Well hello little humans! I wanted to start a studyblr for ages and I think it’s the right time to do it. As you can see, I’m new around here, even though this account was open since February, and I want to become a part of this community! Let me introduce myself.

Name’s Eddy. Not really actually, it’s my nickname but call me Eddy.

I’m 14 years and 10 months old (gonna be 15 in January) and I’m a high school freshmen. Still a little baby.

I’m from Turkey and my English level may not be as good as yours. Would love someone to correct my mistakes.

I love learning new languages, but for now I can only speak English, Geman, Turkish (of course) and know a little bit French to. Main goal is Spanish.

You can understand what my favourite subject is by looking at my username. I really love chemistry and I don’t think any other subject will take its place. Oh, and least favourite subject is probably biology. 

I’m an aural learner and my brain will memorize every song I listen to.

Hey! My name is Kamryn!

For the past month I have been lurking (wow, that sounds creepy) around the studyblr community; I followed blogs, I reblogged posts, and I liked posts. It’s currently summer vacation, but I feel so motivated at the moment and it’s amazing. So, I decided to make my own studyblr (as a side blog; my main blog is @uprights) to join this exceptional community! 

I plan on ordering a bullet journal and a few other essentials through Amazon in the coming weeks, and I couldn’t be more excited. 

ABOUT ME

I’m going to be a senior in high school this fall and the closer the first day of school gets, the more nervous I become. 

I’m a straight-A student, but sometimes I feel like I haven’t done enough to earn my grades; I didn’t study enough, I didn’t try hard enough, I procrastinated too much, I was distracted too much, and so on.

My extracurricular activities aren’t much, but I am the football manager and basketball manager, and I’m part of the yearbook and school newspaper staff. My work experience consists of babysitting my siblings every summer, which isn’t exactly the best thing to put on a college application, but I’m thinking about getting a job writing for the local newspaper this year. Something that I really regret is not volunteering, at all, throughout my entire time in high school; it allowed me to be more focused on schoolwork, but I still regret it. Plus, that’s definitely not going to look good on my college applications. However, I do plan on completing 200 hours of volunteer work throughout the school year, so that I can get the service cord at graduation.

I’m taking the ACT for the third, and final, time on October 22, 2016. 

I’m not going to disclose my exact location, but I do live in the Midwest of the United States. 

My dream school is Florida State University, and it’s 1,200 miles away from everyone and everything I’ve ever known, which absolutely terrifies me. The other two schools that take up my top three are the University of Minnesota and the University of Iowa. They’re not Ivy League schools, but they are schools that are the best for me, and that’s what matters the most.

When I go to college, I want to major in Sport Management and Journalism. For those of you that don’t know, Sport Management is basically the business side of sports; such as, marketing, sales, business analytics, public relations, etc. I’m a huge sports fan, so it’s perfect for me.

Sadly, my school doesn’t offer AP courses, but, if they did, I would have taken every single one that was available to me. However, my school does offer college-level courses and a bus takes a group of us over to the college during the afternoons. 

My senior year schedule is: 

American History 

Spanish IV 

Pre-Calc 

Physics 

Writing Applications (independently) 

Computer Layout/Design (independently) 

Music Appreciation (college) - 1st semester 

Environmental Science (college) - 1st semester 

Human Relations in Management (college) - 1st semester 

U.S. History (college) - 2nd semester 

Macroeconomics (college) - 2nd semester 

Intro to Business (college) - 2nd semester 

Last year my college courses were Composition I, Composition II, Fundamentals of Oral Communications, Intro to Psychology, Social Problems, and Sociology.

WHAT I WANT TO LEARN

I want to learn new and improved study techniques that will prepare me for college. If I’m being honest, I’m not sure I’m ready. I suck when it comes to studying.

I want to improve my handwriting.

I want to learn how to procrastinate less/become more motivated.

I want to learn how to bullet journal.

I want to learn how to mind map.

I want to learn how to be more organized.

I want to learn how to make my college applications perfect; more specifically, how to make them perfect when I’m lacking work experience and volunteer hours.

Most of all, though, I just want to learn. I want to learn about this world and the universe. I want to learn about diversity and racism and white privilege. I want to learn more about science and how things work. I want to learn to love math because, right now, I really don’t like it. I want to learn more about not only the history of the United States, but the history of the world. I want to learn about the economy and politics, and how the heck Donald Trump managed to make it this far. I just want to learn; I want to learn from all of you.

I didn’t want this to end up super long, but it did anyway. Oops.

I like drinking coffee alone, and reading alone. I like riding the bus alone, and walking home alone. I like eating alone, and listening to music alone. It gives me time to think, and set my mind free. But when I see a mother with her child, a girl with her lover, or a friend laughing with their best friend, I realize that even though I like being alone, I don’t fancy being lonely. The sky is beautiful, but the people are sad. I just need someone who won’t run away.
