                                    Mastery Assignment
My expectations for the Business Plan Development class were secular and dependent upon business plans and business models. I initially believed that the class was going to be about solving the many problems entrepreneurs face when starting their new careers as business owners. I also looked forward to learning how to defeat the curse of going into debt as a first-time business owner. I learned through doing research like target market, the competition, and marketing plan and sales strategies. I also did a S.W.O.T. analysis on my company that I will be starting called Action Showbiz Production Company.
My insight, skill, and outcome changed during the program because, of the in-depth analysis, I’ve learned how to do because of the instructions given by the course director Mr. Steven Burhoe. Also, the course content helped by reading different books and viewing different YouTube videos of entrepreneurs and the many implementations they used to become successful in the field of business. One video that stands out is Spanxx owner Sarah Blakely. https://medium.com/better-marketing/10-marketing-lessons-from-sara-blakely-6ad1a9ce1949 Sara explained the many obstacles she overcame by being innovative with her marketing plans.
What I learned from this class is it’s not just what you learn from the books but how your dedication to success could empower you as a businessperson by going above and beyond the call of duty to push yourself ahead of the competition. Research is key to having a great business. I also learned that , you can be successful by putting together great business plans to present to investors, because there are people that help you with capital but, if you have a mediocre business plan or no business plan, your company will fail to raise enough money to turn a profit in the first year and endure the first year of investments.
I will continue to educate myself on business plans, business models, and business analysis, so that I won’t lose my zeal for having my own successful business. I will also continue to work hard on building ideas to obtain enough capital to make my bossiness as successful as any other successful businesses.

The use of AI in the entertainment industry is very impactful and continues to make its presence felt in various creative formats. AI-powered video editing software can help editors create stunning visual effects, while AI-powered music composition tools can help composers create intricate melodies and harmonies with ease, according to, (saini, 2023). As a music producer and engineer I wanted to experience creating a song or music using the AI algorithm. I started with BEATBOT, which is an AI platform that composes songs for you, by just using a few words that describes the song you’re trying to compose. With BEATBOT I was able to not only have the application create a whole song but, there was a way to edit the parts of the song that I didn’t like, which I could tailor to my own word choice. The second AI generated platform I used was MUBERT, which was a beat generated AI application that was used by attaching a genre, to moods, themes, instruments and BPM’s etc. to compose a beat algorithm of your choice. Although I didn’t like the product of the beat making algorithm the song writing algorithm was somewhat helpful in guiding to writing hooks, bridges, and choruses for my song.
Should we prepare for the trend of robotic algorithms leading us to the dancefloor in the clubs, and other forms of entertainment including, movies, dance and sports?
AI is being used in various forms of entertainment, including film, television, music, gaming, virtual reality, and social media. For example, AI algorithms can be used to generate new forms of content, such as virtual reality experiences, interactive video games, and personalized news articles, according to (Gupta, 2023). As a result. of the trending topics of AI that’s being discussed at tea shops, technology conventions, technological institutions, and technological universities, let’s look inside the AI product, that’s effecting society as a whole and what’s the need for AI. (1) Content Creation - AI algorithms can be used to generate virtual reality experiences, VR games, and even magazine articles. AI can also be used to for human creative functions like, video editing, sound fx, and other special fx. (2) Audience engagement - This can help the larger media companies with algorithms to innovate content that reinvigorates their audience to engage more assertively. (3) Distribution - AI can be used to enhance distribution of content on various platforms such as television broadcast, social media, and streaming services, to innovate promotion strategies.
