Prioritize quality over convenience. The energy you surround yourself with shapes who you become. Seek out positivity, integrity, and authenticity, and never settle for less—it drains your energy, dims your light, & clouds your vision. Value self respect, emotional intelligence, and meaningful connections that uplift & inspire you. Your energy, worth & well being deserve to come first.

Be intentional. Reach out to people even if they rarely reach out to you. Have food that both fills you up and nurtures you. Make a habit of catching yourself in the act of being overly critical of the things you do or the way you look (and choose to be nicer to yourself). Pick the scary new thing over the safe familiar thing once in while. Life is best lived when it’s lived consciously and with intent.

If you’re unhappy with who you are, view yourself as a foundation. You will expand, you will grow and you will reassess, while also realizing that who you are is necessary to who you’re becoming, and that there’s an inherent goodness inside of you already. It’s okay to start from where you are, with who you are.

if you don’t know how to gain trust in yourself: extract it from how far you’ve already come, the things you thought would hold you back but didn’t, the times you survived, the forgiveness you’ve granted others, the effort you have put in.

look at life as less of a race and more of a stroll. you get to set the pace. you get to plan your route. you can divert from the path sometimes, maybe even abandon your previous one altogether. you don’t have to keep up with those in front of you or slow down for those behind you – where they are has nothing to do with you. when you get tired, you can rest, and when you feel energized you can speed up. in any way, it’s a walk you’re on. and it’s your walk to be on. how you get through it and how you accommodate yourself and who you link arms with is up to you.

Knowing what daily actions need to be burnt, and what needs to be ignited, will be the difference between wanting to live a certain life, and living that life. Here's the June edition of what's going out vs coming in...
BURNING
Gossiping voice notes, spending the day on the phone back and forth with friends/family who are stuck.
Excessive screen time via Netflix binges (Bridgeton - yes you!), and window shopping online.
Daily screen time in excess of 2.5 hrs
Overthinking decisions consuming my energy.
Poor diet organisation, last minute food shopping
Unstructured days
Oversleeping
Getting distracted by POTs
Messy apartment
IGNITING
Organising my day with my little notebook either the night before or first thing in the morning, including meal planning in advance
Fresh flowers and candles burning each night to create ambiance in the apartment.
Clean and organised home that is a reflection of the inner peace and clarity of the mind.
A weekly workout schedule that incorporates sweat and increased blood flow along with strength training.
Dedicated time in nature either weekly hiking or beach day
Less screen time (cut by 50%)
Daily prayers, meditation & gratitude with God
Waking up earlier to seize the day (aiming for 5.30am)
Outfit planning to avoid the stress of what to wear
Daily reading / studying nutrition
Consistent with hobbies (currently painting classes and learning Spanish)
Dedicated time daily on 'move the needle tasks' (currently completing my book).
