vatanim sensin: hilal and leon
vatanim sensin is a turkish drama which is slow-paced and has romance, family and country as its subject. it is the first turkish drama i’ve watched and bro, it didn’t disappoint me. i found a video of hilal and leon (the bandage scene) on tiktok, i was so thrilled that i immediately watched the drama because idk why but i can feel their tension on that video ! i started this last week and i am currently on episode 23 s1, aside from the war that has been going, their story is what i am really anticipating. hilal’s character is lovely, i can relate to her being a patriot and going through lengths of defending it and defying the greeks. and leon, as a greek soldier and a son who is pressured by his father, a commander of the military, i can get this feeling from him that he can give anything up for hilal. watch the drama right now and see how he has been saving hilal ever since! they are so lovely, i love them so much. i love u, hileon <3

The Selection Series
Tumblr media
The Selection Series by Kiera Cass is a wonderful book. Aspen, at first, is a good man, he is just worried that he might not grant America a good life. Which is I think, as she said, is okay for her. Let’s all thank him because that’s where the story starts, to be in the selection. After all, there will be no progress in the story if Aspen did not insist for America to apply for the selection.
At Maxon’s first appearance, I didn’t really expect his personality to be like that. I thought he is going to be a boorish or arrogant prince who throws pompous language to anyone. Because for the past time I am reading books, boys were like that. And I obviously, now, hate and get fed up with boys like that in stories.
While I admire America because of her love to her family and uhm, to Aspen—even though he is not the lead. Because how can she love someone for that long that although Maxon is in front of her, still Aspen is her love. I am a house of cards, by the way, that’s why I can’t relate. Kidding.
I abhorred Maxon’s father for hurting him physically and loved the Queen because she is so sweet.
The miscommunication between them is really the problem and the lack of assurance. The uncertainty of both persons, Maxon and America shares to the reason why they are not still on a commitment. There’s a relationship, but there’s no commitment. And the fact that Maxon has other girls makes me crazy.
Anyways, I hate the fact that Celeste died. I loved her after she talked to America.
