Ending the day with some reading in bed. It's going to be hard work to compete against my students to see who can read more books this year, since many of them brought books to class and already have a major head start! Our goal is to each read 40 books by the end of the year, so that means getting started right now!

Pulled out the Taft Middle School yearbooks tonight since I thought it might be fun to let my students see what I looked like at their age. Quite a few teachers have mentioned to me that students often change quite a bit from 7th to 8th grade, and I guess I was no exception to that rule.
