There are three briefs on moodle. I plan to select the second brief——The Science.In this assessment 1 , I will try to analyse the animation film “ ink” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2YcEJhJA34&frags=pl%2Cwn).This film is an image commercial for the advertising of CCTV5.In this paper, I will mentioned these points:What are the features of the most animation film without traditional narrative?Which parts I think are the best parts in the film "ink" & How do I translate these elements into my own video and how do I use them?I checked some videos from NASA Scientific Visualization Studio, Which part can be improved?

The film “ ink” ’s Director is Niko Tziopanos. Its production company are Troublemakers.tv& weareflink. The film is only 60-second, but it vividly conveys the business image and the cultural connotation of CCTV5 (China Central Television).In the visual aspects, the greatest feature of the entire film is the flow of ink.The elements that appear in the film are all expressed in ink. For example: the architecture of ink, the goldfish of ink, the man of ink. The Ink, as a traditional Chinese element, can convey classic feelings to the audience.In the film, ink is designed as a motion element by cooperating with modern digital technology. It plays an important role in the expression and transition of the film.

There are some advantages from the film "ink" that may be translated into my personal works.Firstly, about color. In the film "ink," black and white are the two main hues. These two colors work together in a simple and layered way. Today, many technological companies use these colors for their advertising videos such as apple company (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qK4Re_ArS3Q&frags=pl%2Cwn). According to Lupton.E (2015),The application of black and white can bring unforgettable feelings to the audience. In addition, we can find some halo colors in the film.The use of this color can give the audience a sense of technology.In my personal work, I may continue to use black and white not just for simple combinations.Secondly, about the lens application in film.In the film "ink," the method of shooting a shot is a continuous shot. The camera never stops from the beginning to the end. I think it makes the film more fluid. In many films, the fluid of films is given priority by the producer.And I'm going to think about that a little bit more.Finally, the collaboration between the background music & sound effects and the elements in the film.I'm very interested in fast paced films.I might show that in my own work.

On the moodle, they provide some links to the topic "science" (NASA Scientific Visualization Studio, http://svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/ ). I checked their video. I think their video has some shortcomings. For example, video's style is more scientific even though they are official websites that represent authority. These films should improve readability, which will make it easier for viewers to read their information. These lacks will be changed in my personal work. Therefore, my work may not be a traditional animation film, that means my film without tradional narrative. My purpose is to let the audience get some information through the film. The style will be fast-paced short films. The color style is not too complicated. Improving the readability
