Got so mad at my game last night so i drew Dick with little jaybins on his shoulders. (the catch is they both encourage him to kill the joker)

Ik Jason was a really good kid. That part matters — a lot. He was smart, driven, probably made honor roll. He loved being Robin. For him, Robin was magic — a chance to help people. He wanted to, and did, do a lot of good.

But I also think it's important to remember he was still a teenager. Teenagers do stupid shit. Jason wasn't an exception to that — and he shouldn't have to be. He made rash decisions, and went against Batman’s moral code in the comics. And so have all the other Robins. The difference is, they got to grow out of it; Jason didn’t.

We flatten Jason’s character when we reduce him to just the "angry Robin," but we’re also flattening him when we swing too far the other way — turning him into a perfect martyr. He was a kid with good intentions, a big heart, and a short fuse.

Jason should be allowed to be complex. He should be allowed to be wrong, to make mistakes, to be reckless and still be good.

It kinda makes me think... since Jason and Dick are the two oldest, they're automatically the duo that can push each other's buttons the most. (I would know, I have the same dynamic with my older brother).

But ofc Jaybin wouldn't be able to do that. Yeah, they prolly joke but still having certain boundaries they won't cross.

But imagine Jason after coming back, all 6ft something double fridge sized build, just thought one day "Oh hey, I'm big as shit now I could prolly tank most of his hits" and decided from that day onwards to be the biggest little shit to Dick.

It's like a switch changed. now you could be chilling somewhere and outta nowhere two big ass dudes roll past you on the floor arguing and shit talking each other like teenagers. They punt each other with enough force to knock the lights outta somebody, yet they both weirdly enjoy the fuck out of it.

Posts of Nightwing and Red Hood going from verbally assaulting each other to straight up beating the shit outta each other has gone viral one too many times. And Bruce can't really do anything about it cuz well, at least they're getting along some way.

Recently, Jason's eulogy from the actual priest had resurfaced on Twitter again, and I had been restless ever since then. My Roman Empire, if anything.

Tim is drenched to the bones, he just wants to get home so he can dry, but his brother is having a tantrum. The boy is tired.

Barbara is showing, once again, that she is able to understand how Bruce's mind works and not take his behavior personally, while Dick cannot, even tho he is closer to Bruce and told Tim Bruce was going to be like this.

I really doesn't like the "Gotham has changed" bs because wtf are they (the writers) trying to say? A kid killed its parents while Bruce lost his parents to murder, that's two different situation, it doesn't mean that now Gotham brew murderous children instead of children that put their parents on a pedestal.

This whole story is interesting, because it shows how much Bruce cares about children, how much he loves children. He cannot imagine that a child could have killed their parents, even with the proofs in front of him, he refuses to accept it. Which is similar to how he refused to believe Cass had killed someone as a child. Children are not criminals for Bruce, they cannot do crimes. It always takes him a lot of time to accept that a child committed a murder. In the end, he still doesn't call the kid a criminal, he sees him as a hurt child that needs help and guidance, not a criminal (and Bruce already shows compassion to adult criminals), not a vilain. Which is why it is SO FRUSTRATING when DC writers threw away Bruce being incapable of seeing children as evil when they want to treat Jason like shit.

Also, I cannot stop thinking about how the fandom portrays Dick and Bruce versus this story, where Bruce is the one that cannot accept that a kid has done a crime, while Dick is like "STOP BONDING WITH THE MURDERER THAT IS A CHILD!"

babs!!! i love experimenting with her hairstyles and different clothing. i prefer to put her in comfy, looser clothing, like sweaters, cardigans, skirts—not canon styles because i can’t imagine, speaking as someone who has bad leg days, that she would put on pants, let alone JEANS. that’s just me though she looks good in anything she wears, pants included.
