HI. HELLO. I realize it has been. several weeks since I’ve posted here. I appreciate you all so much for continuing to tag me in things and I promise you I will get to them 🫶🏻

I’ve been active a lot more on discord and Pinterest, making new ocs and messing with old ones again. my life just got insanely busy these last couple weeks with me wrapping up my undergraduate degree here soon, I just happened to take an impromptu hiatus lol

"I was thinking we can go down to the river after service… sneak away for a bit?", Mercedes' voice trailed off as Abbigail pulled her away from the little spot the appointed Eden's Gate member had chosen to take her portraits at. Joseph had described it as standard procedure, but she was starting to doubt if any of the other people gathered in the distance in wait for the sermon had actually sat through what she had. The younger woman continued walking without saying anything about her suggestion, the silence from her friend who was usually chatty certainly gave her pause. It was only when they made it past the church and reached the far end of the Compound that Abbigail finally came to a stop and turned to face her. There was a twinkle in her gaze while her voice lowered as if she was worried someone might overhear her, "He stormed off. You didn't see it, did you, Mercy?" Mercedes pursed her lips, wondering if she somehow had managed to upset Joseph and would need to promptly do damage control, "Who? I'm a bit lost, friend." "Jacob.", Abbigail's excitement morphed into a frown, "Don't look at me like that, I swear he did." "Abby." "I'm serious." "When?" "Halfway through your photoshoot. He passed by, took a long look and then just fled… I haven't seen him in such a rush before." Mercedes couldn't help a smile from emerging, fueled not only by how taken aback Abby seemed at what she had witnessed, but also by the idea of the oldest Seed being on edge thanks to her. Messing with Jacob anytime he would visit was becoming sort of addicting, a way for her to break out of the routine the Father had thrusted her into. Almost makes Joseph having all of my pictures to himself worth it, and this time I didn't even have to do anything but sit there and… look pretty?

vitali at different stages of his life (click for better quality!) ↳ vitali uses he/him pronouns only! age 10; not necessarily a troublemaker, but still often found his way to trouble anyway. did not appreciate bullies and would often punch them on the nose if they went too far age 15; started bleaching his hair much to his mother's dismay, the only kind of freedom he managed to get at that age. had started to get into fights on the regular, standing up for his best friend mikhail age 22; absolutely off the rails in college, abusing every substance he could get his hands on. leaving home and losing contact with mikhail had not been easy for vitali and he struggled to pay rent and keep jobs age 24; fresh out of arasaka's training program and soon to be part of counterintel's finest. he was no longer as wild as in college, acting a lot more professional in hopes to make it far in the corporation age 29; vitali is a fixer nowadays, operating from wellsprings and no longer part of arasaka after having been fired some time back. he is well-respected by his mercenaries and known for his reliable services and good pay

Of course Aubrey had heard of the Council before. I mean– who hadn’t? They didn’t necessarily rule the streets, or Night City’s underworld for that matter, but they sure as hell loved to rub their asses all over it at any given opportunity and never in his years of being a fixer himself had he felt the need to associate himself with any of them. He understood why it was necessary, sure– the agreements they made and the city-wide gang activity they monitored and reported to one another were a vital part of ensuring business stability as well as their own survival– but he knew the biz well enough to not trust the feigned kindness and so-called sense of community they supposedly aimed for. Everyone always had their own agenda. None of it was simply out of the kindness of their hearts, to ensure the safety of the innocent citizens of Night City– it would be naive of him to think so and by then he knew better than to let wishful thinking cloud his judgment.
