and green, some of his favorite colors. Your bun on the top half of your head looked perfectly squeezable, but he didn’t want to seem weird. You were wearing makeup, something you would probably never do. You wore a crop top, showing your stomach that was coiled as you snuggled into him.
As he admired you he grew even more nervous. You deserve only the best, but how much could he do for you? He lives in a trailer, people view him as some horrible gang member. Your first date is in the inside of an old shed. He just didn’t think he was good enough for you.
“Sweets.” You gently said. He jumped a bit as he was brought out of his thoughts. “What’s wrong?”
“What are you talking about?”
“You keep getting stiff and twitchy.” You sat up, Sweet Pea feeling the spot you left now cold. You set the popcorn bowl aside on the ground. “What’s the matter?”
“Nothing.” He looked back to the movie. You scooted towards him, putting your right hand on his shoulder and your left hand on his cheek.
“Are you sure?”
He sadly looked down. “I just want this to be perfect, but then again it’s me. I’m not really boyfriend material.”
You turned his cheek gently to make him look up at you. “Sweet Pea, you are one of the greatest things that have happened to me recently. Under all that toughness is a big softie that I have the privilege of seeing. I feel like I’m not good enough for you.”
Sweet Pea gripped his hand on the back of the couch where it had been laying as you leaned in for a kiss. The kiss was sweet and passionate, Sweet Pea tilting his head to deepen the kiss. He put his hands on your waist, pulling you to his lap.
The door to the shed swung open, and in came Fangs with food. “Hey guys. I got the food Pea ordered.” You immediately pulled away, generating a sigh of frustration from Sweet Pea. “Oh yeah, I’m not here.”
He handed you both each a to-go box from Pop’s. “I might have eaten some of your fries.” He hit Sweet Pea’s shoulder. “Frankenstein, huh? How is it?”
“He just killed the little girl.” You said, sliding off Sweet Pea’s lap. “Pretty ballsy of 1930’s writers to show a child death on tv.” He nodded his head, staying there. You two kept waiting for him to leave, but instead he only smiled, purposely ticking off Sweet Pea. You then smiled as him. “Bye Fangs.”
“Oh, yeah.” He grabbed Sweet Pea’s drink, taking a sip. “That’s a good milkshake. Bye guys. But remember, I wasn’t here.” And with that he left. Sweet Pea made a mental note to kill him later.
“You ordered food?” You asked, setting the food aside on the couch.
“Yeah. It’s you’re favorite order. I asked Pop.” He said. “Sorry about Fangs. He’s just an idiot.”
You shook your head, smiling at him. “You asked Pop what my favorite food there was?” He nodded, a bit confused as to why you asked. Your smile grew wider. “You’re so perfect.”
You leaped into him, throwing your arms over his shoulders. This took him by surprise, releasing a quick “Woah!” from his lips. You giggled, showering his face with kisses. “Hard to realize there’s a badass inside this adorable person.” He said, staring up in awe about you. You blushed, bashfully getting off of him and handing him his food.
He felt a little proud that he could do that to you when you act like nothing gets to you when your around others. You two kept watching the rest of the movie, enjoying your food and his company.
The film then ended. Your good was finished and Sweet Pea stood. “Let’s go to my trailer. This place is dusty anyway.” He held out his hand and you happily took it, standing as well. As you walked off together he pulled you closer, putting his arm over your shoulder. When you got out you started rubbing your arms, feeling cold. You felt Sweet Pea’s arm leave you, but was soon replaced with a flannel draped over your shoulders. You put it on, giving him a cheeky smile.
“Bye Fangs.” You called out. You heard a bye! in the distance and laughed.
Sweet Pea shook his head as he got on his bike. “Dammit Fangs.” He muttered. You giggled and gave a quick kiss on his neck, hopping on.
You got to the trailer and you both plopped down of the couch. “So,” you said. “What do you want to do?”
He smirked, coming closer to you. His eyes trailed down to your lips. “Truth or Dare?”
You let out a small laugh. “Should I be scared of what you’d ask me?”
Your faces became so close that you two were less than inches apart. “Maybe.”
He leaned in, and you teasingly moved your head so that he missed your lips. “Okay then.” You slyly smiled at him. “Truth or dare?”
He smiled back. This was a side that he found so attractive of you. “Truth.”
“What do you think of me?” You were secretly anxious to hear what he had to say. You just couldn’t help but feel that way. It was an insecurity that you had.
He twirled a piece of your hair with his finger, smiling. “I think your funny and nice. I like how you’re always smiling and getting right back up after something crappy. You could choose to turn to a Northsider because it’s easier and not so filled with bad memories, but you stand up for the Southside anyways. I can’t help but think that you’re so pretty, even when I first saw you. Everything about you is so attractive.”
You smiled wide. You lightly run your fingers over his tattoo on his neck. “Truth or dare?” He looks down at you, happy.
“Dare.” You say, still staring at his tattoo.
“Sit on my lap.”
You then looked up at him, looking at his shit eater smile. You then laughed. “You’re drunk on milkshake dude.” He laughed back. You then crawled onto his lap, draping your arms over his neck. “Your turn. Truth or dare?”
He looked at your lips, then lower. He quickly snapped back to your gaze. “Uh, dare. Dare.”
“I dare you to tell me what you were thinking right now.” You kissed the side of his jaw.
“I was thinking about how hot you looked, and how I really want to kiss you right now.” You then kissed him, pouring all emotion into it. He would never act like this with you in front of others, but you didn’t care. It felt more special that you two would do this behind closed doors, just the two of you.
He pulled back for breathe, putting his forehead to yours. “Truth or Dare?” He said breathlessly.
“Truth.”
“Are you joining the Serpents?”
You ran your hands over his shoulders. “Yes.” He then breathed out a smile, turning you both to the side of the couch. You fell down on the couch on your back, Sweet Pea directly over you.
He started to kiss your neck lovingly. “It’s my turn.” He said against your neck.
“Truth or Dare?” You breathed out.
“Truth.”
“How do I become a serpent?” He took his head back from your neck and looked at you, smiling.
“Well, you have to learn all the laws, but most importantly for you since you’re a girl, you have to do the Serpent Dance.”
You scooted up a little. “What’s the Serpent Dance?”
He sat back to where he was, as did you. He then explained what it was, and how it was to show a woman’s shamelessness for her new tribe.
He grabbed you both something to drink, and you both talked. You asked him about the Southside and the Serpents, and he happily answered. He asked about the people and places of the Northside, and you answered, making jokes and laughing together.
After a while he checked the time, letting out a sigh. “It’s almost 11. I should probably take you home.”
You playfully whined, clinging to him. “But I don’t want to go home.” You fake pouted.
His put his thumb on your bottom lip. “I know, but it’s time.” He gave you a quick kiss. “C'mon, let’s go.”
He took you back to your house and walked you to your door. “What, no goodnight kiss?” You asked, giving a sly smile.
He then bent down and kissed your cheek, surprising you. “Goodnight.” He tucked a strand of hair behind your ear and walked off.
