you were meant to be asleep hours ago, but your classmate yunjin had different plans.

yunjin always stayed in her dorm playing guitar. every night, every day. you could never fall asleep because of her. the moment you close your eyes, you hear the sound of an electric guitar playing in the room next to you, and you have to witness this every single day. and to you, it's getting a bit annoying. (sorry jen) not even just a bit, but A LOT. so this time, you decide to shut her up.

you knock on yunjin's door, waiting there annoyed. but, it doesn't take a while for someone to answer it.

'what do you want, y/n?' she says in an annoyed tone. you give her a dirty look, and you instantly reply. 'yunjin.. i'm sick of your stupid guitar playing every single night and it is SO annoying.' you state sternly, giving her a death stare now. 'jeez, calm down.' yunjin scoffs, 'and don't call me yunjin. call me jennifer, because you're not a stranger to me. but, you can moan mommy in bed and i won't really care..'

'what the.. moan? mommy?' you thought. you needed a quick and short reply and you had the perfect one.

'shut up.' you argued, 'can you just please lower your stupid guitar down? i haven't slept in about a week because of you, or even longer.'

'mmm.. fine. but only on one condition.' the red-head replied back, giggling afterwards.

'what is it..'

'you'll find out. later.'

'you're such a bitch, jennifer' you groan.

thursday, 4:20am read on your clock.

knock knock. who's that? you quickly go to answer the door, and you find yunjin standing there.

'it's you, isn't it.' you complained, trying to close the door on her.

'yeah, it is.' 'but this is what i want, and you promised me that you would do it, no matter what.'

'oh my gosh fine..' you hissed, and let her into your dorm.

she was trying her best to hold in her tears, but her girlfriend's silence was enough to confirm her suspicions.

seulgi let out a bitter laugh.

“answer me, y/n!” she shouted, grabbing y/n by her collar and slamming her against the wall.

the latter let out a grunt at the impact between her and the wall.

seulgi glared at the taller girl through her tears and spoke though her clenched teeth.

“do you love me?”

y/n took a deep breath and stared into seulgi's teary eyes.

“no,” she swallowed hard. “i don't love you anymore.”

the tears in seulgi's eyes began to run down her cheeks, and her hold on y/n's collar tightened.

“since when?” she asked, her voice shaky and cold.

“seulgi—”

“dammit, y/n, just answer my question!”

y/n sighed.

“since the Christmas party.”

a muffled sob escaped seulgi's mouth. her tears were rapidly streaming down her face, and her face was turning red because of furious she was with y/n.

“w—” her voice cracked. “why?”

“did you cheat on me?”

y/n rolled her eyes, causing seulgi pull away and clench her jaw.

“i don't owe you an explanation,” y/n replied, her cold tone cutting through the thick tension in the air.

betrayal and anger were evident in seulgi's expression. “so you're just going to throw all we had out the window? you're going to walk away and not even tell me?”

“i answered truthfully when you asked if i loved you. i have nothing else to say.”

seulgi took a deep breath and clenched her fists.

“i trusted you.”

“you trusted me?” y/n let out a bitter laugh. “oh, please. you never trusted me when i told you that you were the only one i would ever love!”

both girls stayed silent, the unspoken words and broken emotions lingered heavily in the air. eventually, seulgi's shoulders slumped in defeat as she realized that this was the final straw in their relationship.

“fine,” she whispered, her voice barely audible. “i hope she was worth it.”

y/n turned away from seulgi's hateful gaze, and began to head towards the front door. with each step she took, the echoes of their broken promises rang through the distance between them, a forever reminder of what they could've been.
