imagine you're a tiny (let's say around the 10cm/4in tall)

you have a regular sized friend that you live with, you try your best to help out around the house despite your size not allowing you to do much.

much of your role is being there for emotional support, you tend to sit down next to your friend whenever they're having a rough day to talk to them and cheer them up a bit.

one day you notice they seem to be really down, getting back home from work only to go directly to bed.

you, worried about them, decide to go after them and climb up the bed to have a talk with them like you always do, but just as you're about to ask what's wrong...

they grab you.

they hold you by their fingertips and pull you closer, putting you on their chest and telling you they could really use a hug.

as you lay on their very soft chest, covered by their equally soft hands... you can feel their heartbeat pounding like crazy, with them clearly not having a good time. you assure them everything's going to be alright, after which they seem to calm down a bit and their heartbeat steadies.

you ask if they want you to stay there a little longer, to which they happily agree while giving you a soft smile.

Sizeshifter idea

Character A is a hunter who is after a sizeshifter who has been terrorizing villages.

Character B is a sizeshifter, but not the one A is after. They're more gentle and wish to protect rather than destroy. B has their own agenda to confront the other sizeshifter, though they hope for it to be nonviolent.

B meets A while A is doing some investigating and B decides to tag along in order to find the other sizeshifter. The thing is though, they can't reveal that they are a sizeshifter because A has expressed prejudice against them as a species.

The pair grow close as they track the other sizeshifter. It isn't exactly healthy for a sizeshifter to force themselves to stay at one height for a long time, but B is determined to see this through.

Eventually, the other sizeshifter catches wind that they're being hunted and they decide to come get rid of their hunter. B has to reveal that they can sizeshift by growing to protect A.

A feels betrayed as they watch B fight (who they've known to be very pacifist so this is something which leaves them torn) the other sizeshifter. B manages to take down the other sizeshifter and hurriedly comes to check on A.

A is upset at B for hiding the truth, but they have to acknowledge that B is a good person and that not all sizeshifters are bad.

Ok, look, guys, there's a lot of G/t talk about hands in terms of handhelds and holding the tiny, but what about the tiny's hand?!

Hear me out:

Tinies gently bopping the nose of their giant

Tinies making little braids in the giant's hair

Giants watching the tiny work on something tiny in amazement because they never could work on something that small with their hands

Tinies using phones as some sort of smartbord

Tinies tracing the ridges of the giant's fingerprints, following its pattern

I'm sure there's a bunch of more things out there, but that's what I could think of from the top of my head.

Giant hands are cool and all, but consider the tinies too!

“There you are..” Whispers that still rumble your core as your trembling form is picked up by gentle, steady fingers— curling around you. Theres nothing but affection in the giants voice.

Giants with elegant, sleek hands and subtle clawed nails carefully plucking up a human between two fingers on their back and their thumb to their torso.

“Awh.. don’t tell me you’re afraid~? I’d never hurt someone as cute as you.”

A giants eyes clouded with affection, a distinctive blush on their features. Their eyes are half-open; focused solely on the tiny.

Giants being teasing when sleepy, gently cooing things like “Waking up a monster like me at this hour~? How brave.” or “Aww.. what will I ever do with you?” Their voice is more velvety, the gentle, sleepy rumble thats followed by soft giggles or a yawn. (even better if the giant has fangs)

Gentle giants that ask before kissing their tiny. Even if the tiny knows if they really wanted, anything the tiny said wouldn’t matter. The mutual respect and love.. throwing away the obvious power imbalances.. i love..

“Whats that look for? Sweetheart, im not going to eat you~! how could i ever do such a thing..”

Loving giants that pepper their tiny love in kisses— lips enveloping their torso and whatever else. The slight squirming of the tiny trying to get comfortable while so obviously giddy, and the giant pulling away as their love is either awe struck or sleepy now. (for girls, the tiny having maybe an accidental lipstick mark or two)

Looming over a tiny with a flirty smile, fawning over how cute they are— curling your hands around them or leaning in to scan their features.

Holding a tiny carefully— getting lost in the moment and beginning to massage their back, shoulders and arms with a thumb, patting their hair until they eventually have fallen asleep.

“You’re safe.” While holding a tiny so close, either comforting them from a memory or nightmare.

Giants kissing tinies on their tummy, its a vulnerable place that protects vital organs— so an abundance of trust would be needed. But goodness, would the gentle contact melt them..

Giants waking a tiny up, not bothering to fish them out of their comfort— instead picking them up, comforters, pillows and all.

(none of the below is intended to be romantic unless you want it to be! interpret this how you wish)

from the giant’s pov;

the tiny sitting on their shoulder, patting their cheek and telling them how brave they are, etc. while administering their shot

the tiny being the one to put the band aid on and giving it a little healing kiss

them scooting around the giant’s leg afterwards, carefully massaging the area so it isn’t so sore later

the giant scooping the tiny into their hands and holding onto them like a lifeline (because needles scary), but being careful not to squeeze too tight

the tiny wrapping their arms tightly around the giant’s finger to keep them grounded and present, chirping sweetly about how it’s all over and they did great and how proud they are

when the giant is having mood swings and really bad pms, the tiny is always acting as their anchor, telling them to look at them and having this magical ability to almost instantly calm/reassure them

the little guy not minding being used as a fidget toy when their big buddy is feeling particularly anxious

“soon enough you might even be almost as big and strong as me!”
