This flag is one of the most Weird American Things I can think of
It's the POW/MIA flag. It's flown over the White House, alongside the American flag, since the 80s (off and on). As of 2019 it's mandatory to fly it over federal government buildings; it flies over state government buildings in many places as well. It seems like a neutral sign of military support, so it's easy to pass over it without asking "wait, are there any American POWs"
Then if you look it up it's the symbol of a Vietnam-era conspiracy theory debunked in 1993. This is the flag for the 70s/80s version of Pizzagate, and it flies over the US Capitol building and White House every single day

"people show their true colours in life threatening situations" no, they show you what they act like when they're mortally terrified, an emotion notorious for literally turning your entire brain off to the point where people who go into those situations as a profession need to be literally trained on how to not have that happen

i understand now why people went so nuts for these boys
it's not because they look like supermodels
it's because they look like supermodels who are absolutely pathetic sopping wet losers with no friends or social skills

did anyone ask for Another new rare pair?
I had this idea all the way back in January after Griff Garrison answered Adam Copeland's open challenge and finally I have written the thing.
Good Enough / rated T / Adam Copeland x Griff Garrison / ~550 words
Griff is licking his wounds when Copeland finds him. Cole is talking about – something, Griff’s not really listening, when his eyes flit toward the door and then widen, his mouth snapping shut. Griff turns, sighing when he sees Adam.
“What, you didn’t beat on me enough in the ring and now you want to do it some more?” he asks. Adam chuckles, hands up placatingly.
“I’m not here looking for trouble, kid,” he says. “Actually, I wanted to tell you how impressed I was with your showing.” He extends a hand, palm open and fingers together. Griff looks at Cole, who shrugs. He tentatively puts his own hand out, accepting Adam’s shake.
Adam looks at Cole and grimaces. “You, not so much. Leave the timbs at home next time you feel like dropkicking someone, eh?” Cole has the decency to look apologetic as he steps back, leaving Griff alone with Copeland.
“I meant what I said out there,” Adam says. “What you did took guts, and maybe the slap was a little misguided, but you got your point across loud and clear.”
Griff huffs as he stuffs his gear into his bag. “Wasn’t enough, was it?”
Adam chuckles again, the sound rolling down Griff’s spine. “Don’t be too hard on yourself kid, I’ve been doing this for longer than you’ve been alive. Your time will come.” He tweaks one of Griff’s curls, ruffling his hair a little. “Christ, you really do remind me a little of me.” It’s better than the usual comparison Griff gets, and he’s thinking about saying that when a deep sardonic laugh from the door interrupts them.
“Oh, that’s adorable,” Christian says. “You’re just chasing all of my – oh.” His mouth curls up in a sneer when Griff turns around. “I was going to say you’re chasing all of my sloppy seconds but you can’t even do that right.” He shakes his head in mock sympathy. “Maybe it’s fitting that you’ve found the sadder twinkier version of Jack, it’s not like the real one would have you after being with me.” He throws another sneer at Griff before swanning off.
Adam frowns at his retreating back before looking down at Griff. “You okay?” he asks, and Griff rolls his eyes, shaking off the concern.
“Yeah, it’s fine,” he says. “I’m used to it,” he adds with a wry twist of his lips. “Everyone wants the real thing and I’m just Griff Garrison – and who the fuck is Griff Garrison, right?”
Adam’s hand lands on Griff’s shoulder, squeezing. “Hey,” he says, “The real one,” he makes air quotes as he says the words, “isn’t the one who answered my open challenge. Griff Garrison is the one who did that, that’s who the fuck Griff Garrison is.” His hand slides up to grip Griff’s chin, tilting his face up to meet Adam’s piercing gaze. “You got that?”
Griff can only meet Adam’s gaze for a moment before looking away. “Yeah,” he says, cheeks flushing hot at the intensity of Copeland’s eyes. “Yeah, I got that.” His skin tingles where Adam is touching him. “Thanks,” he says.
“Anytime, kid,” Adam says. His eyes rake down Griff’s body and Griff’s face heats even more. “Anytime,” he says again, and Griff isn’t sure if he’s talking about defending Griff, or taking him on in the ring, or some secret third thing that leaves his skin still tingling when Adam steps back.