Furthermore, let’s look at some other innovative ways AI has transcended the entertainment industry. In the real world and beyond AI is really transforming the entertainment algorithm. For example, (1) Scripts - a script analysis tool can be used by film studios to predict success commercially of screenplays. The tool analyzes the script’s characters, themes, and plot points and then compares this data to the performance of similar films in the past to predict box office success according to, (LeewayHertz, 2023). (2) AIVA - (Artificial Intelligence Virtual Artist) which is an artificial tool to create original music based on user preferences, like BEATBOT, which can be used in films, video games, TV Shows, and for social media. (3) Deep Motion - Deep Motion is an animation tool that can be used for 3-D animation purposes. The machine uses algorithms to simulate movement and behavior, allowing realistic and natural looking animations. (4) Ziva Dynamics – A software toolfor creating realistic characters for films and video games. The machine learnt algorithm stimulates the movement of muscle and skin, which inoculates detailed characters.
Next, let’s look at the importance of EQ vs AI. While the world becomes more and more dependent upon automation and AI -- make no mistake, AI already exists albeit with significant support from humans -- global society will need to consider the importance of emotional intelligence in the modern workforce. As the world places more emphasis on the development of technology, and particularly AI and automation, it is important that we also place a corresponding emphasis on developing EQ. This starts with education, and it starts at a young age according to, (MindSpark, 2023). This demonstrates a need not only for an alternative for human intelligence but also emphasizes the need for more emotional intelligence to control the algorithms of AI and the forceable intelligence to combat the enhancement of the AI technology. If in-fact AI becomes more and more in demand the need for EQ and IQ will be needed to also keep up with the repair of the technology. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is evolving and being released for public use faster than its developers can add essential safeguards in many cases according to, (samgraboys, 2023).
In closing, we must pay attention not only to the algorithm of the successes of AI but also to the signs of hindrance and negative effects it could cause to the culture. In many ways we look forward to the new and innovative way to push the culture forward and for the most part society have done a great job controlling the uses of the technological force that controls the dopamine’s we exude. But, the concerns that are spewed in the news about AI needs to be taken into account as we come into this new age of automation. AI helps cybercriminals automate attacks, scan attack surfaces, and generate content that resonates with various geographic regions and demographics, allowing them to target a broader range of potential victims across different countries according to, (Patterson, 2023). Also, Unrestrained by ethics or law, cybercriminals are racing to use AI to find innovative new hacks, says Recorded Future CEO Christopher Ahlberg, according to (Patterson, 2023). In many cases we don’t pay close enough attention to the hazard signs until it’s too late, but it seems as if we have an idea of what to look forward to regarding AI cyber-attacks and the security that needs to be in-tact to avoid said attacks. So, with everything that’s been pondered upon. I would say we should look forward to the futuristic AI I trend and brace for its enormous futuristic impact.

                                             Mastery Journal
This is a post regarding my time spent in, Instructor Charlton’s Legal Issue in Sports; In this class I learned a lot about tort regarding contracts and branding. Regarding branding for athletes there is a lot that goes into their personals. Of course, there’re are issues face regarding just how much of their likeness could be used on the internet before they can file a tort claim regarding defamation, privacy, or even reckless misconduct during a game. And of course, in some instances teams could be sued for official misconduct regarding athletes. For example, according to (Weiszer, 2023) Attorneys representing the father of Georgia football offensive lineman Devin Willock, who was killed in an early morning crash after a national championship celebration, notified the university he will be seeking $2 million in a civil lawsuit.
In other instances, our class focused on contract negotiation. In this segment of the class, we dealt with different scenarios for athlete’s and coaches. In one scenario we were asked to put a proposal together. The proposal was a four-year contract negotiated for a rookie running back that was the No. 1 pick in. 2023. This deal included $38.2 million over four years and a signing bonus of $24.83 million. The second scenario concluded with an endorsement deal for a football player. The details included one year’s supply of Monster Products for three years. For the first year the player would be paid $50,000, the second year $75,000 and the third year $100,000, alongside other expenses.
