I am not fearless... I am terrified. I'm always terrified. I act like I know what I am doing but I don't. I can't change what has happened, and I can't go back to who I was. Every waking moment I am just terrified. I don't want to be afraid anymore.

1. What would be the theme song of your life? I Won't Back Down - Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers 2. What has been your favorite memory this year? I think that my favorite memory this year was landing my dream job as Sheriff of Hartsville. It's something that I worked towards for a long while, so finally getting that promotion was the best news. 3. What is the craziest/most daring thing you’ve ever done? Once, when we were younger, Fallon and I swapped places and fooled all of our friends into thinking we were each other for like an entire week. Even her boyfriend bought it, it was pretty hilarious. No one ever found out we did that either, until now. If you're reading this. 4. What talents do you possess that not a lot of people know? I can make bird whistles. 5. Which TV sitcom would you star in? Pretty Little Liars. 6. Which character would you be if you were in that sitcom? I think I'd be Mona, for sure. 7. If you could play a scene in a movie, what would it be and which character would you play? I'd like to play Rachel McAdam's character in The Family Stone. I've always loved how raw and warm that movie felt even though it was pretty dramatic. Her character had such a heart, and she was pretty relatable. I'd like to think of myself that way. 8. If you could make a difference in the world, what would you be known for? I'd like to be known for ridding the world of its injustices, even if it's just one crime at a time. 9. TRIGGER WARNING: DARKER THEMES. Do not read if you are easily upset by blood, death, gore, or murder.
It wasn't even 48 hours ago that Reese had talked her two sisters into making an escape from Miss Porter's School for Girls. They'd talked about it probably a million times before, but somehow they had never gone through with it until now. Reese had promised that when she wrote the ransom note and left it on her nightstand that everyone would be convinced that they were really taken by an older man, and once they were found they'd be taken home to Hartsville and reunited with their father immediately. She had promised that they'd be a family again. Little did they know, it'd be the last few hours that they'd actually be a family ever again. Regardless, neither Fallon nor Chesney could have ever imagined the events that would unfold over the next few days. Chesney was always Switzerland when it came to Reese and Fallon arguing, so it was no surprise when she refused to take sides when the two of them were arguing once again. "I swear to God, Fallon, you don't want to test me." Reese threatened as Fallon stood over her. A simple suggestion as to what they should retrieve for dinner that night had set her off. Reese was used to being in charge and she couldn't stand it when things didn't go her way, so when Fallon mentioned fish instead of a squirrel for the night it didn't take long before Reese had gone into another one of her rampages. "Fine." Fallon exclaimed, "let's take a vote... best two out of three?" She motioned over to Chesney to make her choice. After all, the majority always rules. Before Chesney could vote, Reese let out a frusterating screech that sounded like nails on a chalkboard before storming off into the woods somewhere. Hours had passed since she'd been gone, and Fallon had gone ahead and made a fish dinner for her and her sister. Leaving nothing left for Reese when she returned, she figured she was off finding her own food considering she was in one of her moods again. Darkness had covered the woods now, and the cold had taken over. Chesney began to worry about Reese, she should have been back by now. It was too late in the evening to go out and look for her, so the girls agreed to call it a night and search for her first thing in the morning if she hadn't found her way back by then. It wasn't long until they settled into their sleeping bags and drifted off to sleep. Meanwhile, Reese wasn't actually gone off too far. Earlier in the day she had found a pretty hefty rock and planned to use it on Fallon later that night. She'd always been jealous of her, of the fact that she and Chesney were the most identical out of the three of them. She'd always felt like the odd man out, and she'd often dreamt of what the world would be like if it were just her and Chesney, without Fallon being there forcing her to take sides. The thought of murdering her own sister crossed her mind far more often than she'd like to admit, and she never actually thought she'd go through with it... but something about being stuck in the woods for over a week had gotten to her. After their argument earlier, she'd gone and retrieved the rock she had hidden earlier and claimed herself up into a tree nearby where she could bide her time until her sisters had fallen asleep. She'd vowed to herself that she would make her move when they were least expecting it. As soon as she was sure the girls were good and asleep, she was ready to do it. She'd been talking herself into it for hours and she felt she finally had the nerve. The rock had Fallon's name on it, and she was ready to give it to her once and for all. She walked up to the sleeping bag where her sister lay peacefully sleeping. Unsuspecting of any danger lurking about. "This is for all you've done to me, you bitch." Reese said angrily as she raised the rock above her head before smashing it into the back of her sister's skull. As the blood ran down the side of her head and dripped onto Reese's shoe, a sudden realization that the blood made everything real came to her. "What have I done, what have I done?" Reese repeated to herself nervously as she paced back and forth, as she looked over to the other sleeping bag where she thought Chesney was sleeping. As the blood pooled underneath her sister's seemingly lifeless body, she thought to herself she had to get cleaned up. Maybe she could convince Chesney that it was someone else who killed Fallon in the morning if only she could hide all of the evidence. After all, she knew Chesney, and now that it was just the two of them she would have to believe her. It'd be just the two of them now, and forever. Reese quickly ran off to clean herself up, leaving her sister there to die. Soon after her footsteps had trailed off, Fallon finally felt safe enough to roll over and check on Chesney. As she was laying there, pretending to sleep, she had seen everything. Unsure of how it happened that Reese had mistaken Chesney for her, she was somehow crushed and relieved at the same time. She looked over to Chesney, who was whimpering and struggling to breathe. Fallon covered her mouth as tears began to stream down her face and she made her way over to Chesney and took her nearly lifeless body in her arms. "Chessy, I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. This is my fault. It should have been me, I know that must have been for me." She said in a panic, rushing her words together. She cupped her sister's head, hiding the wound under her palm, trying to stop the bleeding. "What can I do? How can I help? I can't make it stop." Her crying had started to become louder. "Sh sh sh." Chesney managed to utter out the breathy sounds to calm her sister. "It's okay, it's okay. I love you it's okay." She whispered as she struggled to grasp for air. Fallon shook her head. "It's not okay, what do we do?" Before she could answer, Chesney took her last breath as Fallon held her in her arms. She held her there in her arms for what seemed like forever before she heard crackling from the distance. She kissed her sister's forehead, and then laid her now lifeless body down on her sleeping bag and made her way back to her own. Fallon knew that from now on if she were going to survive, that she'd have to be different. She'd have to change in order to remain safe, and in Reese's good graces... and what better way to do that, she thought, than to give her exactly what she wanted. Chesney. Lying there in the woods that night, waiting for her sister's murderer to return, Fallon vowed to herself that she would pretend to be Chesney for the rest of her days, as long as it kept her safe.