“Night.” Your face felt hot as you went inside. When you closed the door you jumped in place a bit, having gone on your very first date.
As Sweet Pea walked off he put up a first of victory in the air. He got on his bike and revved it up, looking back at your house one last time before taking off. Sweet Pea smiled as wind blew in his face, having gone on his very first date.
It was good that you cherished this moment, because the next day would not be a day of happiness for you. Unlike today, your house would not be empty when you arrive. An unwanted guest would be waiting for you to return tomorrow.

Pet Names
Sweet Pea x Reader
Warning: NSFW (a tiny bit)
Based on this post by @100teardrop
Tumblr media
Babe
He usually says this in public
It’s not too personal or embarrassing to say in front of others
He also likes people knowing who you belong to
You know that he likes to say this when he’s being cocky or possessive sometimes
Not that you really mind
You think it’s cute how easily jealous he gets
He loves saying it in front of his friends
They used to make fun of him while he had a crush on you for the longest time
This is his way of telling them to suck it
Also his other pet names are more private
Sweetheart
He says this when it’s just the two of you around
It’s more loving than babe
And he wants to make sure that you feel loved
He’s just so grateful to have you love him
He might act like this big tough guy who wants to show everyone what’s his
But he really is a big softie
When he feels emotional or is going through a rough time he likes to call you sweetheart while he’s in your arms
When you’re feeling down he has you too stay in bed and tells you what he loves about you, calling you sweetheart during this whist you having your head buried in his neck
He says this in the morning when he feels lovey dovey
This is when it’s just the two of you and he feels the warmth of your body next to him
When he calls you sweetheart just after waking up it sounds gruffy
And you love it
Princess
He says this when you two are more intimate
When he’s in the mood, he’ll let you know by calling you princess in a gentle tone
After that his hands are immediately on you
He says this as he praises you
Usually as he kisses your neck
Also during dirty talk while in the act
You just find it so hot when calls you princess in that gruffy voice, meaning that he’s craving you
While giving you after care he either keeps calling you princess or goes back to sweetheart
Sweet Pea
based off of this post by @mcusweetpea
He always thought of calling you Sweet Pea
It seemed cute to him in a way that he couldn’t understand
The thought of calling you Sweet Pea in front of others
And them guessing if he’s talking to you or about himself in the 3rd person
It seemed adorable and funny
But he always thought that no one would see it like that and instead see it as weird
Especially you
But he did say it one day
You two were at his trailer, and it sort of just came out
“Sure thing Sweet Pea” followed by a kiss on the cheek
You immediately reacted, smiling
“Did you just call me Sweet Pea?”
He turned around, staring at you
You bursted into laughter, followed by him doing the same

The Southsider (pt. 4)
Sweet Pea x reader
Chapter Summary: Now that an old secret is out, y/n’s life takes some emotional turns in different ways, but Sweet Pea is there for her every step of the way.
Word Count: 1966
Chapter 1 • Chapter 3
Tumblr media
You stared blankly at the jacket, before trying to give it back to FP. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. My mom wasn’t in the Serpents.”
FP didn’t grab the jacket. “She was, kid. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner.”
“No she wasn’t. She couldn’t have been.” You felt your anger rise.
“Why is that?” Jughead asked. He sounded slightly offended, but you didn’t care at this point.
“Because when we were getting beaten and bruised up, where the hell were the Serpents, hm? I didn’t see them, or anyone, lift a finger for us. Isn’t it one of your laws to protect one of your own? Clearly that can’t be true because, guess what, she’s dead.” You were tearing up, your voice cracking. You hated people watching you cry, but today had been too emotional for you. You couldn’t help it.
“She didn’t tell us anything. She made it seem like nothing was wrong. Whenever we’d ask about you, she just said you were shy. She was always smiling we didn’t think…” FP trailed off, tears in his eyes.
If you weren’t so confused with your feelings, you would be comforting him right now. But you were, and so you didn’t hold back what you wanted to say.
“Four years, FP. You kept this from me for four years. All this time I thought I had no one except you and Jughead, but even then I didn’t want to be a burden. I could have had a family to go to, but you kept this from me. You took away an option that my mom could have wanted for me-”
“You don’t think I know that?!” FP yelled. You flinched, backing up. You backed up into Sweet Pea, tears flowing down your cheeks. Sweet Pea unconsciously grabbed onto you. FP calmed down instantly regretting yelling at you. That’s something your dad must have done a lot. “Kid, I’m sorry-”
You slipped out of Sweet Pea’s arms and opened the trailer, not looking back as you began to walk away. Sweet Pea bolted after you. “Y/n wait!”
You turned around, tears flowing down your face. He grabbed you and held you into a tight embrace. This caused you to just let go. You clung to him, letting all your tears out. He put his nose in your hair, kissing the top of your head.
When you calmed down you looked up at him. He wiped a tear from your eye. “Why are you still here with me?” You said in a hoarse whisper. “You see how broken I am, so why do you stay?”
“You’re not broken. I don’t care what you say about yourself. I like the way you can make me laugh, and the way you’re so nice to everyone, and I like the way you get back up after being hit with something. You see something in me that I can’t even see, and I do the same for you.” He grabbed your chin, pulling you in for a kiss.
You then rest your head on his shoulder. “It’s starting to get dark. You want me to take you home?”
“Sure.” You said quietly.
“Good. I kinda like it when you hold onto me.” He smirked, causing you to smile. You two drove to your house, both seeing the paper that was taped to your door.
You both walked up and saw that someone had written Southside Skank on it. It was coincidentally in Reggie font as well. You sighed. “On second thought, maybe you should stay the night at my place. I like you being here along tonight.”
And with that you packed your toothbrush and a pair of clothes with you, riding back to Sweet Pea’s trailer. When you got there you both sat down on the couch and Sweet Pea started asked you about your likes and dislikes, wanting to get to know you better. Once you answered a question, you asked one right back to find out more about him.
“It’s getting kind of late, we should go to bed.” Sweet Pea suggested.
“Sure.” You looked into your bag, and wanted to slap yourself. “Dammit.”
“What’s up?”
“I forgot to bring something to wear to sleep.”
“Just wear some of my clothes. It’ll be hot.” He smirked. There was a knock at the door.
“I’ll go find something to wear.” You said, after seeing his worried expression. He didn’t want any more drama to happen to you today.
He opened the door. It was Jughead. “Look man-”
“I know she probably doesn’t want to see me. I just want you to give these to her.” He gave him the serpent jacket, the letter, and the camera. “I might have borrowed the camera for a bit.” He said quietly.
He took all the stuff, not knowing what to say. “Could you tell her that I’m sorry, and that, uh, she does have a family?” Sweet Pea nodded in response.
He closed the door. You came out of the bedroom in just a big t-shirt, long enough to be just above your knees. He stared at you in awe. You were so beautiful to him. “Pea.” You said sweetly.
“Yeah?”
“Eyes up here please. This is already embarrassing enough.”
“Sorry.” He gave you a shit eater smile. “You look pretty. Who knew you’d look so cute in my clothes?”
“Ha ha.” You giggled. “Who was at the door?”
