ch eltham park eureka (specks of mountfort ex princess of mountfort) born 1925, uk. he was the result of heavy linebreeding on wallace (son of butcher boy, start of line BB) and teena (collie) particulaly through their son war baby of mountfort.

first registered as peter pan of mountfort, he changed hands multiple times in the first 9 months of life, before being acquired by mr. pierce. his name was changed to eltham park eureka, which was fitting - he went right on to gain championship and won best of breed at crufts in 1926. eureka eventually went to fry's far sea kennels, usa, but remains a cornerstone sire in british lines.

ch eltham park ena (eltham park eureka alt. peter pan of mountfort ex eltham park emmie) born 1927. she gained an american championship under the ownership of the far sea kennels.

ena was approxiamtely one quarter collie through her maternal grandsire eltham park advance. her sire eureka was also the result of linebreeding on wallace (son of butcher boy, start of line BB) and teena, another collie.

c.f. thompson, who was the breeder behind the inverness affix, with inverness patricia ca. 1909. patricia was bred to inverness hoy (start of line IH) producing inverness yarrow, whose cigarette card depiction is a common sight in sheltie history articles.

in 1911, yarrow sired the first sheltie to be taken up in the stud book. this dog was first registered as inverness gladdy, but renamed kilravock laddie when mrs thynne bought him.

laddie sired at least two sons, the most successful being walesby select in 1919, who earned a championship in 1921 and was later exported to the usa. unfortunately none of select's sons or nephews bred on, and the IH line ended. they are present in the pedigrees of modern dogs - both british and american lines - through their daughters.
