We have a few different types of vampires on our site: the royals, purebloods and the turned. 

Thanks to a revolution, several thousands of years ago, most of the Royals had perished. A vampire council has taken place of the vampire dynasty and vampires are no longer feared like they used to be. However, the rebellion didn’t kill all the royals... Some of the vampires grow tired of not being able to taste human flesh so freely either. After all, vampires are much more than dogs with tails between their legs..