“Uh,” he looked at you, unsure on what to say. You smiled and nodded, reassuring him that you’ll be okay. “It was Jughead. He wanted to say that he was sorry and that you have family. He also brought some stuff.”
You nodded and walked over to the table. “He took my camera?” You opened the camera, looking at the pictures in it. They were of you and your friends, including FP and Pop.
“Is it important to you?” He asked, wrapping his arms around behind you.
“Yeah. My mom gave it to me.” You went to the very first picture. It was of a girl with a woman. They were both smiling. “That’s me and her.”
“Am I important to you?” He asked quietly against your neck.
“Mhmm.” You smiled.
He then took the camera. “Then I think I should be in here.” He turned the camera around kissing you on the cheek. You giggled. He then checked to see how the picture turned out. “You look good.”
“You look better.” You gently say. He gave you a peck on the cheek and went to change into his pajamas. He came out in pajama pants and a plain grey t-shirt, carrying a pillow and a blanket. He set the pillow down and laid down. “What are you doing?”
“I’m going to bed?” You didn’t want him to be uncomfortable because of you.
“What? No, c'mon.” You took his hand, pulling him up. You lead him to the bedroom. “Lay down.” He complied, intrigued. You got under the covers, facing the other way. “Good night.”
He stared at you for a moment. “Night.” He mumbled. You were so adorable to him, he couldn’t help but stare at you.
His mind then began to wander to that note. He knew he shouldn’t be nosey, but he couldn’t help himself. After a while he waited until he knew you were asleep, then slipped out of the bed and went to the table in the kitchen. He opened it, reading every word. He smiled, thinking about how this could have a good effect on you. He hoped you took your mom’s advise.
He went back to bed, to see that the covers were kicked off. The shirt was hiked up, and he saw your star wars panties. He held in a laugh. He looked at you, perfect as can be. He gently pulled down the shirt and put the blanket back over you, getting into bed next to you and holding you as you slept. “Don’t worry,” he whispered. “I’m not going anywhere.”
You woke up to Sweet Pea holding you as you were snuggled up near his chest. You smiled, slowly getting out of his arms and off of the bed.
You sat down on one of the chairs at the small table in the kitchen. You took notice in the letter that was meant for you. You grabbed it, taking a breathe before unfolding it.
Dear Y/n,
Now that you’re reading this, I didn’t make it. I am so sorry for letting you live with the burden of your dad. I thought I loved him, but he changed. I should have told somebody what was going on. He threatened me using you if I told anybody, but I could have figured out a way. I’m sorry for that.
I was and will always be a serpent. My tattoo is on my ankle, in case you were wondering. I joined the Serpents when I didn’t have anyone else to go to. They are my tribe. My family. Don’t blame them for my death, they didn’t know. I hope you accept this jacket and join the family that I loved as much as I loved you.
I will send this letter to FP, my best friend. I don’t think I have much time anyway, your dad is drinking more often. FP will give this to you when he thinks your ready to join.
You have a very important choice to make y/n. Think it over, because it could be a best one you’ll ever make.
Love, mommy
You folded the paper back and sighed. You weren’t going to cry over this, you were done crying. The Serpents. They seemed important to her, and every Serpent you knew were full of trust and loyalty. The Serpents. Maybe you should join.
“Hey, what’re you doing?” Sweet Pea asked, his voice thick from barely waking up. His hair was in a cute mess as he scratched his stomach.
“Just thinking.” I gave him a small smile as he took out two bowls onto the table, pouring one with cereal and giving the cereal box to you.
“About what?” You poured the cereal, giving it to Sweet Pea, in exchange for milk. You poured yourself some, and he put the stuff back.
“About that jacket.” He sat down and nodded. You two ate in comfortable silence. After you finished you got up and washed your bowl and spoon, heading for the bedroom.
“Star Wars, huh?”
“Oh my God! Sweets!” You slammed the door shut, changing into your clothes. Sweet Pea smiled. You came out in your regular clothes and pony tail. “Not cool.” You gave him a kiss on the cheek, heading to the bathroom. You heard him laugh.
You both got ready, smiling to yourself as you saw Sweet Pea do his hair. It reminded you of Grease. He was just too cute in your eyes. He opened the front door, holding it open for you. “Ready?”
You hesitated, looking at the jacket. You couldn’t help it. You let out a sigh and quickly stuffed it in your backpack after folding it. “Yeah.” You looked at Sweet Pea, who had the biggest smile on. “Don’t.” You bit back a smile.
You two rode to school, and you were about to walk to class after hopping off, but a hand grabbed yours. “Wait!”
“What’s wrong Sweets?” You asked sweetly.
“Nothing, I, uh, was wondering if you’d want to go on a date with me, tonight.” He looked down at your held hands.
You leaned into him, wrapping your arms around his neck as he leaned against his bike. “I’d love to.” He smiled, and was about to kiss you until the warning bell rang. “Gotta go.” You pulled away.
“What?!”
“I’ll see you later!” You said as you rushed away to your class, leaving Sweet Pea feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. He’ll have to get you back for that.
The rest of this school day was about to be horrible for you. Just as you thought, the people of the Northside did not take kindly to those who are not their own.

Author’s Note: I was going to leave this on a bigger cliffhanger, but I figured I could push that for a little later in the story. For now let’s focus more on fluff.

The Southsider (pt. 3)
Sweet Pea x reader
Chapter Summary: With y/n’s past out, her life starts to fall apart, but Sweet Pea is determined to be there for her. But what happens when a secret that even she doesn’t know comes out?
Warning: past trauma, tragic backstory (sry I don’t want to spoil it)
Word Count: 2981
Chapter 1 • Chapter 2 • Chapter 4
Tumblr media
“Attention, everybody. I have an announcement to make.” You watched Reggie speak on top of the table, already knowing it had something to do with the Southside and why they shouldn’t be here.
“As you know, the Southside have invaded our space, and who knows when they’ll try to take over. But what we didn’t know was that a Southsider has been invading our territory for four years.” The Serpents’ reactions went from angry to confused. Everybody in the room was shocked.
Cheryl was standing beside Reggie on the ground with a few of her friends. One of them was recording this.
You were terrified. Someone had found out. Reggie, of all people. And Cheryl was in on it. No, you didn’t think Cheryl would agree to this if she knew. You thought that Cheryl of all people could sympathize with you when it came to what happened with your family.
“Y/n Y/l/n. It says right here that you were born on the Southside, and grew up there until four years ago.” He said, reading what looked like your police file. “That explains it all. Taking their side, running her mouth all the time.” He then looks at you. “That’s why you’re so different. You are below us.”
“Okay, Reggie. You caught me.” You said carefully. “I’m from the Southside. Are you satisfied?”
“Not just yet.” You looked at Jughead, panicking. His eyes were wide as his anger was rising.
“If any of you are wondering why she invaded the Northside, I’m the man to tell you.”
“Shut your mouth Reggie!” Jughead yelled.
“Once upon a time, there was this chick. She grew up in a trash town that was infested with snakes. Nobody paid attention to her. She was quiet and didn’t talk to anyone. She was perfectly boring. Except she wasn’t.”
