A hundred years ago I tried to start this RP group but lost the motivation right as it was getting started, but was thinking about trying to open it open again, if anyone out there is interested?

It’s a 1980s set group, with a big high school crossover of John Hughes’s films (specifically Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, and Some Kind of Wonderful, with potentially more to be added later)

I’d super love for this to happen, and even if it doesn’t or you don’t feel comfortable being tied to a group, I’d still love to know any other 80s movie rpers to write with on my Cameron blog

Phillip F. “Duckie” Dale | 17 | Senior | FC: Jon Cryer | Status: Open | 

Though most consider him a bit strange, “Duckie" Dale considers himself to be a romantic. Duckie is dedicated and passionate, except sometimes it can make his personality seem a bit obsessive. He acts like a goofball most of the time, but really can be a deep and emotional person.

Watts | Junior | 16 | FC: Mary Stuart Masterson | Status: Open |

Middle class misfit “Watts" is a rebel and the definition of tomboy. Though it gives her a lot of attention (and not always the good kind) she isn’t about to let it hurt her pride. Besides, the only things she really cares about are herself, her carefully chosen closest friends, and her drums.

Garth Volbeck | 18 | Senior (Drop Out) | FC: Charlie Sheen | Status: Open 

Even though he’s a serious outsider, Garth isn’t a bad guy. His family could be considered the bad part: a mother who owns a gas station that he works at, a sister who is rumored to be a prostitute  a dead father, and a brother who’s constantly in and out of jail. He’s lost in his life at the moment, earning the reputation of a bad boy with a drug addiction without the help of his brother who he had looked up to years before.

Andrew Clark | 16 | Sophomore | FC: Emilio Esteves | Status: Open |

A upper class teenager, Andrew is a star player on the school’s wrestling team. He has a winning-is-most-important mentality and can be very defensive at times. Though he is held in high standards and has high self-confidence, he secretly just strives to be accepted (most importantly by his masculine stereotype of a father and his peers.)

Steff McKee | 18 | Senior | FC: James Spader | Status: Open |

A handsome, chain smoking, richie with a penchant for parties and suits, Steff is used to getting everything he wants. And not getting something he wants only makes him want it more. Steff isn't afraid to tell it like it is with no need for any opinions but his own.

Cameron Frye | 18 | Senior | FC: Alan Ruck | Status: Taken |

If not for his best friend, Ferris Bueller, hardly anyone would know about Cameron Frye’s existence. A hypochondriac who usually feels better when he is sick and a constant worrier, Cameron isn’t one for any sort of adventures or risk-taking. Though, that doesn’t mean he isn’t easily suckered in them by his friends (and because he secretly enjoys that freedom from his straitlaced world). Cameron comes from a rich family of a neglectful mother and father that put more attention into money and material things than their own son.

Sloane Peterson | 16 | Junior | FC: Mia Sara | Status: Open |

Sophisticated and beautiful, Sloane Peterson comes off more as high class woman rather than a high school junior. She’s calm, cool, and collected in the majority of situations. In addition to being friendly to all sorts of people, her popular status is also kept by the fact that she is on the cheer-leading squad. Class does seem to bore her on occasion, so she isn’t afraid to use her charm to “excuse" herself from having to stay for it.

John Bender | 17 | Junior | FC: Judd Nelson | Status: Reserved |

A loner and a troublemaker, John Bender isn’t much one to care about authority or other people’s opinions. He isn’t afraid to tell you what he really thinks, no matter how much it may hurt. Though, to those who don’t know about his reputation he can come off as interesting and charming, but from there they tend to either learn to love his antics or to hate them. His rebellious attitude often gets him into trouble in school and by his abusive parents at home.

Jeanie Bueller | 16 | Junior | FC: Jennifer Grey | Status: Open |

Always overlooked because of her apparently “perfect” brother, Jeanie Bueller does her best in school and at home to try and be noticed instead of Ferris and also to prove to people that he is not as perfect as they think. It takes a lot to impress Jeanie and she is not at all afraid to speak her mind. She’s feels that she has to be the realist of the family if no one else is going to. In contrast though, when she does get attention (more particularly from a boy) she gets quite air-headed and giggly.
