I've been working on a rp character blog lately and kinda been shut down by school. I'll go back to being more active on this blog soon, and probably change the url.

The night had approached more quickly than Tsubasa was hoping for, but the festivities weren't quite over just yet. After his wipe out and departure with the kind girl that had saved helped him out of the water, he had decided to take awhile and observe himself before moving forward to do anything else. Aside from the already-anticipated small scrapes and bruises, he had made it out of that mess just fine. He had taken the time to reapply his bandages after carelessly drenching the old ones and risking revealing what was underneath earlier on. A nice change into dry clothing was also in order, and the fox had even went as far as untie his hair for the night. 

Completely relaxed now, Tsubasa returned the fairly lively festival, giving all of the booths and people a once-over. "Um..."

The feeling of drowning and a misplaced sense of direction stripped away any chance of survival he had if he were left to fend for himself. His eyes shut tight as he tried to straighten himself and regain his balance. The world around him was dark and cold, the feeling loneliness carried a familiar warmth through it all, and as much as the odds were stacked against him, Tsubasa was determined to reach the surface. 

He shifted a bit just as he felt his wrist brush against something else. The shock of it all was enough to make him inhale more water, but instead his eyes shot open, taking in the blurry image before him. Someone was helping him. 

The moment his head broke the surface, Tsubasa broke into a violent coughing fit, managing to at least crawl onto the sand as he tried giving the burning sensation a moment to dull itself before moving again. The feeling of something rather soft landing on his head was odd, but he had hardly noticed. Turning to look at the girl who had save him, he'd flash a wavering smile and manage to bring himself to his feet. 

"Are you okay? Do you need to go to the medic’s tent…?"

He assessed himself carefully. Aside from his clash with the rocks, he felt fine. Nothing seemed to be fractured or broken, or bleeding even. Flushing a bit in embarrassment, he'd rub the back of his head. "I'm fine, actually... just some minor scrapes." his voice was strained in his attempts to hold back from coughing anymore than he already had. Shortly after he'd take a deep breath and capture the girl's hands into his own. "I am forever in your debt, Miss..." he trailed off. The least he could do was learn the name of the one who'd saved him. "I'm sorry, your name? I'm Tsubasa." 

Only then had he realized that he was holding her hands for a spell too long and he'd bashfully release them and turn his head. "A-anyway! Thank you." 

Staring at the ground for a moment would cause him to notice the doll. 'Was this... given to me?' Assuming that such was the case, he'd take the doll into his hand give a long gaze before tucking it away. "The least I could do is treat you to something. Anything you'd like!" A broad smile and happy, soaked tail swish would accompany his words.

Taking control of his board was a fairly simple task, and with the water slowly picking up strength, it was time that Tsubasa done so. A few quick paddling motions would move him forward into an oncoming wave as he turned and prepared himself for it to begin. In complete anticipation, his hands gripped the sides of his board and he pushed himself up into a standing position, ready to attempt riding the wave. 

He felt a cold, sticky substance slap and paste itself against his neck and back.

"Wait... what?"

No longer focused on keeping his balance atop the board at this point, the fox grabbed furiously at the offender. "What the hell IS THIS?" the board was wobbling beneath his constantly-shifting weight, and just as he had grabbed hold of and removed what he identified as sea weed, the wave had enough time to sneak up on him. It grew rather the large, and with Tsubasa taken by complete surprise, he was not prepared enough to regain his balance. Inevitably, he'd lose his balance and be flung forward from the wave, but that was the least of his worries. Aside from his now missing board and his current wave-less 15-feet-in-the-air, there were two rather large rocks that Tsubasa neglected to pay attention to, and he was on a crash course with them. His eyes widened and instincts had no choice but to take over. Shifting his balance on a board was one task on its own, but attempting in mid-air was an entirely different story. 

Trying to calm his head and bring his feet back beneath him proved semi-useful, with each foot landing directly against either rock. The pain shocked through his body immediately and he winced, caving in and falling forward into the water. The crash wasn't as bad as he had braced himself for, but in the heat of the moment the male lost his sense of direction beneath the water.

Finding his way throughout the small forest connecting Dunbarton and Port Ceann was hardly any trouble at all; there was all but a set path paved and cemented to lead the way. Still, stepping through to the other side could be compared to entering a new world, and the sunlight wasted not a moment of hesitation before beating down on Tsubasa. His forearm rose to his head to block the sun, and he pressed forward. "I seriously don't know why I agreed to anything like this..." the complaint was defeat-filled, as if he were dragged here by the legs. Although, thinking back on the incident that landed him here in the first place, he might as well have been physically forced.

Overcoming his mild irritation wasn't too much of an issue as the beach came into view and everything appeared so... tranquil. It honestly allowed for a spell of relaxation where Tsubasa would take a deep breath to come to terms with the fact that he's now stuck here. As customary, he'd scan over his surroundings looking for someone-- anyone that he could perhaps kill a little time with. The sooner this entire annoyance ended, the better. 

The sea caught his attention considerably quicker than anything else, even though it was strangely appealing to Tsubasa that more people were beginning to arrive. Deciding that he'd try surfing for a change, he paced over to a small shack to a small shack to grab a board. Finding one that suited his tastes was easy enough; it was a black board with orange floral designs. Tsubasa hardly even studied it before making the decision.

The process of lining up and getting into the water wasn't so bad. Taking into account that Tsubasa had never been on any type of board in his life, his calmness and confidence toward the situation was nearing concerning levels. The intense look on his face was softening, and he watched the waves and the creatures just beneath the surface carefully as he braced himself...
