PSA for water/milk jugs
Oya! Heads up for folks with hand/strength-related disabilities.
I've noticed that Garelick Farms half-gallon milk has a new design for their jugs. They call it "easy pour," but given that is removes the handle so you just have the width of the jug itself to hold, that seems more "hostile pour" to me.
I've also seen that Nature's Promise gallon water jugs have a similar no-handle "easy pour" design. I know my mom absolutely would not be able to handle that without making a mess, and I'm not overly confident in my own abilities.
Point is that if this is a trend that's going to catch on, folks might want to stock up on the handled jugs just in case.

We report while waiting for rain clouds that will not come: at least we saw the atmospheric pressure change, and the way it took everything down with it when it fell. We think the clouds got turned around when the wind went anticlockwise, somewhere off the coast.

Chapters: 10/10 Fandom: Borderlines Rating: Mature Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Characters: Ensemble Cast - BAN Additional Tags: Starfleet Marine Corps Series: Part 1 of Borderlines: Per Astra Per Terram Summary:
Even in the vaunted near-utopia of the Federation in the late 23rd century, there exists a need for those to be the sharp end of the spear as well as the shield. In Starfleet, primarily an exploratory and peacekeeping organization, this standing sharp end is represented by two entities that are always either holding the line or watching on the wall. The first is the Border Patrol, known as the Border Dogs.
The other is the Rapid Deployment Force of the Special Operations Command—Starfleet’s marines. Drawn from the ranks of Starfleet security, and rarely, other Starfleet disciplines, those who join and after a lot of sweat and tears, are molded into something else entirely with the distinctive green berets of light infantry. An entity that is forged in the idea that the ideals and principles of the Federation may have to be paid for in blood.
Hopefully paid for by those who wage war on those ideals, rather than their fellow citizens or the marines themselves.

Kinda horrified at all the people talking about using scratched up non-stick pans and not realising that Teflon and other coatings are so very carcinogenic. PFAS (carcinogenic forever chemicals) build up in your body like lead or mercury.

^ Don't fucking use this ^

I need young people and the older ones too apparently, to invest in at least one good thick based stainless steel pan. It's better for cooking and it won't give you cancer.
Stainless steel pan? You can scrub that shit with a steel scourer... If stuff won't come off? You can soak it in a laundry active oxygen cleaner for an hour or two and it will come right off, then rinse with clean water and you're golden. You want to whisk your eggs in the pan? Literally no downside, but in a non-stick pan you get CANCER flakes.

hey sorry not to be an asshole but I saw someone say that a sports team posting about pride month was "pandering" and I need you to log off and touch grass because now more than EVER it's important that large institutions (and especially those that could easily be right wing like sports teams) show the fuck up for queer and trans people. especially trans people. so no it is not "pandering" to take a stand for a marginalized group of people that are currently under attack for trying to play sports. be so fucking for real
#didn't the Seattle ad also say something about#'there's no openly gay players in MLB'?#so any closeted Rangers players at least get a taste of the fun#but yes also hooray for pettiness
