The Full Changelog can be Seen Here
Minetest, the Minecraft-like voxel game engine (and an uncomplicated game that comes with it) comes with a new release out with Minetest 5.4.0 and it's worth trying again.
As we have already stated during the Release Candidate stage of the release, this release makes it much easier to momod small mod packs as well as whole games. Minetest had a way to browse and download all mods directly in the game for several months but now it can also actually download all the dependencies mods require - making it much easier to download what you want , and then put it into a game. No more downloading one mod, then finding all the individual bits it needs.
The built-in base game "Minetest Game" was also given a few enhancements. While it's not the most robust game however, it is a nice base to show off the engine and for extending with mods. Minetest 5.4.0 now includes crafting guides, five more wood variations, environmental sounds for active furnaces and lava as well as multiple bugs fixed and translations. It continues to build on the slow and steady build-up to something that is a bit more out of the box. The wolves are never very far away
Other options include the ability to alter the cross-hairs when you point at objects the ability to freely bind mouse buttons, name tags for players now have semi-transparent backgrounds, a caverns option to generate flat maps, and the 'place’ and 'fig keys are easily set up. There are numerous bugs fixed, including the inability for players not to access the inventory of other players.

It's great to see this open-source game engine and game making a splash. According to the official server list, Minetest is used by many people, with hundreds of them active at the time this article is published.