“Reggie please. Stop.” You frantically said.
“You see, her dad seemed to be a pretty normal guy, but at home, that was a different story.”
Cheryl then looked at him, concerned. She didn’t want this to be too bad, but this seemed serious. “Stop it Reggie!” Jughead stood.
“He used to beat the girl, and her mom. Everyday. He’d do it where they could hide the bruises, but one day he he went too far.” He was staring straight at you.
“Oh my God, Reggie stop!” Cheryl said. She then turned to the girl who was recording. “Stop recording!”
“He had just beaten the girl, and she was lying on the floor crying. He was so mad at the crying, he told this girl to stop or else he’d beat her mom. Guess she was too scared or something, cause she cried harder. So he went, and beat her mom and kept beating her until her mom stopped struggling. She was dead.”
Tears slipped down your cheeks. It was out. Everybody knew. You were a coward, and let your own mom, who you loved more than anything, die.
Sweet Pea had been listening to this the whole time. He had just been listening, too shocked to do anything. But then he looked at you, crying and looking so small. Someone who always smiled and made joked and was perfect to him, was crying.
“She didn’t do anything to help her own mom. After he left the house she went to get help, but it was too late anyways. You let your mom die y/n. Who’s to say you aren’t just like your Southside dad?”
You stood up and bolted out of the cafeteria. This caused a switch went off in Sweet Pea. Reggie. He stood, going straight to that table he was standing on. He went on the table, not hesitating when punching him in the face. Another bulldog was going to grab Sweet Pea’s feet on the table, but his shoulder was yanked. He turned to get Jughead’s fist in his face. From then it was an all out rage between Bulldogs and Serpents.
Betty ran after you, finding you sitting on the floor in the girls restroom sobbing into your hands. “Oh, y/n.” She rushed over to you, sitting next to you and hugging you.
“He’s right Betty. It’s all my fault.”
“No it’s not, y/n/n. You were a kid, there’s nothing you could have done. You were scared, and that’s okay.”
“No it’s not. She’s gone. She’s gone because of me.”
“No, she’s gone because of your psycho dad. He’s the one that hurt the two of you. Don’t blame yourself, y/n. Your mom wouldn’t want it, would she?”
You shook your head, starting to calm down. That was when Cheryl made her presence known. “What do you want, Cheryl?” You muttered.
“I am so sorry, y/n. I had no idea that Reggie was going to say something like that. You don’t deserve that. Take it from someone with a horrible father as well.” You wanted to be mad at her, scream at her, slap her, but you didn’t. She really didn’t know about it, and when you felt like this you always wondered what your mom would do. She would forgive.
“It’s okay.” You stood, Betty putting her hand on your shoulder. Cheryl then stepped forward, giving you a hug.
She then pulled back. “Okay, now that that’s over, we need to go to the office.”
“Why?” Betty asked.
“There was a full out fight between the Serpents and the Bulldogs just now.” Cheryl explained, pointing her finger towards the door. “It probably was just stopped now, and no doubt the Serpents are going to be blamed for it. Meaning your boyfriends are going to be punished for the Bulldogs’ doing.”
“Okay, but what do we do about it?”
“You, my dear y/n, are going to use those tears to convince principal Weatherbee to not let the Southsiders be punished. Cousin and I will play the role of supporting friends.”
“And then he told me that I was just like him!” You told principal Weatherbee through fake tears. All of those who were a part of the fight stood behind you. Betty rubbed your back while Cheryl held your hand.
“There there, y/n. It’ll be okay. Hopefully this rein of bullying at this school will come to an end.” Cheryl sighed. Betty nodded. She then turned around and looked back at Jughead, winking. Jughead got it.
“Riverdale High is supposed to be the place where I feel safe. Isn’t that why Southside High closed down? You’d think that this highschool, your highschool, would show people to be better. The Serpents knew how unsafe I felt, and right now I haven’t felt this helpless since, well, you know. This was their was of showing me that I can be protected, and punishing them means that I won’t be able to feel safe at this school.”
Jughead came up to hug you. “It’ll be okay.” He whispered, loud enough to be heard but soft enough to be sincere.
“Thanks Juggy.” You whimpered.
“I think I’ve heard enough.” Principal Weatherbee stood from his seat. “Bulldogs, stay here. Mr. Mantle, come with me. The rest of you may leave, I’ll send an announcement on the intercoms that the rest of school today will be canceled. And, Miss. Y/l/n.”
You looked at him. “My apologies for this whole incident.” You gave him a weak smile and nodded, heading out with the rest. Right when you exited those door Jughead pulled you in for a tight hug. You hugged back.
“Okay, I’m going to Pop’s. Coming Betty?” And with that him and Betty left. Cheryl also gave her hug and said goodbye while the others walked away, leaving you with Sweet Pea.
You smiled. “Hi.”
He huffed out a small smile. “You seem to be doing okay. Are you okay?”
“I’m pulling through. My dad was a pretty angry dude all the time, and I aspire to not be like him. So here I am. And besides, you’re still here with me. Why shouldn’t I smile?” You then put your hand to his cheek unconsciously, looking at his injuries. “You seem pretty tore up, though. Are you okay?”
“I’m pulling through.” You let out a small laugh. “I got a first aid kit at home anyways, it’s cool.”
“Let’s go to your home then. I’ll help you.” He nodded, taking your hand that was on his cheek and holding onto it. He held your hand as the two of you walked to the parking lot.
You two then arrived at Sweet Pea’s trailer. Once you stepped inside Sweet Pea was feeling a little self-conscious about it. This was all he had. He felt that he probably seemed like a loser to you. “Uh, I know it’s not much but-”
“I love it in here. It feels so homey.” You looked around, smiling. This made him release a breathe of relief.
He got the first aid kit and sat on the couch, you standing in front of him. You raised his head by bringing up his chin with your fingers. You then wiped off all his wounds and dry blood to make sure nothing gets infected. You put ointment on the bruise directly under his right eye. Every touch was barely there. Your fingertips would ghost over his face.
“No one has ever been this gentle with me before.” He says, breaking the silence. “I kind of like it.”
“I don’t want to hurt you.”
“You could never hurt me.” He smirked as you plopped on the couch next to him.
“Are you being all flirty with me because I’m from the Southside?” You teased.
“No, but that just makes you so much more awesome than you already are.” Your faces were close. You two slowly leaning in together, finally kissing. It was simple, then Sweet Pea grabbed your face and deepened the kiss. You tilted your head for better access, running your hands over his shoulders. You both accidentally fall backwards on the couch, a giggle escaping you.
“That meant something to you, right?” Sweet Pea looked into your eyes. For the first time in a very long time, Sweet Pea was vulnerable.
You looked up at him in awe. “It meant so much to me.” You smiled cupping his cheeks. “And you?”
“More than you know.” He leaned down a pressed another kiss to your mouth, a quicker one. “You hungry?”
“Starving.”
“Pop’s?”
“Pop’s.”
