Despite Kamino being their planet of origin and arguably their ❝ home ❞, many clones felt unease and even fear when visiting. This was due to the kaminoans and their insistence on treating the clones, the MEN who fought to ensure the safety and prosperity of their galaxy, as nothing more than products manufactured from an assembly line. And while it enraged the Jedi to no end, these beings were unfortunately the most equipped to handle such mass productions.  Seeing Cody standing before her, now holding the title of Marshall Commander and one of the very first clones, offered a joy that Ti found difficult to describe. Not many of his batch mates remained alive today, a fact that broke her heart. Even 99, an imperfect clone born early in the war who had never even seen a day of battle or war, was gone, having sacrificed his life to save his brothers when the Seperatists attempted to steal Jango Fett’s DNA. Kamino had never truly been the same without him. Truthfully, Ti still half expected to see him suddenly appear at her side, offering her that kind smile just as he always did.

          the  too - sterile  white  walls  of  kamino  still  send  a  tingle  of  unease  down  cody’s  spine,  even  after  all  his  years  away  from  that  horrid  place.  nothing  quite  replicates  the  feeling  of  being  under  constant  watch,  ever - vigilant  that  one  wrong  move  could  spell  the  end  of  the  line  for  an  unlucky  trooper.  cody  was  lucky :  as  one  of  the  original  batches  to  leave  its  walls,  the  cloners’  standards  for  what  made  the  perfect  soldier  had  been  lower  than  what  they  were  now  for  the  latest  to  be  decanted.  the  decommission  rate  for  his  year  had  been  nothing  compared  to  what  it  was  now.

          ever  since  general  ti  had  taken  to  overseeing  the  production  of  clones,  that  rate  had  dropped  significantly     -     and  cody  intended  to  capitalize  on  it.  an  idea  was  brewing  in  his  head,  and  had  been  for  some  time  if  he  were  being  honest  with  himself,  but  the  kaminoans  had  never  bothered  to  consider  it :  now  that  someone  a  little  more  merciful  was  taking  charge,  the  commander  thought  he  might  have  a  shot  at  finally  proposing  it.

          “general  ti.”  outwardly,  there  was  nothing  anyone  could  fault  with  the  commander’s  appearance :  he  had  taken  the  liberty  to  make  sure  he  looked  suitably  appropriate,  to  make  sure  he  looked  like  the  model  soldier  to  be  taken  as  seriously  as  possible.  this  had  to  go  through,  for  99′s  sake.  “if  i  could  spare  a  moment  of  your  time,  i  have  a  proposition  that  could  see  every  man  here  put  to  good  use.”
