I haven’t gushed about the reboot for a sec so standby as I waffle abt how much I love TFA?? I grew up with SW, I’ve always enjoyed the series and always watched it whenever whenever I got the chance. My brothers had the old school cassettes and I’d steal the VCR and watch them in my room when I was little and I’d run around pretending our feather duster was a light saber.
TFA made me LOVE it though. The original & prequel trilogies were fun, but TFA pressed all the right buttons in my heart in ways I really can’t explain?? I straight up cry thinking about the new characters they’ve introduced and the new story they’re telling. I am filled to the absolute brim with love for each and every one of them. Rey in particular has spoken to me in such a profound way, a year and a half later I’m STILL shocked. It’s incredibly rare that I connect with a canon character on such a spiritual level. Every aspect of her resonates with me and I genuinely feel I’ve grown as a person in the time I’ve written her.
I’m so incredibly grateful I’m around to experience the hype and enjoy it with so many other fans across the world. I’m so glad that THIS is the fandom that has bright me the most incredible friends.