While you and Sweet Pea were together, Betty and Jughead were planning something for you. “So I was thinking that we could give her something, as a way to show her that she can depend on us as family.” Betty said, sipping on her milkshake.
“I like it. What about that camera she likes to use all the time? We can make a collage or something. We’ll just get the pictures from the camera, and print them out.” Jughead said, munching on a fry.
“But how are we going to get the camera?”
“I have her spare keys.” Betty nodded her head. They finished their food and went off to your house.
They got the camera and started to print out the pictures they wanted. They then bought a poster board and glued the pictures on there at Jughead’s trailer. “Maybe we should put some other stuff on.” Betty suggests.
“Good idea. Let’s see if we can find some stuff.” Jughead brought out a few boxes of old stuff. Even when your dad was around, you and Jughead were each other’s only friends.
They both went through some stuff, but what Betty found was interesting. It was a serpent jacket, one a bit too small for Jughead. With it was an envelope with your name on it. “Jug, what is this?”
He looked at the coat and the envelope. “I don’t know.” They looked at each other and nodded. Betty opened the envelope, and inside was a letter addressed to you. They both read it. Betty put her hand over her mouth in shock. “What…” Jughead trailed off.
You and Sweet Pea just arrived at Pop’s. You opened the door, people turning and staring at you. There were a few people from school there, whispering and pointing at you. You suddenly felt shy, and Sweet Pea saw why. He glared at them, with them avoiding eye contact in return. He snaked his hand around your waist, pulling you towards him. You let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding in and leaned into him.
“Y/n.” Pop said, coming from the kitchen. “Oh, hold on.” He went back into the kitchen and brought back a bag of food. “I heard what happened. I made this to make you feel better, and I put in extra in case you came with a friend. On the house. And don’t worry about coming in later, you’re taking the day off.”
You put on a weak smile. “You know me so well Pop.” You took the bag and started for the door.
“Oh, and y/n,”
You turned. “Yeah Pop?”
“You are nothing like him, I could tell you that much.”
You wanted to cry. “Thanks Pop. That means a lot.”
You both walked outside. You were trying to not cry, breathing in and out heavily. You couldn’t cry. Not for the second time today. Not in front of Sweet Pea. “You okay?” Sweet Pea asked gentle.
“Mhm.” You whimpered.
“You sure?” You shook your head. He brought you in for a hug, resting his chin on top of your head. “It’ll be okay.”
“Nobody will look at me the same way.” You said into his chest.
“Really? Cause I still see an adorable chick that didn’t care about the symbol on my back or the tattoo that I have.”
“That’s cause your tattoo looks hot on you.” You whimpered. There was a moment of silence where Sweet Pea froze, shocked at the comment. He then felt you shake from laughter. He soon melted into laughter as well.
“Let’s go back to my trailer. Our food’s gonna get cold.” You both hopped on the bike, Sweet Pea revving it. Before you both took off, you leaned up and kissed his neck where the tattoo was. He turned back quickly, facing you with red cheeks.
“Hurry up.” You smiled. He slowly gave you a wild smile, turning back and driving off. When you got back you both ate your food, then it hit you. “Oh crap.”
“What?”
“We have English homework to do.” He groaned, feeling visibly irritated already. “Don’t worry, it won’t be that bad. You have me.” You both sat on his bed.
You took him through everything. The chorus foreshadowing, the other foreshadows, the gist of what was read, why the literary devises are important and how it affects the audience.
You wrote notes and had him copy them down. He felt a little frustrated that you knew so much and had to explain everything to him. He felt dumb. You could sense that he was feeling like he wasn’t smart, and you didn’t want that.
“Hey.” You said softly. He looked up and saw you crawling to him. When you got to him you put your left hand on his cheek and your right hand on his knee, leaning in and kissing him.
He kissed back, forgetting his frustration. His hands found your hips, pulling you onto his lap. You pulled back for air and pressed your foreheads together. “Pea.” You whispered. “What are we?”
He was hesitant. He didn’t want you to reject him, but he wanted to be with you. “I wanna be a thing.” He said, nervous.
You were overcome with joy. You hugged him tightly and kissed all over his face, making sure to be careful of his bruise though. He fell backwards and you were on top of him. He looked up and saw you smiling. “So do I.”
He smiled and laughed. He flipped the both of you, his towering over you. He was about to kiss you when there was a knock at the door. He groaned as you slipped away from him and started for the door. You opened it, with Sweet Pea right behind you.
“Y/n,” It was Jughead, with Betty beside him. “We need to talk.”
“Now?”
“What, did we interrupt something?”
You huffed. “No-”
“Yeah, you did.” Sweet Pea cut you off, pressing himself to your back. You looked over your shoulder and smiled at him.
“Yeah, hi. We’re still here.” Jughead said. “You need to come to my trailer.”
You bit your lip, unsure of what was so important. “Can Sweets come too?”
“I don’t think-”
“Of course he can.” Betty said. Jughead looked at her, confused and irritated. “She needs all the support she can get.” She said quietly to him.
The four of you began to walk to Jughead’s trailer, you and Betty in front and Jughead and Sweet Pea trailing behind. “So,” Betty said. “Are you two something?” She smiled.
You smiled wildly back, nodding.
“So,” Jughead said. “Are you two like a thing?”
“Yeah.” Sweet Pea couldn’t hold back his smile. “Is that a problem?”
“No, just wondering. Remember, my dad and I will be watching.” Sweet Pea let out a small laugh and pat Jughead on the back. Jughead breathed out a laugh in response.
You got to the trailer to see FP waiting for you. He saw you and stood from the couch. “Y/n.” He said, then looking at Sweet Pea coming in behind you. “Sweet Pea. Maybe you should wait outside. This is-”
“No, he stays.” You said. He looked at you, then nodded.
“Before I tell you this, know that I want you to understand that I was waiting for the right moment to tell you this.” He seemed very nervous.
“What’s up?” He stared at you, sorrow in his eyes. You looked at Jughead and Betty, with the same look. “Guys what is it?” You smiled, trying to lighten the mood.
FP went to grab something, coming back with a Serpent jacket and handing it to you. “Why are you giving this to me?”
“Y/n, your mother was a Serpent.”

The Southsider (pt. 2)
Sweet Pea x reader
Chapter Summary: Things are getting off to a great start with Sweet Pea and y/n, but what happens when someone finds out her past?
Word Count: 2428
Chapter 1 • Chapter 3
Tumblr media
You pulled up at the Whyte Wrym parking lot. Worried that your hair was a mess from the wind, you try to smoothen it. “You look good.” Sweet Pea reaches his hand out for you. You smile and blush, looking down and taking his hand.
You two went inside and, much to Toni’s delight, were still holding hands. Fangs eyed you both. “Cute.” He said as he smirked.
Sweet Pea instantly yanked his hand away from yours. He looked at you with red cheeks. “You know how to play pool?”
“No. You wanna show me?” You smiled.
He grabbed a pool stick and put it in your hands. He stood right behind you, towering over you. “Okay bend down.” You both bent down to the pool table. Your face felt extremely hot.
