Montana-born Shane Bitney Crone is an activist, speaker, writer, and filmmaker. In 2011 his partner, Tom Bridegroom, died in a tragic accident. Shane suffered terrible injustice in the aftermath of Tom’s death, which prompted him to create a YouTube video entitled “It Could Happen to You.” The video ultimately went viral and garnered over four million views. Shane soon found himself at the front lines of the fight for marriage equality, working with organizations such as GLAAD and the Human Rights Campaign. He eventually teamed up with director Linda Bloodworth Thomason to produce a full-length documentary about his experiences called Bridegroom: A Love Story, Unequaled, which releases in the fall of 2013. OUT Magazine recently released their annual list of the 100 most compelling LGBT people of the year. I am so proud of all the people on this list but wanted to highlight some of the honorees who have deeply inspired me. --------------------------------------------------- From left to right. --------------------------------------------------- 1. Subhi Nahas: an advocate for LGBT refugees, who fled his ISIS-controlled hometown in Syria and became a voice for the international LGBT movement. 2. Sarah Kate Ellis: President and CEO of GLAAD, who appeared on the 2013 cover of TIME magazine, kissing her wife. She advocates for marriage equality and uses her bravery, heart, and passion to spearhead GLAAD's efforts to achieve full equality. 3. Hannah Hart: a YouTube star, who uses her platform not only to entertain her millions of followers but also, through her comedic and influential voice, to inspire people to be proud of who they are and to live authentic lives. 4. Raymond Braun: named one of Forbes "30 under 30." As a former Google employee, he launched groundbreaking LGBT themed viral campaigns. He now works with the biggest human rights organizations to effectively use new media to create social change. 5. Joe Zee: current Editor-in-Chief of Yahoo style. Zee became the first gay Asian man to host a national daytime talk show, FABlife, which currently airs on ABC. He recently released a best-selling memoir titled "That's What Fashion Is." Check it out-it's FABulous! 6. Alex Newell: played the trailblazing role of transgender teen Wade on the hit TV show GLEE. His phenomenal voice was featured on the show and he continues to perform at LGBT events all over the world. --------------------------------------------------- I encourage you to visit OUT.com to learn more about all of the individuals selected for this honor! #OUT100

A lot of you have asked for my schedule, so I put together a list that includes my travels for the next few months. Please keep in mind that dates are subject to change and some events are private. Some organizations and universities allow the general public to attend but you'll have to contact the individual locations for more information. 😊 --------------------------------------------------- If you are interested in having me come speak and/or screen #BridegroomMovie at your school or in your town, please visit www.WolfmanProductions.com or message [email protected]. --------------------------------------------------- Thank you for your continued love and support and for joining me on this journey!

I am proud to announce that Bridegroom has been added to Netflix in Australia, New Zealand, and France! I hope this will help the marriage equality movement in Australia, since Prime Minister Tony Abbott's Coalition party has said that it will block any attempts at marriage equality while he is in office. --------------------------------------------------- It's mind boggling that despite having been on #Netflix for almost two years, #Bridegroom continues to be one of the most popular and highest-rated documentaries on the streaming service. Thank you to all of you who have watched and who continue to stand for equal rights. 💙 #EqualLoveEqualRights #TapTapTap #LoveWins #LoveIsLouder

Here's another photo taken by my talented friend, @HKcameraface from our shoot in Montana! 📷🌲 Just 10 seconds after this photo was taken a GIANT spider crawled across my chest. 🙈 Thankfully, I survived to tell the story and share this photo. 😜

This is Kim Davis, the county clerk in Kentucky who is illegally denying LGBT couples marriage licenses. She said, "This isn't a gay or lesbian issue. It's about heaven or hell." A gay couple, who had been together for 17 years, asked under what authority she had the right to deny them a marriage license. She replied, "under the authority of God." This isn't the first time government employees have gone against the recent Supreme Court ruling in favor of marriage equality. Today I'm grateful for social media because it allows us to band together and shine light on injustices like this. Join me in supporting the loving and committed couples in Kentucky who are legally entitled to a marriage certificate. Learn more at HRC.org. #EqualLoveEqualRights #LoveConquersHate

I believe we accept the love we THINK we deserve. Refuse to accept anything less than extraordinary--you're worthy of only the best! ❤️

Inspiring words..
Lupita Nyong’o @ 1:30- “The one force that is stronger than hate, the force that always wins is Love.”
Linda Bloodworth Thomason @ 4:20- “Show them that there is no difference, that love is love… Dont settle for the absence of opposition as your final goal, You deserve to be celebrated not just be tolerated. So keep going and keep shining.”
Shane Bitney Crone @ 5:19- “Most of my life I dreamt about falling inlove and getting married but my peers and the bible convince me that I wasnt worthy of another person’s love. In highschool, I was depressed and lonely and I contemplated suicide often but Im so thankful that I didnt give up because I met the love of my life, Tom Bridegroom. @6:10- “Our love does not born to fear, judgement, imprisonment or death. We must continue sharing our stories because they can open hearts and minds, it will change laws and they will even save lives. Every one deserves the freedom to marry. No one should have to wait.”

Happy National Dog Day! Justin has been there with me through some of my darkest hours and has brought so much joy into my life. I can't imagine life without the little cuddle monster. I don't see him as often as I'd like because of my travel schedule, but luckily he's in good hands with Grandma Cindy. 😉❤️🐶 #NationalDogDay
