Sinthea had never known freedom, only the cold steel of a lab and the weight of expectation. From the moment she was born, she was nothing more than an experiment—her father’s legacy made flesh. The Red Skull was gone, but his will lived on in the hands of his disciples. They pushed her beyond human limits, warping time itself to shape her into something unnatural. Aged, de-aged, injected with an unstable serum—her body should have broken a hundred times over. But it didn’t. She survived because she had no choice.

By the time they sealed her away in a cryochamber deep in Siberia, she was no longer a girl, but not yet a woman. A weapon preserved for the day Hydra would need her. That day never came. The war moved on without her, and she was left to sleep in the dark, forgotten.

Years passed. Then—light. Movement. Voices.

When SHIELD raided the abandoned facility, they weren’t expecting her. And when she woke, they weren’t prepared for the storm she unleashed. Confused, terrified, and unwilling to be anyone’s puppet again, she lashed out. Even with all their strength, their numbers, it took two of Earth’s mightiest to subdue her—Natasha Romanoff and Tony Stark.

Natasha understood the fear behind Sinthea’s eyes. She had been there before—used, controlled, shaped into something inhuman. And so, she did what no one else had ever done. She reached out, not as an agent, not as an interrogator, but as someone who knew what it was like to be a prisoner of the past.

Stark, however, was less forgiving. He saw not a victim, but a reminder of the man who had caused untold suffering. And yet, despite his suspicion, despite the walls he put between them, Sin did not blame him. She despised the name she was born with just as much as he did.

She was her father’s daughter by blood, but not by will. She had no intention of carrying on his work—she would destroy it. Every last remnant, every sick ideology, every ghost of his empire.

She had been created to serve Hydra. Instead, she would be the one to end it.

And in time, she would learn that family wasn’t something written in blood. It was something found. Something fought for. And for the first time in her life, she had something worth fighting for.

Berghild Finnegani

Born under the shadow of a blood-red moon, Berghild Finnegani's origins were as mysterious as the dark lands she hailed from. She grew up in the northern reaches, where the icy winds howled and the ancient forests whispered forgotten tales. The bastard daughter of a powerful northern lord, King Roderic, and a healer of a hidden, mystical bloodline, She was raised away from the court, hidden in the dark reaches of Finnegani Keep, a fortress on the edge of the known world, where her mother, a mysterious woman of the shadowed woods—had once dwelled. Little was known of her mother’s people, rumored to be an ancient race with ties to both the arcane and the elemental forces of the world.

Her pale, porcelain skin, raven-dark hair, and striking violet eyes set her apart from the other northern children, and from a young age, whispers followed her, calling her Phantomborn.

Berghild’s childhood was spent in isolation, but it was far from quiet. The winds of the North whispered secrets to her, and the shadows danced in her presence. As she grew, so did her awareness of the strange gifts she possessed: the ability to commune with the unseen spirits of the natural world, to manipulate shadows, and to wield an ethereal blade forged from the void. Her connection to the elements of ice and darkness made her feared by those who knew of her existence. But with power came loneliness. Even in the fortress where she was raised, she was treated as an outsider, her parentage and abilities setting her apart.

At the age of sixteen, she left Finnegani Keep to seek answers about her origins, her powers, and the looming darkness she could feel on the horizon. Berghild ventured across Eldarûn, learning from wandering sorcerers, hidden loremasters, and even the elusive elven race of the western woods. Along her journey, she mastered the art of shadowcraft, becoming a warrior skilled in stealth, magic, and manipulation of the unseen forces of the world. With a sword forged from both ice and shadows, she became known as "The Shadowborn."

Though she had no love for King Roderic, her sense of duty to protect the Northlands—her homeland—grew stronger as she discovered the true nature of her mother’s legacy. Berghild was not merely a bastard daughter, but the last scion of an ancient order known as the Frostweavers, a forgotten line of sorcerers who once safeguarded the balance between light and shadow, life and death.

Age: Late 20s

Biography

Celeste Bjornson lived a peaceful and simple life in a small town, unaware of the incredible and terrible potential she carried within her. Her childhood was ordinary and happy, marked by the love of her family and her bond with her golden retriever, Buddy. Everything seemed normal until one fateful day when Celeste was just eight years old.

