Rotten Wood and Wasps
It’s been 13 years and still finding mud dobber evidence. Here’s on that appeared today.
Also found that the lower threshold of the hatch had some rot. I filled it with Gitrot and some wood filler. I’ll vanish soon and maybe it will last a few more years.

Painting was interrupted during Covid and finished in May 2021.
2021 was pretty slow workwise so I was able to completely paint the boat. I had to finish what I started in 2018. I painted 24 consecutive days in May 2021. It was hell but it's done.

Water in Oil - 04-20-2019
One day I checked the oil and it look odd. It was milky. I had water in it. Yikes! This led to a 3 week odyssey to figure out what it was. I rebuilt the exhaust, pull the manifold off and couldn't figure out how it occured. In the end, after dozens of hours of work, it turned out to be a $2 anti-siphon valve on the exhaust that was stuck, letting water seep backwards from the exhaust back into the engine. Arggggg.... a $2 part. Anyway, I know that I have a new exhaust so that's good.
I found the water when checking the oil and seeing it on the dipsitck. Then I drained the oil. The tube is normally black with old oil. It was coming out gray and then white.
Manifold pressure checks found nothing.
The old exhaust needed replacing anyway. So that was not entirely bad.

Memorial Day 2010 Sail to White Rocks to eat and swim
We sailed to White Rocks on Memorial Day to cook out and swim. The air was really up, blowing 15-20. Fortunately once there, it calmed a bit and we had a fantastic day.

Order of Things
Since Tumblr would not give me access to my own Blog and I had to recreate it by copying and pasting, some things are out of order. Sooner or later, I'll catch up and the order by date will be right.
