Open Call Documentary Filmmakers enter your projects! Deadline: Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 11:59pm (EST) This summer, New York's most diverse borough, Queens, New York, will become home to world class photojournalism and documentary film. PhotoWalk is excited to announce an open call for documentary short films (15 min max) for a unique merit-based opportunity to have work exhibited during a one-night film festival celebrating the power of visual reportage. THEME Look. Listen. Learn. This curated exhibition is open for all areas of interest to submit your best stories created in the past two years or first published in 2017. From traditional to experimental, all documentary work is welcome! Particular preference will be given to works on underreported or in-depth projects with a strong news peg. INSTRUCTIONS -Limit 2 entries per person. -Read everything very carefully and answer every section completely. -It is recommended you write up a summary of your project before sitting down to enter, as it will help you complete the process quicker. -Upload your films to YouTube, Vimeo or elsewhere (private links are okay as well) in order to share with us. -All films will require a summary of the story. This entire website is amazing! I've been lost in it for hours and am loving it. So many great ideas and methods for storyboarding broken down. Opening are paramount to a good project on the web. Movie allow for slow builds, but not the web, gotta charge out the gates.
