Imo in order to finish your writing project you need to be unhealthily obsessed with your characters to a point where you question your sanity

“I’m a writer” I mumble to myself as I type “what defines a war crime” into the google search bar

found a note in my phone that says “a wizard but he’s deeply allergic to his own magic” and i think that’s art.

I assure you: somebody, somewhere, is on the exact same wavelength as you are.

Many writers have that fear. The reality is that many ideas have already been done in a way. However, they have not been written your way.

Your stories deserve to be written down as long as you want to do that work. Its never a waste of time. Even if you were to never do anything with it, it will have taught you something for the next idea your brain comes up with.

I'm scared that all of my thoughts aren't my thoughts. Not because I'm schizophrenic, but because way too many times I had a thought which I thought was brilliant, only to find out that someone had this idea years ago and used it in their artwork.

What if I'm writing a story which has been written before and I just wasted my time. But now I'm wasting my time thinking about that and doing nothing. Pls I need help.

sometimes writing isn’t about talent. sometimes it’s about sitting in your chair and suffering for 45 minutes until a single sentence crawls out of your skull
