I was watching the news and saw a surveillance tape recording of a girl's death that fucked me up pretty badly. Her and two girls were physically fighting and in the scuffle she fell out of a second storey window along with one of them and while the other girl's fall was cushioned by piles of snow, the girl hit her head on the corner of concrete wall. Her body slumped down and rolled towards the camera and you could literally see life leaving her eyes. The last frame was of her glossy look, too still, too unnatural. She was gone. Dead, just like that. One moment she was here, the other she wasn't. It was scary to realize once more how fragile human life is.

The weirdest part? It was only a dream I had during my 15 minute nap this morning. It felt so real. I am still shook up by it.
