I know many people will disagree with me but listen. I like Aaron way more than Matt. I'm not saying any of them is perfect or awful or anything like that but I want to talk about their relationship with AndrewI mean yes, Aaron doesn't understand Andrew for the most part of original trilogy and yet he knows he doesn't. He wants to know what is on Andrew's mind he just doesn't think he can get an answer by simply asking. He thinks Andrew did what he did to their mother because of some unknow reasons even though Andrew told him why. But Aaron grew with a person whose "love" for him never was a reason to protest. More like the opposite. Why would he believe that Andrew who didn't even know him most part of their lives would do something the "closest" people didn't. And if Andrew keeps lying why bother to ask? So Aaron doesn't. And still he keeps his relationship with Andrew closer to none. Until the Katelyn incident he doesn't antagonize Andrew openly. And after the end of their deal he really tries to talk to Andrew. To understand him. He is angry this all is new and strange but he really tries. And then Matt. He also was hurt by monsters. He also has every right to be angry and he is. And he continues ignoring them and their reasons for any future actions just thinking they're "evil or uncontrollable" and they don't need reasons to do something awful. He just decided they're and going to be vilains. Aaron sees an opportunity to talk and takes it as much as he can and Matt gets a lot of answers for free and doesn't bother to think about them. And he judges Andrew and monsters for things he did himself. Monsters are violent and fight people(mostly as an answer to little violence)? And Matt hit Kevin also. Andrew doesn't want to engage in conversations? Did they do anything to try to treat him normally? Matt says he lives in reality and he doesn't acknowledge that Andrew has his own reality. Of course he doesn't have to do any of that but he complains about that and also wants team to be together. At least he could have tried to talk with Neil about that. When upperclassmen learned about incident with Aaron's mother they were mad at Neil and Renee for understanding Andrews perspective. He refuses to step out of his comfort zone and waits for monsters to go all the way for him. They act like a really good friends with Neil(because I can kinda say they are) and still they don't give Andrew any chance.Again Matt in particular has every right to do that obviously but his actions and his words don't seem to be the same. That's why from Neil's pov it's easier for me to respect Aaron's actions. I understand why people love Matt thought. But us for me his behavior sounds a little like double standards. Foxes are about second chances after all
