Just thought to warn you all about some recent anti activity on Twitter. 

I was messaged on my twitter by someone who said they wrote Sheith fanfics too and wanted to talk to me - I instantly found this person a bit suspicious as this was the first time someone was so forward with me about writing fanfic. Anyway, I decided to do some digging on this person and their twitter page was...strange, but I thought I better check what they had liked, who they followed and crucially, who was following them - this revealed what I had suspected, they had ‘liked’ anti posts, followed extreme Klance shippers and were followed by other antis. 

So, I just wanted to warn you all now, if someone approaches you on twitter or tumblr out of the blue, do some checks on them first before you reply because you maybe being preyed upon by some antis - don’t reply and just block them.

The Familiar Battle

The battle commenced at twenty hundred hours when the screams echoed across the land soon followed by the cries of a young toddler with fat tears racing down her flushed red, plump cheeks.

“Daddy! Daddy! No!”

Shiro heaved a great sigh, resting his forehead against the bedroom door that had been slammed into his face by his errant three-year-old child, currently having a tantrum – because tonight was ‘Hair Wash Night’ and Sakura hated having her hair washed.

“Have you got her yet?” called Keith from the bathroom, having to shout above the sound of rushing water flowing into the bathtub.

Shiro grimaced, “Minor delay!”

He went to open the door, but it wouldn’t budge.

He shoved his shoulder against the door, panic starting to rise, the ‘Sakura’s Room’ sign going lopsided as he disturbed the weak blue tack.

“Sakura! Sakura! Open the door for daddy please.”

“NO!”

“Sakura! If you don’t open the door you won’t get of any of uncle Hunk’s cookies.”

That threat usually worked when Sakura refused to eat her peas, she would gobble them up and swallow them whole just so she could have a crumb of that sweet, sugary goodness that was Hunk’s baking (Shiro had tried baking his own cookies, Keith had to break out the fire extinguisher and then they had to buy a whole new oven – but they had least discovered their fire alarm worked).

“NO! I have the cookies here, I am never coming out!” she finished with a giggle.

Damnit, well played.

“Shiro! Have you got her ready yet?”

Shoot, Keith’s starting to get suspicious, if he found out that his husband – captain of the Atlas and former leader of Voltron – was bargaining with a three old who had barricaded herself into her bedroom – he’d be laughing stock of the whole of the solar system!

So that also ruled out smashing the door open with, as Keith said in the heat of passion last night, his ‘awesome biceps’.

Maybe he could get some more quieter assistance. Kosmo.

“Psst! Kosmo!”

The now massive wolf appeared beside him, gazing at him and most likely judging his parenting skills silently.

“If you can get me inside I will give you the leftover pizza from last night,” Kosmo placed his paw on his shoulder his intense gaze not breaking, “and I will make sure Keith never finds out.”

And with that the deal was brokered and in a flash of blue light Shiro and Kosmo were inside the rebel territory that was Sakura’s bedroom. There were drawings scattered across the floor, across the four walls and even on the ceiling, all of them depicting Shiro and Keith as well as the other members of her extended family, her grandmother Krolia, Kolivan, her uncles Lance and Hunk and her aunts Allura and Pidge.

The small lump on the bed was Sakura underneath her Red Lion themed blankets.

“Sakura, its bath time,” he said in the sternest daddy voice he could muster and hands on hips.

“I don’t wanna have a bath.”

“Tough!”

After dismantling the barricade which consisted of a chair, a bean bag, a toy chest (full of toys), five teddies, three cardboard boxes, a pile of blankets and her potty (thankfully unused).

Opening the door with a very unhappy toddler they were confronted by Keith, his arms crossed across his chest and eyebrow raised.

“What have you two been up to?”

Crap, okay Shiro you can lie, you may the Universe’s golden boy, but he could still tell a convincing lie – after all Lance still thinks he sleeps in his armour just in case the world needs saving again!

“Err,” good start to any lie Shiro, well done, “I was showing Sakura how to defend her bedroom, in case of a burglar,” nice save.

“She locked you out didn’t she,” how did Keith know?!

Shiro hung his head in defeat.

“Aw baby don’t feel bad,” Keith gave a soft kiss to his cheek, “at least you didn’t smash the door down.”

Was inspired by one of Michael McIntyre’s jokes about raising kids and just wondered how Shiro and Keith would handle parenting  :D

My RAGE Over Season 8 Has Inspired Me To Write THREE Fanfics!

1. Omegaverse/Regency period Sheith! 

Shiro is a naval officer, born in Japan but raised with the Holts in England. Before he is called off to war he falls in love with Keith, the son of the local Blacksmith whose scandalous relationship with a Gypsy woman has ostracised him from good society. 

2. (Technically a continuation of an old fic) where Kuron slips into an alternative reality where the Galra invaded earth during the time of the Roman Empire, Kuron is captured and again forced to be a gladiator - he meets slave Keith. 

3. Oneshots of how the episodes in season 7 and 8 should have gone basically.

The Epilogue = No Original Creative Thinking

If you look (I know I hate watching this again) the epilogue “scenes” you will notice a few things: 

1. Apart from the ‘kiss’ there is no animation, just pictures, probably because it was cheaper to animate just one scene

2. The concluding descriptions that accompany the scenes are not very well written, corny/cheesy and are overall basic conclusions of the characters - they were not written by the people who knew and created the characters - they were written by someone who had a basic knowledge of the characters (I would guess the writing was done by someone in marketing or lower down in the writing team). 

3. The animation style itself does not fit the proper style of the show, hence why many wrote it off as a ‘reasonably good’ fake leaks a few months ago - Shiro looks ghastly (he looks so old in those glasses!) and Lance just looks haggard - they don’t look like naturally aged versions of the characters from the show. 

4. Also, notice how there is no audio - the voice actors had come to the end of their contract and again to keep things cheap they didn’t call them in for more audio or have anyone write any audio.  

5. ‘Shiro found his happiness’ is incredibly cheesy and WRONG, as it makes it sound like Shiro’s entire quest throughout the series has been him trying to find his happiness. That sentence alone tells you that this was a rushed and botched job by someone with little to no writing experience. 

6. Shiro in the wedding scene, that smile looks fake especially when you compare it to all his other smiles aimed at Keith. The reason being is his eyes, there is no warmth there. Someone also pointed out on Twitter that Shiro’s body physique did not match up with how his body looked in the rest of the series. 

7. Moving out of the epilogue for a moment, I think that there were supposed to be more Sheith moments in season 8 that were cut or rewritten, Shiro just wasn’t his natural self and in so many scenes it felt like Keith and Shiro were supposed to be there but they weren’t. I think this was to do with the epilogue, they didn’t want Shiro appearing to be interested in any other male character now that he is out and proud - as someone in a review said, once one LGBT character is out, there can be no other main character who is also LGBT. 

Oh god, season 8 was a MESS! 

DW trying so hard to go, “look we did the rep now give us a medal!” without actually thinking how we wanted that rep to be developed and shown.
