The Ace of Pentacles signals a new opportunity. The victory wreath in the hedge leads to the mountains which takes us to the 4 of Wands where the couple are outside the city walls with The Tower behind them. This joy and freedom will be hard to accept because letting go of the burden of the past is a struggle for me, as demonstrated by the reversed 10 of Wands. Even though the upturned figure now has gravity on his side, he still can't let go!

The 5 of Cups tells me there is still more grieving to do but that the process will lead over the bridge to the healthy engagement with life that's represented by the figures engaged in the game/competition in the 5 of Wands. Being comfortable with competition has always been hard for me because I tend to view setbacks and defeats as evidence that I'm defective in some way, rather than as a normal part of any process. This has held me back from pursuing goals (or even having goals!), so knowing that it doesn't have to be such an arduous ordeal brings a sense of relief.