“Easy there, Sweets. Big brother is watching.” Jughead said. Toni and Fangs were compressing their laughter from your blushing face.
Sweet Pea chose to block all of them out. “Hold the stick like this, and put your hand right here.” He positions your arms and hands where they need to go. “And hit the ball.” The stick then hit the white ball, sending all others if different directions. He then stood, you standing with him. “Looks like your stripes.”
You looked at each other, close together. You were about to say something until a hand slaps Sweet Pea’s back hard. “Sweet Pea.” FP says, putting his hand on his shoulder. “Can I speak to you in private?” He tightens his grip.
“Sure.” Sweet Pea said stiffly. They then both went outside.
They both left you worried for Sweet Pea. FP’s dad instincts seem to have kicked in. Once those doors closed, the tight smile on his face was gone. “What the hell do you think your doing in there?”
“I was just teaching her how to play pool-”
“She’s not just some cheap piece of meat that you can throw away after getting what you want.”
“No! I wouldn’t do that to her. I just thought she might have fun-”
FP yanked the collar of his jacket, pointing a finger at him. “You better watch yourself.”
“-playing pool! I thought she might have fun playing pool.” Sweet Pea defensively put his hands up.
He then let go of him. “Careful, boy. You don’t use a girl like that.”
Sweet Pea nodded and quickly walked back inside. When you saw him, it looked like he had seen a ghost. “Sweets, you good?” You put a hand on his arm.
“Yeah. Yeah I’m good.” You were still pretty worried, so you gently squeezed his arm and let go.
“You wanna finish that pool game?”
After the pool game you talked with the four a while before Sweet Pea stood up. “It’s kinda late, I’ll take you home.”
You gave him directions as you rode to the Northside with him. You stopped at a small house that had no cars in it’s driveway. “Are your mom and dad out?” He asked as you hopped off.
“No, I live with my aunt. She’s away on another business thing. It’s just me right now.” You shifted in your place, wanting to change the subject. “Tonight was cool, Pea. Thanks for that.”
He nodded. You start to walk to the door when Sweet Pea asked, “What, no goodnight kiss?”
You turned around and looked at him and his teasing smile. You walked up to him and gave him a chaste kiss on the cheek. “Good night, Sweets. Can’t wait to see you at school tomorrow.” You turned and walked inside.
“Night.” He said quietly. When you left he slowly went into the biggest smile ever. He then drove off, excited for tomorrow to come.
What the two of you didn’t know was that at that exact moment Reggie was breaking into the sheriff’s office to find anything he could on you, and what he found was unexpected. And just what he needed. He couldn’t have a rebel at Riverdale High helping the Southside take over the school. Traitors of the Northside need to be punished.
He called Cheryl. “Do you realize what time it is? You have no respect for beauty sleep.”
“I got something on y/n.”
“I’m listening.”
“I don’t want to ruin the surprise yet, but get as many people as you can. Tomorrow at lunch we’ll show those snakes that if they mess with us, we mess with those they care about.”
“See you tomorrow then.”
The next day you walked to school, meeting Kevin at the front. You looked at him very excitedly. “I went to the Whyte Wrym last night!”
His mouth flew open. “The Serpents’ hang out spot?!” He nodded your head, blushing like crazy. He linked your arms together. “Tell me more.”
As you and Kevin were talking, so were Sweet Pea, Toni and Fangs. “Alright dude, how are you going to get her to like you?”
“You think I know?” Sweet Pea said as they all got off their bikes.
“Maybe you should come on stronger?” Toni suggested.
“Or maybe we should help make them closer.” Fangs nodded. Toni reluctantly agreed, and Sweet Pea had come to the conclusion that his friends were going to embarrass the crap out of him today.
You were walking and talking with Kevin when you both see Sweet Pea with Fangs and Toni in the hallways. “You have to go talk to him.” Kevin told me.
“Are you sure? I feel more confident in the arms of my favorite gay.” You said, playfully clinging to him.
“I’m rooting for you two now, so starting today I will do what I can to support this ship. Now go talk to him.” You took a quick break, nodded, and started to walk towards Sweet Pea, but Kevin grabbed your arm. “Just promise you’ll be careful?”
“Promise.” And with that you were going to walk towards them, but Kevin grabbed your arm again.
“Wait, we have to make this subtle.”
“What?”
“We should walk by and pretend to not have noticed them until he says hi. Come on.” He grabs your arm and links it with his again.
“Your putting way too much thought into this.” You whispered.
“Sh. It’ll work.”
You then walked closer to him, and just as Kevin said, he took notice in you. “Y/n. Hey.” He waved, kind of nervous on how you’d react.
“Oh, hey Sweet Pea!”
“I’ll leave you two be!” Kevin said.
You shook your head. “You’re a big a loser as I am, Kev.” He fixed his strap on his bag and smiled. “See you at lunch.” He waved at you and Sweet Pea.
“What’s with you two?” Sweet Pea smiled.
“Nothing. Just dorks being dorks together. Hey guys.” The other two nod.
Toni taps Fang’s arm, and he nods. He goes up to you and fake accidentally pushes you into Sweet Pea. “So how’s your morni- oh crap. My bad y/n.”
Your body goes forward into Sweet Pea, grabbing onto his jacket to stabilize yourself. “It’s okay Fangs.
You then went to stand next to Sweet Pea. Fangs eyed Toni, meaning that it was her turn. She went next to you and leaned on your shoulder hard. "So, y/n, what do you think of the Whyte Wrym?”
Her leaning on you made you stumble into Sweet Pea’s side, grabbing onto his arm. “Uh, it was cool. It felt really homey. Hey, you guys got your schedules today, right?”
“Yeah.” Sweet Pea said, looking down at you. You were still holding onto his arm.
“Can I see?” They all handed you their papers. “Toni you have bio with me, Fangs we have US History, Sweets we got PE. We all have English together.” The bell rang and you gave back the papers. “Toni let’s go together.”
“Sure.” You both started walking towards your class. You turned and smiled, waving towards the two boys, with them waving back.
Right after you turned back around Sweet Pea punched Fangs in the shoulder. “What the hell was that?!”
“She held your arm, didn’t she?” Fangs said while holding onto his shoulder.
The rest of your day went by smoothly and quickly. Biology with Toni was fun, and seeing how Fangs was a secret genius in History was interesting. Geometry was kind of slow, but that’s what you had Archie there for. Now was fourth period: English.
You all were getting new seats, so all of you were at the perimeter of the room. “Is it me or is there a lot of people staring at us?” You asked Fangs.
“It’s the jackets and tattoos. It scares them.”
One guy walks past the four of you as he is assigned his seat, saying “Be careful babe, these guys are criminals.”
Sweet Pea is extremely close to throwing a punch at this guy, but is stopped as you link your arm to Sweet Pea’s, leaning onto him. “No, I think I’d prefer them to some high school has been waiting to happen. Thanks anyways, babe.” You turned to Sweet Pea. “What a privledged asshole.”
He let out a laugh. You really didn’t care about where they came from. He wondered why that was, but dismissed the question.
