What are some good ways to be involved in fandom without reading or writing fic? I've been involved in a few fandoms, always primarily as a fic reader and writer. Recently, however, I've been really interested in K-pop, and while I know there is a big fandom for it that includes plenty of RPF, I'm not exactly comfortable with reading or writing it, at least not yet. How can I stay involved in fandom, while not interacting with the fic? I've been feeling like a "bad fan" recently, because of this

First of all, the only "bad fans" are ones who harass other people. You're totally fine.

Now as to your actual question, there are lots of things that you can do without reading or writing fic. I'll start a list and we'll see what other ideas people add on.

Create fanart. Even without drawing skills, you can use tools like Canva to create moodboards or aesthetics for different songs or albums or band members.

Create your own playlist and share it. A list of your favourite songs or songs for a particular mood or songs you listen to while cleaning your house etc.

Organize a fandom event, like arranging for a birthday card for a band member or a group watch of a streaming concert or interview.

If you're multilingual, consider translating interviews into another language so that more fans can know what was said.

Make gifsets and share them out.

Like and reblog/retweet any of the above things and support your fellow fans in these kinds of endeavors too.
