Beneath the often-overcast skies of Indonesia, between stacks of law books heavier than her own conviction, Shaninette Eloise walks with an effortless stride—even when her mind is anything but light. She never truly felt certain about this path, yet here she is, tangled in statutes and doctrines that sometimes feel more like illusions than truths. If someone asked why she chose this, she would simply chuckle pathetically and say, “It’s not that I don’t want to understand it. But who knew our country would turn out this bad?”

Born into a family draped in glamour and aesthetics, Shanin chose a road that was quieter, messier, and louder in its own way. Her mother, a fashion designer whose hands weave beauty; her father, a model who walks with effortless grace under the spotlight. From the start, they offered her the same path—cameras, runways, a life meticulously curated to look flawless. But Shanin? She preferred the background. Their world was fun to visit, thrilling even, but never somewhere she wanted to stay. That's why she choses law school.