The teacher then called out your name, followed by Toni, which meant that she sat behind you. When the teacher called him, it was the seat next to yours. He tried his very best to hide his smile. Fangs was behind him. It was perfect.
Your teacher now passed out the school books for Romeo and Juliet. She explained the gist of this unit. What the quizzes will be on, how we need to find literary devises, what writing assignments they will have. It was all so foreign to Sweet Pea. English was his worst subject. He’s going to look like an idiot in front of you.
You were all tasked with reading Act I Scenes i-iii. You had to decipher what was going on in the story, and list out literary devices on what is was relating to and what it meant. Sweet Pea was going to die.
“Hey.” You said, snapping him out of his thoughts. “You good?”
“No.” He said without thinking. “I mean yeah! It’s just that I’m crap at English.”
“Oh, then let’s work on the homework together after school.” He wondered how a person could be so nice. “You can pick me up when I’m done with my shift from Pop’s.”
“When do you get off?”
“Give me your number and I could text you when.” This came out without the intention of anything except exchanging information. Once you realized what you said, you felt your cheeks get hot.
You silently handed him your phone. He put in his number, finding it sad that you were more smooth than he is. He still seemed to like being around you.
He gave it back to you with a new contact in your phone. You began to get cold from sitting under the air vent. You started to rub your arms and let down your hair for any sort of warmth.
Sweet Pea noticed this and shimmied out of his jacket. “Here.” He handed it to you.
“Oh, no Sweets it’s fine-”
“No it’s not. You’re cold, right? Put on the jacket.”
You took it, giving him a teasing smile. “What?”
“You worried about me, Sweets?”
He smirked back. “You care about what I think of you, y/n?”
“Good one.” You said, biting your lip as you smiled and looked down at the book to read. Sweet Pea looked at you in the oversized serpent jacket with your hair down. You looked hot and cute at the same time. He then looked back down at his own book, not understanding most of what he was reading. Meanwhile, Toni and Fangs were silently enjoying the show.
The bell rang and what began was what Reggie had been waiting for all day. Lunch.
They walked you to the cafeteria, which you normally don’t eat at but you all heard that Reggie had important news. You parted ways with them once you saw your five friends over at a table.
“Oh, my God.” Veronica said, staring at you. Kevin looked at you, then widened his eyes and looked again at you. You sat down next to Kevin, wondering why everyone was staring. Betty put a hand over her mouth to try to stop herself from laughing.
“Uh, y/n,” Archie said, scratching the back of his head.
“Is that Sweet Pea’s?” Jughead bluntly asked.
You looked down in embarrassment and saw that you were still wearing Sweet Pea’s serpent jacket. You put your head down and played with the oversized sleeves. “Maybe.”
“Wow, I was not expecting that.” Veronica said. “What a pleasant surprise.”
“Give it to me. I’ll give it back to him.” Jughead reached his hand out, waiting for the jacket to be given.
“Why?” You whined. “It’s comfy. I can see why you guys always wear it.”
“We don’t wear it for comfort, y/n. It’s a symbol of a tribe. It shouldn’t just be handed to someone who’s cold. It means a lot more than that!”
“So you’re saying I’m important to him?” You teased, giving him a smile.
“Now y/n.”
You rolled your eyes and took off the jacket. He grabbed it and went over to where his other friends were sitting, angrily saying something you couldn’t hear. Sweet Pea shrugged in response and said something else. He then looked at your table, causing everyone else to look away. You kept your gaze at him, giving him a knowing look and a shrug. He smiled in return.
“Eyes in front.” Jughead said as he stomped back over to your table. You turned back around and rested your chin on your hand.
“Are you jealous because their chemistry rivals that of bughead?” Kevin asked. Betty giggled and Jughead aggressively munched on his chips.
You turned to Betty. “Has Jughead ever let you wear his jacket?” She smiled and nodded. You jolted up. “What- Jug!”
Before he could protest, Reggie stood on top of a table. “Attention everybody. I have an announcement to make.”
——-
Author Note: Sorry, I said I would reveal y/n’s past in this chapter, but I wrote a lot and thought this would be a good place to leave off. I just want this to be more fluff than angst.

Chapter 2
Tumblr media
You and Kevin walked up to the table where Veronica had set up everything for the Southside transfer students. You and Kevin looked at each other, already reading each other’s minds. This looked so lame.
They then walked through the door, everybody stopping what they’re doing to watch them. You took a step forward, but Kevin stopped you. “What are you doing?”
“I’m going to say hi to Jughead?” You furrowed your brows.
“Are you crazy?! There are Serpents over there!”
“Just a bit, Kev.” You moved his hand, proceeding.
“Y/n you do not want to step on a snake’s boundaries!”
You turned back to look at Kevin and start visibly stomping. “Y/n!”
You giggled and turned around, looking at Jughead and the other Serpents. You then outstretched your arms. “Welcome back Jug.”
He hugged back. “Thanks Y/n.”
“New jacket?” You teased.
“Yup.” He answered seriously. You laughed. Sweet Pea was listening to this and smirked. At least not everyone would be perfect and boring here.
Veronica stood from her seat and smiled. She then was explaining everything about the school that can help them out.
“This is so cringe.” You whispered to Kevin.
“I thought I was the only one.”
“I love Ronnie and all, but maybe we shouldn’t have let the most known rich girl introduce Riverdale High.” You two both looked at each other, and started to quietly laugh.
Sweet Pea saw you smile and was intrigued for some reason. You seemed like a fun person, and didn’t seem to care that they were Serpents from that jacket joke.
He was snapped out of his thoughts from everybody turning their heads to see Cheryl and Reggie with some River Vixens coming down the stairs. “I’m sorry, but I will not tolerate these people to attend our school. These halls are clean and are not troublesome, and we don’t need our school GPA to go down because of some… underachievers.”
You rolled your eyes. Here we go again.
Archie steps up. “Stop it guys. Can’t we just start over? Clean slate?”
Reggie interjects. “Uh, you don’t speak for the bulldogs, Andrews. And need I remind you that these Southside scum came and showed up at your house looking for a fight?”
Sweet Pea had enough. “Happy to finish what we started.”
“Okay I am over the toxic masculinity in this room.”
Reggie still looks like he’s ready to start a fight. “Watch yourself.”
This was when you had enough and stepped up. “Reggie, calm down. I know puppies are really territorial and nobody cares if you piss all over the football field to mark your territory, but you need to chill out with the Serpents because literally they just walked through a door.”
Sweet Pea was surprised by this outburst. You didn’t even know them, and yet you were defending them. He just wanted to hear more out of you.
The group glared at you, as if it were a challenged. You then turned to Kevin shaking your head. “Stray dogs, am I right?”
They then all angrily walked away. “Oh. My God. Y/n! Your mouth is going to get you into serious trouble one day.” Kevin exclaimed. You looked at him and gave him a cheeky grin in return. All of that was so incredibly attractive to Sweet Pea.
Later on the Serpents headed to the school library so Jughead can introduce his old friends to them. “This is Veronica.” Veronica stood up and introduced herself again and made a comment on how amazing the different culture Riverdale will now have.
