hey! name's shaun, also known as that guy that pretty much always smells like pizza. don't blame me, blame the job. not like i dreamed of being a pizza planet delivery boy. what i really want to be is a toy designer. they don't exactly make college degrees for that though, so until then i'm stuck majoring in business.

Come back to me with your “Hulu is better” when they save good shows from dying. Lucifer getting its fourth season on Crownflix heavily tips the scale in their favor, and that’s without even considering how much good witchy content Crownflix already has. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina? Always a Witch? The Magicians? The Worst Witch? And AHS, and that’s just off the top of my head. What does Hulu have in terms of witch representation? Bubkiss.
Yeah, and it’s fourth season was anti-climactic as hell, so good job Crownflix. I mean, that was Almighty Johsnsons level of disappointing, I can’t even with the logic behind how they ended that season. And that’s still just your opinion, which is fine, but doesn’t make it any better than mine.

Okay, saying CrownFlix sucks might be a little harsh – it still has a wonderful selection outside of all of those fake dating movies! But I do agree that Hulu overall has a better catalog. And newer isn’t always bad! I was hoping to find more old Alvin and the Chipmunks stuff on there but instead found a new show that’s been brilliant, I show it to the kids I babysit on rainy days and they’re obsessed. But sorry, tangent, back to Hulu! It gives you a chance to see new episodes of your favorite shows and it has a bunch of old favorites on there, not to mention it’s actually cheaper than Crownflix, so let’s be honest, people are only sleeping on it because it’s still has commercial breaks that they can’t cope with.
Okay, Crownflix blows, better? Kidding, but yeah, I get that it has other programming and stuff, but Hulu is more appealing? It has more of the stuff that I care about, and yeah the cheaper thing might also be a pro. The bundling with Spotify was genius on their part, and honestly the commercial breaks aren’t even that bad! By the time I get a commercial I need like a drink or a munchie so it all works out. I like that it has up-to-date episodes though, saves me from having to get cable or search for them on the internet.

Kally: I would personally want to because come on, there haven't been any that have had Jakku AND THE NEW TRIO IS SO OBSESSED WITH IT! Also, imagine getting to play as BB-8 as your piece! All the pieces should be droids, ALL OF THEM.
Shaun: Eh, I think I'd go R2 over BB8, sorry not sorry. Not that BB isn't great, but the classics, man. Can't go wrong with a classic droid. Oh, hey! On the board, the jail spot can be Jabba's rancour pit!

Okay, so. Not to get all nit-picky, but The Perfect Date doesn’t really classify as a fake dating movie the way I see it. Did it have a fake dating storyline? Sure, but it was only like a half hour of the movie and the focus was on whether or not Hot Main Dude would get into the college/lifestyle/girl he wanted. It’s a classic coming of age and you know what? The need for those never gets old, pun intended. It was kind of shit, though. My review for it goes up this week if you wanna watch me rip it to shreds. In the meantime, I dare you to say anything bad about TATBILB. That was just straight up cute.
Yeah, didn’t watch it. That and whatever the other one is, didn’t interest me at all. Which is why you can catch me over at Hulu, watching Teen Titans instead of that. So I guess even if I wanted to say something bad, I couldn’t because I didn’t even want to bother with it. And I don’t see that changing in the future.

I don’t know, Crownflix has some really great at-home fat blasting videos on there. It’s seriously nice for days when I don’t feel like putting on clothes to go exercise – I don’t get why Auradonians are so uptight about needing to have on like, a full body of workout gear when you’re just stretching and doing like, light pilates and stuff. It’s just a body!
Uh... I’m the last person to ask about that. I don’t think I’ve ever even set foot in a gym -- not including like for school because obviously that happened. For a second. Then I ditched.

