-The Psychedelic Visual Art of Terence LoveThese drawings are created with little or no preconceived outcome in mind. I let the image evolve spontaneously as I draw until it looks and feels complete. Some deliberate attempt is made throughout to make it appear intruiging to the eye and balanced on the page using perspective, shading, or favorite recurring themes. But by avoiding setting conscious intent on an outcome from the start - and throughout much of the process - this can allow deeper realms of consciousness an outlet thru which to create that final image. I describe the work as "psychedelic" in genre because the process of spontaneous drawing accompanied by music can be like a meditative state that brings about a kind of psychedelic experience conducive to allowing an image to manifest on paper that's a snapshot of the inner world.
