The sign of Aquarius is traditionally represented by the Amphora. This is symbolized by an glass vase. Vases are first and foremost vessels for their contents, they have a clear purpose, but their appearance is often fanciful and intricate. When jostled, their contents usually spill out over the mouth of the vase.

The Hope aspect is represented by the Snowdrop. Snowdrops are the first flower of the year. When all is dull, barren, and gloomy these flowers bloom and signal the coming of spring. Often they pop up from the snow, hence their name. Because of this, they represent hope and a bright future to come. These flowers are also thermogenic, meaning they produce their own heat and are able to melt the surrounding snow with nothing but their own warmth.