Not unpopular at all, my friend. They’ve cancelled almost everything I watch lately. I cancelled in protest of the death of One Day at a Time but was considering going back when they cancelled Santa Clarita Diet too. I mean I like On My Block but not enough to justify $15 a month and sixteen seasons of Orange is the New Black. Also, I didn’t even know that TMNT was on Hulu but thanks for the heads up. I can’t wait to rewatch all the shenanigans and forget the live-action movie ever happened.
I just don’t find a lot of their original content to be that entertaining? Like I don’t know, none of it really caught my attention, like that Black Mirror stuff? I heard so many good things about it, but when I went to actually watch it I thought I was gonna die of boredom. I started watching Sonic Boom instead.

This is hardly brand new information, Phillips. We’ve all been watching the steady decline of Crownbucks for years now and they’ve steadily jacked up our prices but we all keep subscribing because we’re children of the instant gratification generation so what else is there to do? But let’s be real, they haven’t been shit since they pulled the masterpiece that was the Get Down but renewed the suicide wankfest that is 13 Reasons Why. The good news is, they’re bleeding money they don’t have on original content and losing their original subscribers because they keep pulling the plug on everything good after three seasons. The bad news is, they’re going to take Queer Eye down with them and then I won’t get to pretend I have five fabulous gay biffles every six months. But I guess I also won’t have to listen to Antoni teach full-grown men how to make guac like it’s actually hard or something.
Honestly I just haven’t been interested in much of their original content like it all sounds boring. I even looked at some of their newer stuff because it’s supposedly gotten better with time, but nah. It all still sounds boring. And my condolences for your gay biffles? I’ve never watched an episode so I’m honestly.... not sad to see it go.

Eh, c'mon. Crownflix has some good shit, even if they do have way too many direct to video style teen rom coms. Like, yeah. They’ve got that dumb “I’ll be your dream dude for a date" movie, but they’ve also got all of the Marvel movies. You gotta love a good superhero movie.
Yeah, but why use Crownflix when I could just... own the movie? Which I do own several of them, so I don’t need to pay a monthly subscription for it. Plus Hulu has superhero shows too so what would I need that for?

As a person who loves drama, theater and the whole nine yards, I struggle with this! I do like Hulu a little better because it has a bigger range of shows to watch, but that could just be because I love shows. Crownflix has a lot more movies on it though, so for people who like movies, Crownflix is their go-to.
Well, good news for you there’s really nothing for you to struggle with? It’s not a debate, just me giving my opinion. Take it how you want, use whatever you want, I just think Hulu doesn’t get enough credit when it actually has a lot to offer.

Pump your brakes, Shaun! All of them are great! With a capital GR AND 8. I think you’re biased because of the TMNT turtles, who totally rock, of course. Yeah it’s got the sorta lame dating movies on Crownflix but that’s not all it has. Have you forgotten the amazing new additions of Infinity War, Black Panther, or the Incredibles 2? Have you?? Because I think on that standpoint it’s much better. I love Hulu too but come on. When it comes to movies all Hulu has are those completely overdone repeated day sequels.
Uh, yeah. It’s an opinion, which are totally biased. So trying to find “evidence” and “prove” which one is better is, uh, null I guess? Was that sciencey enough for you? In my opinion, Hulu is better because it has more of the things I’m interested in. Which, sorry, isn’t really any of the movies you listed.

Like let’s be real, Crownflix has become more movie centric I feel like where as Hulu is more TV show centric. I guess it just depends on one’s needs. Personally I can deal with both, but honestly they each have they their own problems.
And there’s nothing wrong with being more movie-centric, but for me personally I’d rather have the tv service. What kind of “problems” are you talking about?

I have to agree Crownflix seems to be having a theme in movies lately but I don’t know if I can trade it in for Hulu. Crownflix still has a lot of great documentaries I like to watch and I’m not sure what Hulu has to offer.
Hulu has... a Barbie documentary? I was actually gonna watch it but haven’t gotten around to it. Or any of the documentaries they have, honestly. But you can find a lot of them online too.

Shaun: All's I'm saying is that Bo Peep could use an upgrade. Like seriously, she's been rocking that frock for like 50 years. Time for a wardrobe change at the very least. And maybe a better job.
