When I describe myself as mulitfandom, I actually mean I usually drift between fandoms and during this time I won't be on Tumblr but then I'll just join a new one suddenly and be really obsessed and boom! lots of spam :)

me in real life: torture and murder are horrible and you shouldn't do them.
me in fiction: torture and murder are literally the two sexiest and most fun things you could possibly do and you should do them all the time.

Fandom is so different now and it’s becoming un-fun with how quickly shit moves.
I just want to enjoy things. I don’t want to have to play a game of Artist-Race that seems to be afoot lately.
Ya’ll eat up fandoms, leave artists and writers bone dry and then move on so fucking quickly then fucking wonder where all the Good Fandom Stuff is.
Idk Maybe cherish some things for longer. Reblog stuff. Interact with people. Comment and share.
Fandom is Capitalism now and I’m not being nuanced.

really depressing as hell that people are clowning around about these fires. especially the Eaton fire, these are normal neighborhoods, with families that have lived here for many years. it's not just millionaires vacation homes burning down. especially pasadena and altadena, many parts of them are historically black neighborhoods that date back to the area as an industrial hub in the early 1900s. and almost all the public schools in Pasadena are title 1, meaning they serve student populations at or below the poverty line. these are my neighbors, this is my neighborhood. and it's all gone now. Also!!! the news keep on rolling the same footage of these mcmansions on fire, but won't show the apartments (like mine) and small homes that are burning and gone. it's unbelievably tragic

on my way home last night I stopped to buy gas and realized that my fuel door was almost completely covered in ice and frozen shut so I did the logical thing and crouched down and lifted my shirt and pressed my naked belly against it until it melted

Southern California Fires Masterpost
please be safe guys!! if you can:
Stay off the roads. People need to evacuate, and traffic jams are dangerous!! If we block the roads, we block people from getting to safety.
Wear a mask, use air purifiers, and keep those who have respiratory issues indoors! Air quality is sucky right now, so be careful.
IF YOU ARE IN AN EVACUATION WARNING ZONE, PREPARE TO EVACUATE. Pack a go bag, run through an emergency plan with your family and friends, and make plans in case you have to get out quickly.
Stay calm, and if you are able bodied in an evacuation zone, try to help neighbors and friends escape. Either leave your keys in your car or take it with you - cars blocking roads cause problems for evacuees and firefighters.
If you suspect you might be mandated to evacuate soon, GO NOW! Don’t wait - it’s better to be safe than scrambling at the last second, or worse, on fire.
My post on what to do if you need to evacuate
How to pack a go-bag
Offer support to those who need it. If you have any friends or family in evacuation zones or warning areas, contact them and ensure they’re safe. Take in families or extend help if they need it.
I’m not sure if anyone can just walk up and volunteer at evacuation centers, but if you can, try and make it easier on those whose lives have just been completely uprooted.
WAYS TO HELP, MORE WAYS TO HELP
HELPING VICTIMS, MORE WAYS
CALIFORNIA FIRE FOUNDATION
VOLUNTEERING
RESOURCES & LOCATION
Try and conserve water! Firefighters are running out of water to fight the fires…their resources are already strained, so anything we can do to help is great.
Respect those on the front lines! They’re doing so much to keep us safe and lots of people owe their lives to them.
Make sure your pets are safe! In areas closer to the fires, wildlife is displaced, and they could end up attacking small pets. Doubtful that they’d attack humans, but be careful nonetheless! A lot of the fires are destroying the mountains where coyotes and other predators live, so be aware of any animals in your neighborhood.
INFORMATION ON THE FIRES
calfire website / nbc liveblog / la times liveblog
As of now, 20:07 01/09/25, the palisades fire has burned over 19,900 acres but is listed as 6% containment; the eaton fire is over 13,600 and still at 0%.
The kenneth fire is 960 acres and 0% contained. (fun fact, the evacuation warning for this fire was the one that was accidentally sent county-wide) - this fire is suspected to be arson.
The hurst fire is 10% contained and has shrunk to 671 acres; the lidia fire is at 348 and 60%.
The woodley fire (30 acres) is now 100% contained, as is the olivias fire (11 acres) and the sunset fire (43 acres).
All LA Unified schools and offices are closed today, January 9, and tomorrow, Friday, January 10. Most if not all private schools, Culver City Unified schools, and schools in the Santa Monica/Malibu school district are also closed.
At least 6 people are dead, over 10,000 structures (including homes) are destroyed. Over 45 square miles total (29,000 acres) have been or are being burned.
Red flag weather alerts will continue through today and tomorrow - winds died down last night but are expected to resume tonight!
Stay safe!!!

Historic wildfires blaze through LA months after the Democratically-run city cut fire service funds.
News headlines rhetorically ask us to consider what happens when CA inmates - working as firefighters for roughly $6 per hour - cannot contain unprecedented fires.
Billionaires drain the already water-starved state of its supply as hydrants dry up when needed most.
This system has to go.
