I have seen so many Nicky the Hedgehog pictures, I thought I'd do a nerdy version of my Oc as well. I give you Opal, Nicky's sister. She works part-time at a cafe while also in highschool.

I'd thought I'd shed some lore on my Monster Hunter Hybrid Au:

(Takes place in the Sonic X Universe)

Sona: A Mizutsune-like creature who loves hanging out in the water a lot or chilling in open fields. Has similar powers to a Mizutsune, but instead of water beams it's chaos energy. She is very graceful and elegant, eloquent in both her words and actions, and doesn't enjoy the company of fools or degenerates. But is extremely shy around many people, especially in large crowds (which depends on her standard of what a degenerate is). She wears a choker with an eye pendant to hide her real look from regular Mobians or humans. Her cover look is a short female hedgehog with pale blue relaxed and bushy quills, silky full bangs, bright teal/golden eyes, puffy tan chest fur which overlaps most of her outfits, a medium leng fluffy tail, short and fluffy back quills, and black paws beans. She wear glasses most of the time while in public.

Sonic: A Tobi-Kadachi-like creature with the same abilities and agility as one. His electric powers can shift to Chaos energy as well. He mostly loves hanging out in forests or open terrain if he's not seen around Sona. Sonic is always looking for his next adventure or engorging himself on food, while hanging out with his two mutant/monster or regular Mobian friends. He wears a singular arm band on his left arm to hide his true look from regular Mobians or humans. His cover form in a medium height Hedgehog with deep blue fur and a fuzzy peach belly, bright green eyes, dark pink paw beans, long back spine, and a short tail.

Shadow: A Malzeno-like creature with incredible, yet devastating powers. Has powers just like a Malzeno and even the symbiotic little creatures too, only he's also capable of draining chaos energy from the surrounding area or people along with the life force. He has a similar personality to a Malzeno; he hates fools (aside from Sonic because he technically is trying to teach him), hates being in large crowds and if is in one he'll be seen in a far corner watching over his two mutant/monster friends. He both hates and likes his powers, only now accepting them after escaping the facility they were trapped in. He wears a large chest piece over his chest and shoulders to hide his true form, but somehow can keep his wings revealed as a cape. His cover form is a tall Hedgehog that is completely black with purple tinted red stripes on his limbs and long black quills, a long lashing tail, bright red orange eyes that always seemed to glow, and white paw beans.

All three hedgehogs were raised in a facility that wanted to combine Monster DNA from a different world with Mobian DNA from another planet to get super powerful animal soldiers. While the creatures succeeded in harnessing the DNA, they were given certain pieces of jewelry to hide their alternate forms from the public. Unfortunately for the members of the facility, the three hedgehogs matured at different speeds, the Malzeno being the fastest and the other two coming behind.

Once the Malzeno hybrid was old enough to live outside the tube, he was taken to a different section of the facility to be trained and studied. He became friends with a girl called Maria, who was the only one who treated him with respect and kindness. He saw her like a older sister and she taught him many things. It was through her he found out about the other two hybrids and would often sneak around just to see them.

The other two hybrids matured ten years later and were inseparable, so they had to be trained together as siblings. They rarely saw the Malzeno Hybrid much, but all three wanted freedom. Eventually though an accident in the facility, about five years after they were out the tube, with the Malzeno Hybrid allowed them the chance to escape, but they got separated from him and didn't see him til many years later.

(The hybrids were at least 9 months old once they could leave the tube)
