i see the difference between

asking with some small hope after getting to understand catra a bit better / demanding when catra knows shadow weaver's def lying about how much magic power she has left

and a huge variation in the motivations for their responses.

i see glimmer struck a chord with "one good thing" and catra's had a bit of an epiphany that this is literally her last chance to do that and keep her promise and she's willing to die doing it / and shadow weaver's reluctance to reveal she was, indeed, lying and likely having been struck by the chord of saving adora before it's too late, but not cause of adora's life, just cause she still needs her to get the failsafe to the heart

I love the versatility of Wrong Hordak as a character because in the two modern AUs I have going on right now, in one he is a literal child and in the other he is an eccentric middle aged gay uncle who designs nightclubs and both are fully in character.

as much as i hate horde prime i gotta admire how he showed up and humbled the fuck out of everyone. like SO many characters had an Oh Fuck moment where they realised there was so much more to everything than whatever feelings they had about the war on etheria. like he's the fucked up reason why catra and adora managed to rekindle their bond. and why glimmer was able to see she was wrong and apologise to the best friend squad. and the catalyst for glimmer and catra's friendship. and why hordak was able to realise he cared more about the genuine love he had from one person on etheria than anything else he'd ever achieved there. in conclusion I LOVE SEASON 5 YOU CAN PRY IT FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS.

My concept for Baby Trouble. I imagine they were born more "lizardy" and didn't start experimenting with hair until they were a bit older. I also used this as a way to experiment with my greens and see which ones make the best DT skin tones, hence why they're all different greens. I picked a couple favorites, one of which is called "pistachio," which I will definitely use as a nickname for Baby DT from now on.

And yes, this is relevant to a fic I'm technically still working on. I've just been in a drawing mood more than writing!

Being in the She Ra fandom when it was airing was so funny because you had this highly powerful character filled with righteous revolutionary rage and occasional bloodlust, generally carrying the squad through whatever dangerous mission they're on by teleporting them to safety, often only held back from destroying her enemies because her best friend did not approve of killing or stooping to their level, and the fandom took one look at her pink aesthetic and Catra's unreliable narration and was like "Yeah she's just too nice and boring she probably believes the power of hugs and friendship will save the world."

And then s4 hit and they were so confused why instead of hugs and friendship she believed in fists, murder, and dark magic. Like buddy she's been on this path for four seasons now, that's on YOU for letting the name Glimmer and the pink aesthetic fool you.

I think a lot about Glimmer’s word choice in Season 4: Beast Island when she’s talking to Light Hope.

Even though Bow’s the one who raised his voice and yanked his hand away, even though BOTH him and Adora were equally in favor of going to Beast Island (or equally against her, from Glimmer’s perspective)… what she tells Light Hope is “[Adora] took Bow and ran off on a stupid mission.”

Like she wants to believe Bow is an innocent lamb with no free will who was stolen by mean old Adora and never would have betrayed her otherwise. As has been happening all season, she STILL wants to blame everything on Adora.