Buddy was hit by a car, left broken and dying on the side of the road. Devastated and desperate, Celeste clung to him, crying out for him to be okay. To her astonishment, warmth spread from her hands into his body, knitting his wounds together until Buddy sprang back to life. Though amazed, Celeste didn’t understand what had happened and kept the incident secret, pushing the memory to the back of her mind.

For years, Celeste’s life remained quiet and uneventful. She never used her ability again, partly out of fear and partly because she didn’t know how.

The Turning Point

Celeste’s older sister, Lucille, had been dating a drug-addicted, abusive boyfriend, and Celeste tried to intervene. They fought bitterly, and Lucille, momentarily swayed by her sister’s pleas, decided to stay. Furious, her boyfriend pulled out a gun to threaten Lucille into leaving with him. In a horrifying moment of chaos, he accidentally pulled the trigger, shooting Lucille in the head.

Celeste’s world shattered as her sister collapsed lifelessly before her. Desperation consumed her as she tried to use her healing powers, but Lucille was already gone. Her abilities could not bring back the dead. Grief turned into rage, and Celeste screamed, unleashing a dark, destructive force she never knew she possessed.

The man’s head exploded in an instant, her agony and fury channeling into an uncontrollable act of violence. The realization that she could inflict such pain horrified her. From that moment, Celeste was never the same.

Life After the Incident

The guilt of Lucille’s death and the terrifying new power Celeste had unleashed drove her into isolation. Her newfound ability to manipulate pain was unpredictable and dangerous. A stray thought, fueled by anger or anxiety, could harm anyone near her. She became a recluse, cutting herself off from the world to protect others from herself.

Abilities

Healing Power (Touch):

Can heal external wounds, including deep cuts, fractured bones, and severe burns.

Currently limited to external injuries; cannot yet heal internal organ damage or fatal conditions.

Healing leaves her drained, particularly with serious injuries.

Cannot bring back the dead or reverse the effects of fatal damage.

Her healing abilities will strengthen with practice, though she avoids using them due to her trauma.

Pain Manipulation (Telekinesis/Telepathy):

Can amplify physical and emotional pain or create false sensations of agony.

Can transfer wounds from one body to another.

Can neutralize physical pain entirely, though she rarely does so.

Responds to her emotions; intense feelings of anger, fear, or grief can trigger the ability without her control.

Personality

Celeste is deeply compassionate but burdened by guilt, fear, and self-hatred. Her innate desire to help others is overshadowed by the trauma of her sister’s death and the knowledge of what her powers can do. She avoids human contact, fearing that even a moment of emotional weakness could lead to harm.

Muse: Vaeryn "Tahlvyr" Skorvaris

Name Meaning:

Vaeryn: Derived from ancient tongue, meaning “whisper of winter.”

Tahlvyr (nickname): A compound from the invented language Vynaril (Vynaril = "Language of the Winds"), where Tahl means “blood” and Vyr means “arrow.” Together, Tahlvyr translates to “Blood-Arrow.”

Skorvaris: Her family name, meaning “born of frost”

Appearance

Height: 5’9”

Snow-white hair tied into long braids, streaked with crimson dye in honor of her first kill.

Pale skin, almost blending with the frost, with faint scars adorning her hands and arms—marks of her trade.

Icy blue eyes that seem to pierce through the very soul, a trait among her people believed to grant them the ability to see the spirits of the hunt.

Abilities

Master Archer: Vaeryn’s arrows never miss their mark. She uses enchanted obsidian-tipped arrows capable of piercing even the thickest armor.

Silent Tracker: Her ability to move unnoticed through the snow is legendary, as is her skill in tracking prey.

Beast Affinity: Vaeryn has an almost supernatural connection with the creatures of the tundra, particularly wolves and snow hawks.

Snowshaper Magic (limited): As a descendant of the Tirisven, Vaeryn possesses minor elemental magic that allows her to manipulate snow and ice in subtle ways—creating camouflage, hiding her tracks, or freezing small amounts of water.

Her World

Setting: The frozen, mountainous realm of Vyrhollin, where endless winters blanket the land in snow and survival depends on precision and strength. Vaeryn’s people are known as Aelvara, meaning “Silent Ones,” skilled in tracking, stealth, and archery.
