Evolution of the animation of Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 4

The animation of Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 4 has their differences and has gone through many different improvements between 1995 and 2019. Just by simply taking a look at the details that improved in the characters since Toy Story 1 truly shows the improvement of computer and technology. In the making of Toy Story 1, the animation wasn’t done overnight as it took a ton of experimentation before Toy Story 1 got down to business into the film we know that it will be today. Toy Story 1 used a 1.85:1 aspect ratio while Toy Story 4 extended to 2.39:1 (Desiderio, K. and Phillips, I., 2020). Contrasting the details from the first film to the fourth film shows the huge improvement of detail. An example of the improvements that they have made from the first film to the second film is the fur that is added on one character and then leading it to be added to many more. Toy Story has changed the world of animation for all eternity and because of that, it is irrelevant to recognize the significance of Toy Story throughout the entire existence of CGI.

In Toy Story 4, Pixar is not, at this point the company it used to be. The illustrators in Toy Story 4 utilized pictures that are based in real life situations as a kind of perspective for future animating purposes, while in Toy Story 1, they utilize the toys that they as of now have to plan the characters using their computers. Just by being able to see and appreciate these progressions were able to stun numerous individuals because of the numerous upgrades to each and every one of the characters in Toy Story. Just like the first Toy Story, Toy Story 4 wasn't done overnight as it had to go through rough road in able to be finished. The story went through a few drafts, and it wasn't totally set into place until late into the game. Despite all of the hardships that the animators had to go through, the results were as expected, very stunning and very beautiful. To finish up, both Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 4 are both beautiful in their own ways as their story is very touching. The only difference is that Toy Story 4 improved to be more detailed and had more life added to the characters.