“You guys know Archie.” Archie simply waved. “This is Betty.” She excitedly smiled at them. Just then, you came in and sat down next to Kevin. Suddenly Sweet Pea just got more interested in Jughead’s friends. “That’s Kevin.”
Fangs took notice in him. “You dated Juaquin, right.”
“Uh, yeah.” Kevin nervously said.
“He talked about you a lot.”
Kevin was in his own thoughts until he turned to see you grinning at him. “Y/n shut up.” He mumbled.
“And that’s Y/n.”
You looked around, locking eyes with Sweet Pea for a second. You blushed and looked away. You wondered why that guy was staring at you so intensely. “Hey guys.” You said, a little quieter than you meant.
Fangs looked closely at you. “Do I know you from somewhere?”
You were starting to get a little nervous. You didn’t think anyone would still remember you. “I work at Pop’s.”
“Nah, from somewhere else.”
“I don’t think so.” You smiled. You and Jughead gave each other a look. The memories are too painful for you to bring out. And besides, if students got wind of your past, they would find ways to torment you about it.
After school you headed to Pop’s. You went to the back and put on your red pants and yellow Pop’s shirt. You went to the front to see FP starting his shift as well. “Hey FP.”
“Hey Y/n.” He smiled. Jughead and FP was the only one who knew about your past, not including your dad. But he was far away from you now, so you didn’t have to worry about him. FP was like a father figure to you. “How was Jughead’s first day back?”
“He seems more angsty that usual.” You said, wiping off the counter. “Most at Riverdale High don’t want the serpents there.”
He sighed, hearing a ding from where Pops was cooking. He grabbed the food and served it to some people at a booth. “That boy’s pride is going to get him into some trouble.”
Meanwhile, Jughead, Tony and Fangs were all intrigued from hearing Sweet Pea ask about you. “What’s up with that y/n girl?”
“What about her?”
“What’s she like?” Everyone teasingly looked at him and started laughing. “Shut up.” He growled. “I just thought it was cool how she stood up for the Serpents. And she seems pretty funny too.”
Jughead nodded. “She’s not afraid to speak her mind. She’ll say whatever she wants if she thinks it’s necessary. If she’s not defending you, she’s making you laugh. She’s also the nicest person you’ll ever meet. I used to take Jellybean to her house when my parents were arguing. She’s like a sister to me.”
Sweet Pea nodded, smiling to himself as he thought of you. If you knew Jellybean, then that would mean you’ve been on the Southside. If you and Jughead were friends, that means that you didn’t have a problem with the Southside.
“What’s got you thinking?” Toni asked. “You debating whether to date a Northsider or not?”
“No.” He glared at her. “I just think we should thank her for standing up to us.”
“Okay.” Jughead said. “Let’s go then. I’m hungry anyway.” Everyone was confused, until Jughead clarified, “She said she works at Pop’s, remember?”
When they got there they found you and FP talking to each other while working. You said something, causing FP to laugh and shake his head.
They sat down at a booth, Sweet Pea looking nervous. They made him sit on the outside so that he could be closer to her when she comes. “Maybe your fingers will touch.” Fangs teased.
FP saw them sit down, about to head towards them when Jughead made eye contact with him and shook his head. He stopped, confused, when Jughead nodded his head towards you. He was still confused, until Jughead then nodded his head towards Sweet Pea, who was tapping his foot and had his head lowered. FP then understood, and nodded his head no. He was a little protective of you. Jughead mouthed the word please.
FP frustratedly breathed out through his nose. He then turned to you. “Hey, I’m gonna go clean up those booths. Could you serve them?”
“Sure.” You grabbed menus and went to the table. “What’s up Jug?”
“Not much. But Sweet Pea has something he wants to tell you.” He smiled. Toni snorts.
“What is it?” You smiled, looking at him.
“Uh, I just wanted to say thank you for sticking up for us, at school. It was pretty cool and funny.” He looked stiff.
“No problem. Reggie’s talks a big game to make himself seem cooler. And don’t worry about Cheryl. I’m pretty sure it’s all that red lipstick that’s controlling her mouth.” The other three laughed, while Sweet Pea gave you a side smile. “So, drinks?”
They ordered their milkshakes. You went to the back and made them, bringing them to their table. “Hope you like them. I made them myself.”
“What?!” Jughead was shocked. “That’s a family recipe. Everytime I asked Pop he always denied it, saying that it was one of the most biggest secrets of his.”
You playfully shrugged. “I guess I just have that effect on people. Right FP?”
FP walked by to give some food to another booth, a smile on his face when saying, “Jughead, listen to your sister.”
You giggled at Jughead’s face reaction. You held up your pen and notepad. “So what would you guys like to eat?”
You took their orders and served them their food. After that you went on your break and sat with them. You talked and joked with them. Everything was good, until your stomach started to grumble really loud. You mentally slapped yourself. You forgot to go food shopping, and haven’t eaten anything all day.
Sweet Pea slid his plate across the table to you. “Eat.”
“Oh, no it’s okay-”
“No it’s not. You’re hungry right? Eat.”
You never really cared for people’s looks. A person could be good looking, but an asshole at the same time. But Sweet Pea being kind enough to give his food to you made him a lot more attractive to you.
“It’s okay y/n, I get it. I’m starving too.” Jughead said next to you.
“Really Jug? What plate number is that? I think I just watched you eat a whole ass cow’s worth of burgers.” You said, munching on some fries.
After you finished the fries you went back to work. Sweet Pea had asked the three to stay and wait for your shift to be done, so that’s what they did.
After you finished your shift Jughead said, “We’re going to the Whyte Wyrm. We’ll see you around.”
“Have fun!” Sweet Pea just couldn’t muster up the balls to ask you out. As he was walking for the door, he felt a hand lightly grab his arm. He turned around to see you, looking smaller compared to him this close. “Thanks for the fries. If you want I could pay you-”
“Nah, it’s fine. You were hungry. You should take better care of yourself so you don’t get that hungry.” Sweet Pea just wanted to punch himself for saying that. He figured he must have sounded like he was nagging or something.
You blushed and smiled. “Will do. But I still feel bad. Is there anything I could do for you?”
He mustered up all the courage he had and smirked. “You could come to the Whyte Wrym with me.”
“Right now?”
“Yeah.”
“Okay.” Sweet Pea felt extremely proud from the quick response.
You two walked outside to his motorcycle. “You’re a safe driver right?” You felt a little nervous.
“Only the best.” He laughed a bit. “It’s okay. All you gotta do is hold onto me.”
“Okay.” You said quietly. He got on and nodded for you to climb on too. You got on and wrapped your arms around Sweet Pea.
He revved up the bike, and you instantly tightened your grip. You felt his body shake with laughter. “Ha ha.” You said over the motor. As you guys took off, you put your head to rest on Sweet Pea’s back. You liked the feeling of the wind hitting you.
It would be nice to see the Southside again. It’s been about four years since you moved out of the Southside. Nobody has to know that you lived there, or more importantly why you moved. It was too painful, and you knew that if you let your secret out, the people of the Northside won’t look at you the same way again.
