           Attention was basically what mini Rin wanted, nothing else was needed. With Haru's attention placed on him he was satisfied. Although, he would not mind something to eat also. Perhaps something other than mackerel. He began pointing at his stomach rapidly, then gazing back at Haru, hoping he'll understand what he was trying to say.

Pulling the miniature Rin closer, the male rises back to his full height. “It’s nice to see you’re okay.” Haruka offers when the other says his name. The dolphin manages a small smile, looking somewhat amused.

"Did you need anything from me, besides attention?"

          The small being doesn't waste his time latching onto the other's fingers, hugging them with all of his strength. His cheeks rub against the male's fingers, showing his affection. "Haru", he squeaked.

"Ah."

"…" Haruka kneels beside the little shark, watching him bounce. After a moment, he finally holds out an empty hand for the redhead to latch on to. "…It’s been a while."

          Mini Rin jumped up and down, because he craved attention. After being gone for so long he wanted some lovin' from the people he cared about and strangers.

Mun-san, you're back!! I missed you!! What have you been up to lately??

ooc;; Yep, I’m back. I’ve been so busy with school stuff, college applications, and other blogs. I’m glad I’m back on this blog. MIni-Rin is a really fun muse to roleplay.

I haven’t been doing much as of late. I’m passing all of my classes. About a month ago I got accepted into my college of choice and I was given a scholarship that would pay for at least half of all the expenses, which my dad is very happy about. Ah, for Christmas I got lots of new electronics (more to laze around).

All in all everything is going well for me.

          Curious optics gazed at the times offered to him. He's seen lots of people wear such items, and he wasn't sure why. With the words of Haru he was able to deduce what the items were for and what they are. He appreciated the gesture, but mini Rin is sure that he can handle a little cold the upcoming season will bring. Crossing his arms over his chest, he puffed out his chest in pride. A little grunt escaped him, telling Haru that he's find without the knitted gloves, scarf, and hat.

Lightly strokes the little shark's head absentmindedly.

          Rin leaned into the dolphin's touch, thoroughly enjoying it. He's not sure why, but spending time with Haru has always made him feel safe and happy. Perhaps it's the calming aura that surrounded him, or maybe it's the food he gave to mini Rin.

Friendly reminder that writing smut with someone under the age of 18 is illegal and you can absolutely get into legal trouble for doing so, even if the person is of the age of consent in their state/country. Writing sexually explicit material with a minor will never be worth potentially ruining your life. Please wait until they are at least 18 or fade to black.

Please never lie about your age to your RP partner. Even if you’ve told them you are 18 and write smut with them, they can still get in trouble if you are not, despite what they thought. The rules of sexting apply to writing smut. Please be mindful and think about your future and the future of others.

I totally get that a lot of people aren’t comfortable smutting with minors- and that is more than fine, and very logical in and of itself- but this concept that smut with a minor has the power to ruin your life seems to be quite a myth that has almost blown out of proportion into hysteria.

Be logical, do some research. I know very little about law- but from the research I’ve done, as far as I can tell, you can’t go to jail for smut with a minor, or be written up for sexual offense. These things vary from state to state- so please do look up what is specific to you, but in almost all states that I’ve looked up, writing smut doesn’t constitute under any sexual violation laws. 

Child pornography laws: These laws only come into play if images are being taken/recorded/exchanged. These don’t at all relate to smut, no matter what state you are living in. 

Statuatory rape: every state has different laws addressing this, and only five specifically have “Statuatory rape” as an offense of its own. But in the case of more or less all states, this law (or whatever term it may fall under for voluntary sexual relations with a minor) ONLY applies with actual physical intercourse or sexual relations. 

Sexting: because the OP specifically mentions that this falls under the same category as “sexting” in the law- I am here to tell you that is straight up false. Sexting, as it happens as far as i can tell, by definition of the law, can only land you in jail if- "if you are 18 years of age and you record, film, photograph, develop or duplicate, distribute, transport, exhibit, receive, sell, purchase, electronically transmit, possess, or exchange any visual depiction in which a minor is involved in exploitative exhibition or other sexual conduct” Sexting laws fall under the category of child pornography, not statutory rape, as many would assume.  

A few state examples: 

California-  Statutory rape in California is only considered physical- i.e. Penetration, oral copulation, and  sodonomy. 

Florida-   Florida does not have a statutory rape of its own, and charges of Statutory rape fall under the category of sexual battery- ie. definitely only applies if physical contact is involved. 

New York- With no specific statutory rape laws, the closest offense you could report for would be “Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child” in the first or second degree. First degree only constitutes if there are at least two accounts of physical penetration or oral copulation, so you’re in the clear there.  I’ll be straight with you, smut could constitute under second degree in New York- BUT, only if the minor is under the age of 13, and I personally haven’t encountered any 13 year olds smutting on tumblr,  so as long as they’re 14 or over, you’re in the clear. 

So please, don’t go around ringing your hands if you’re smutting with a minor, or a minor smutting with someone over 18- no one is getting sent to jail. 

THAT BEING SAID- if someone over 18 still doesn’t want to smut with you as a minor, don’t pester them about it, it’s their choice and it’s reasonable.
