Maelle is just such a fantastic character. Deeply flawed. Deeply hypocritical. As you get to act three you start seeing her becoming more and more engrossed in her painter powers and we begin to realize that Aline wasn’t the only person we should be concerned with. She has near no remorse for removing canvas! Alicia—because why would she, she’s in the canvas, verso only needs one Alicia right? Alicia wanted this, she wanted to be returned to her family. But verso? No verso you don’t get a say on what you want. You’re meant to be with me—you’re MY brother.
