Summary:
Ted metaphorically gnaws on his nails while waiting to go into surgery; luckily for him, he’s not facing it alone.
I look at my little cat, sitting on my desk beside me
And say his name softly:
"Charlie. Hello, Charlie."
He perks up and presses his head forward
Looking for a nuzzle or pet or just to share scents
And I realize for one perfect moment
That for him, Charlie also means I love you.
Biden better plant some votes if he wants that election bc I don’t see it for that hoe at all….. he better go to them Illuminati meetings and pop some pussy otherwise it’s curtains for grandpa

Nature vs. Nurture. A cadet is given a different path.
If we're supposed to be reducing our plastic use to "save the environment" then how come it's getting more and more difficult (at least in my specific location) to find a block of presliced American cheese that isn't "individually wrapped"?
Also, while I understand that individually wrapped cheese can be of benefit to people with certain physical limitations, I also feel that trying to pry off the clingy plastic wrapping negates any benefit of having individualized slices. Butcher's paper (or something similar) would accomplish the same goal with less waste and less frustration.
Of course doing that would probably cost more money and wouldn't allow them to skimp on the amount of cheese per slice. From a corporate standpoint I understand the choices, but from a consumer one I just want my fake orange cheese for a sandwich, dammit.
I’d been eyeing this stunning design by @aleksibriclot for years, and a little while ago (after two years of working on it) I finally finished it! It has all the dark norse fantasy vibes that I wanted Ragnarok to be, and I figured hey, I can make it myself!
I had to up a lot of my leatherworking skills for this one, and I dove into a lot of new skills as well to try to make all the pieces a cohesive whole. It uses lambskin leather, suede cowhide, and veg tan, as well as an entire sheepskin for the cape!
This whole costume has truly been a labour of Loki love and I’m so glad I was able to share all the madness (process) and the finished look!
so a few days ago I saw this post, and the accompanying tags from @brrmian :
the idea of Cody being simultaneously so cool on the surface and constantly overanalysing every interaction stuck with me so much that I ended up spitting all my thoughts into existence
So we all basically agree that Cody has problems with the way Anakin goes about things.
But imagine him meeting Leia and seeing that same rebellious spirit, and it makes him sad in a way he didn’t realise he could feel. He always found Anakin irresponsible and careless, but now he sees that same attitude in his daughter, but it’s different because Leia only got the good parts. In Leia, he saw what Anakin could have been, and it makes him long for the past. He didn’t think he could miss the war, but he feels a painful kind of nostalgia he doesn’t really understand fully.
He feels that for himself, but he feels it for Obi Wan too. If he is identifying Anakin’s characteristics in his children, then he can’t fathom what it would be like for the man who raised him.
one of the reasons i love the murderbot diaries is how it doesnt flinch in trying to grapple with some of the Big Questions, such as "why is it that Humanity™ is the goal to strive towards for artificial intelligence if it wants to be acknowledged as a person?" and "What does it look like when someone is both undeniably a person but also unapologetically nonhuman?" and "what if the magic school bus had a gun"
Eyeball check! The kittens are 11 days old and except for Mosey their eyes are wide open! Mosey is taking his time with that left eye - when the time is right, it'll creak on open.
