Relatedly, HOLY GOD, look at this. They made a marker showing exactly where they sat for the photo, so you can re-create it.

When people dig this shit up in 3,000 years, they are deadass going to believe we worshiped the Beatles as deities. And I’m not even sure they’ll be wrong.
Archaeologist 1: Metal buttprints?! What in the HELL?
Archaeologist 2: Ah yes. From the Bug Cult. Intended for ritual purposes.

I really don't understand where so much love for Olivia comes from. She could be very important to George and those things, but she does not have a life apart from having been George's wife, if you look at her without thinking about her marriage there is nothing, she only talks about him and only does things for him It seems her hobbies were so small that just by meeting a man she forgot them. I have no problem with women who decide to be mothers and housewives but it is not an example to follow
Ok I’m starting off this by saying the whole reason i began this blog is because when I get interested in things that are a bit male dominated I’m always curious to see where the women were or what type of influence they had because it’s normally more than people like to lead on. So it makes sense a lot of George fans have a lot of love for Olivia because she had a powerful influence on him, not just his personal life but his art as well. She was there with him in the studio, George went to to her for ideas and advice , and would run things past her. And I don’t think his self titled album would have had the sound it did without her influence, which I’m pretty sure he had said at some point.
Although to try to act like she hasn’t done anything besides being a wife is wrong. Let’s start with the the Romanian angel appeal, read this story from one of the children abandoned in Romania that she helped through her organization and still try to act like there’s nothing else to admire about her. She is clearly passionate about charity, they ensured a portion of profits from the Anthology went to charity and In the early 90s George and Olivia got involved in the Jubilee Campaign who were working to provide safe homes for victims of child trafficking in India. There’s also this:
Olivia is also a very spiritual person in her own right, even before she had met George. She has even said that the one she goes about it is different than George, and she still does meditation. Also if you look at her instagram it’s clear her life doesn’t revolve around George, she loves traveling, and doing her own thing.

"I fell for her immediately. She's been a calming influence on me" -George Harrison
"Olivia is an intelligent and strong woman" -Yoko Ono
"Olivia Harrison is a fucking cool chick" -Stella McCartney
"Well his dark sweet lady was the love of his life and I know how much he loved her, and a braver, finer, lovelier companion no man could ever find" -Eric Idle
"I remembered George couldn't stop talking about her after he met her" -Al Aronowitz
"When your parents are cool hippies, the only way to rebel is to get straight A's, do sports and enroll in a military school. That's what I did" -Dhani Harrison
"I was born in Los Angeles but my grandparents were born in Guanajuato. I haven't spent much time in Mexico, but it is really where my heart is. My sister is married to a beautiful Mexican artist from Tonalá and my mother is still alive, so I guess we are a normal Hispanic family, more than an American family I would say" -Olivia Harrison
"A slight, dark woman with a sculptured, almost Aztec face, she smiles often" -about Olivia
"He seemed so happy in those days, especially when he was with Olivia. I was surprised to see how affectionate he was with Olivia, holding hands, heads touching as they talked, snuggling up next to her at every opportunity" -Chris O'Dell
"You know something is going on when they're around but it isn't something George shoves down your throat. They are both very thoughtful, and she has a great sense of humour. She is a lovely woman, far from the Hollywood-model type, far too spiritual. The harmony between them is clear and apparent to anyone around them" -A friend on George and Olivia