For another segment of the class, we dealt with intellectual property law. As a result of a expansion team we had to use a scenario where we did a marketing campaign using various social media platforms. As coordinators of this event, we had to make sure we garnered licenses agreements to use the likeness of various stadiums and players. We also had to get waivers signed to use people’s likeness on our website for the event. Also, another factor that came into play was the sponsors of the event. We had to make sure we knew what law could be enforced if certain sponsors tried to make special appearances endorsing their products without permission from the host.
All in all this class dealt with tort law and the rights of sport entertainers and their agents.

Sports Management and Operations (Instructor Eric Bartels)
Sports management and operations was a course that I was very excited to start. As an entertainment business management student, I’m very intrigued about learning different aspects of the entertainment business. In this course we studied how sports organizations differed from other businesses and some of the best practices for leading and managing sports organizations. I believe I garnered an adequate amount of knowledge moving forward that will grant me a chance to become successful in the realm of sports management.
As a sports manager or executive there is a plethora of help needed to have a team to perform at a high level. And as a takeaway that’s one of the main segments I played close attention to. From the CEO to the Executive Advisor to the CEO, to the Director of Security, and everything in between, a sports team needs to have every T crossed And Every I dotted to be considered successful. Also, the fan interaction is something important as a cumulative effort to managing a sports team’s success.
If there was something I would have focused on more throughout this class, it would have been the attribute of NIL in collegiate sports. According to, (Tucker, 2022) Sept. 30, 2019: “California becomes the first state to pass a law allowing college athletes to be paid for use of their names, images and likenesses (NIL).” This very impactful in today’s sports because not only are the student athlete’s representing the college brand but, they are also building a brand of their own before they reach the professional level, which leads to security purposes for the colleges and many other different aspects that dignifies popularity.
As a student of this class, I feel there is an opportunity for me to become a part of my favorite sports team’s success by the knowledge I’ve absorbed. Before doing my research on the Philadelphia 76ers I thought there were a few jobs that would interest employers as an entertainment business manager, but as it seems I have a lot of developmental skills that can be utilized by several sports teams to engage in success. I’m going to put resumes together tailored around the knowledge I’ve sustained throughout this class.
I believe moving forward I can be very informative in the interview process as to what I can do for a sports team’s success moving forward. For example, I came up with some pretty good ideas when I was studying the marketing aspect for the new NBA team coming to Las Vegas. The ideas that I researched and was informed of through the reading materials and videos gave me clear ideas of the future. So, I’m going to continue and build on these ideas moving forward and use them in my interviews and on my resumes.

3.3 Assignment: Journal Reflection
One of my objectives in life is to garner knowledge about the entertainment management side of the business. As a graduate student at Full Sail University. I want to adequately improve my relevance in the entertainment industry so, I’m trying to garner all the tools in my toolbox to be a successful entertainer or manager inside of the entertainment industry. These tools include the classes I’ve taken previously alongside my class that I’m currently taking which is, Negotiating and Deal Making.
Negotiating and Deal Making taught me a lot thus far. I had a lot of reading and studying to do for this class. First, I started out with a book named “The Leaders Guide to Negotiating” by Simon Horton. Second, I read a named Understanding Body Language. Both books were informative about the enhancement of deal making and the constructive ways to be appealing to others when trying to bargain and strike a deal.
Next, I would say, the correlation of these books, was about bargaining positions and underlying interest, and how to best achieve success with these goals. The bargaining position was explained as, the substantial demands that’s stated in a negotiation. The underlying interest was explained as the cerebrate side of the negotiation.
Also, during this class, I was introduced to common contractual provisions and clauses. In which, (Neco, 2011) discussed the “Provisions for a breach or violation”, of a contract. Secondly, we saw various mock videos, some virtual and another video that was performed by actresses, that taught us what to expect in a real deal negotiation. These videos were to enlighten the students about, bargaining positions, underlying positions, mutual benefits, neutral criteria, BATNA, communication styles, and negative emotions. All these adjectives are displays of the required learning segments for this class. Up until now, I have learned all of the above and hoping to garner more in the weeks coming.
